Hands up who believes in creationism/doesn't believe in evolution?

I know a lot of Christians who believe in evolution, so I kind of had this rather naive idea that people who didn't believe in it were very few and far between. But I just discovered someone I've known a long time, and respect a great deal, doesn't believe in evolution.

So who else doesn't? How common is it?

boiledeggandsoldiers, I can understand a writer of that time having trouble explaining evolution, but it's not even close is it.

I think the word 'metaphor' gets overused when what we really mean is "it doesn't say that at all"

If you are interested, I suggest Kent Hovind as an exellent source for the argument FOR the creationist perspective.

KENT HOVIND? are you serious rubetube?

Well, to be fair, i suppose he does effectively make the creationist position look untenable. Is that what you meant?

I like his extended vowels and emphatic releases on consonants though - he's a great speaker. I'd like to read more on the influence of Christian preaching practice on American oratory.

I'm sorry, that came out very rude, on what has been a respectful thread. My apologies, I'm now leaving.
