please, if there is a god, make my vote for Obama COUNT.

Heathcliffscathy · 31/10/2008 22:07

i'm so fucking serious and sincere that i make me want to puke.

i'm really serious.

and i'm very frightened of the alternative.

and I genuinely send up my heartfelt prayer. in the hope that it may be answered.

OP posts:
PortofinoPumpkin · 31/10/2008 22:07

Amen too. But please God, can he stop sending me emails asking for money and telling me it is all in my hands! I live in Belgium!

southeastalien · 31/10/2008 22:08

it's like you hope for the best but expect the worst

Heathcliffscathy · 31/10/2008 22:10

but you only expect the worst because you hope hope hope for the best.

if mn had any bollocks at all they'd stickie this thread. they won't of course (will they?)

OP posts:
mabanana · 31/10/2008 22:10

So God will make up his wavering, indecisive mind on a political issue depending on the prayer vote? Fuck me, Obama is DOOMED!

DumbledoresGirl · 31/10/2008 22:11

Can you get it all in your hands?

Heathcliffscathy · 31/10/2008 22:11

tsk (pmsl)

RottenOtter · 31/10/2008 22:12

Lucky Michelle!

Heathcliffscathy · 31/10/2008 22:18

In a way if he loses he wins. personally. but america will be torn apart.

OP posts:
Sazisi · 31/10/2008 22:18

Amen.
I love him; he's so articulate and decent, I keep forgetting he's an American politician. Love Michelle Obama, too

expatinscotland · 31/10/2008 22:20

k, this sounds shallow, but let's look at a lineup of world leaders.

picture McCain in there. ffs, he looks like he needs a zimmer frame, peeps. he looks like the type of chap you'd help on the bus or hold the door open for.

now picture Obama in there. looking alert, alive, crisp.

i rest my shallow case.

ilovemydog · 31/10/2008 22:22

Well, can't do anything else. I've voted, prayed, encouraged others to vote and pray...

May do a rain dance later...

RottenOtter · 31/10/2008 22:23

Well said sophable

I agree Expat

In the simplest of forms McCain does scare me (even to look at FREAKY)

as for palin - unworldly!

expatinscotland · 31/10/2008 22:24

i was sort of hoping hte baby would be here in time for election day so i'd have an excuse for being glued to the TV on election night - oh, can't turn it off, have to marathon feed. i'll just bring him in here.

DumbledoresGirl · 31/10/2008 22:25

Do any of you worry about history repeating itself? Thinking back to 1963.

expatinscotland · 31/10/2008 22:27

'Do any of you worry about history repeating itself? '

Um, no.

DumbledoresGirl · 31/10/2008 22:27

I do.

Sazisi · 31/10/2008 22:30

I do too, and I thought that was the reason for the 'keep him safe' part of the op? Don't underestimate the Right

I also worry about history repeating itself thinking back to 2004
