Scripture to confirm that Jesus Christ is the Only true Son of God.,

Hi, I was following the “Do you believe in God thread” and it seems to have been closed. I read a post and wanted to reply to somebody who said that Jesus is not the Son of God. I just wanted to reply to them that why in Christianity in the scripture that we know that Jesus is the Son of God and explain why in my faith scripture supports that Jesus Christ is Only true Son of God.

Jesus is the Son of God but was also a prophet. He is also the redeemer to come as this post will explain.

Let me first say first in all three faiths we share much of the Old Testament and believe in the same God. I remember this topic right from my university days comparative studies between all three faiths.

I want to share a document about the Messiah prophecies about Jesus Christ to come that are in the Old Testament and commonly used online.

The Messiah prophecies have all be attached can be clicked on saved and enlarged. It comes in five images.

The word Christ and its Hebrew parallel means the anointed one which Christ is. Not added to that document above and to come to your attention-The Rod of Jesse in Isaiah 11 is also a prophecy of Jesus Christ to come. The Rod of Jesse/root of Jesse was the last rod for Jews and culminated with the Lord. Christians on this rod are his followers itself. God’s famous rods started with Aaron which placed which was placed in the arc of Covenant as a reminder and bore flowers as a promise of regeneration for the Jews. Jesus became as Christians our vine and we became him branches in the New Testament (John 15).

It is Jesus the redeemer and heir to David who will redeem us all and the Jews to from exile-Jesus is from the offspring and roots of David (Revelation 22: 16). Some Jews believe that the Messiah prophecies are for David to come, but this is inaccurate and it is Jesus who will redeem them. "I will set up thy seed after thee (after King David), which shall proceed out of thy bowels, and I will establish his kingdom. He shall build an house for my name, and I will stablish the throne of his kingdom for ever. I will be his father, and he shall be my son (2 Samuel 7 12-13). God in this scripture also called David his servant and said that his Son was to come.

This scripture further points that Jesus Christ will be the one to redeem the Jewish people. Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that I will raise unto David a righteous Branch, and a King shall reign and prosper, and shall execute judgment and justice in the earth. In his days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely: and this is his name whereby he shall be called, the Lord our righteousness Jeremiah (23: 1-6). David will return in the new Jerusalem (Hosea 3:4-5).

Jesus is also known as the Prince of Peace and more attributes which do not point to who is to come as being a mere mortal being and this is mentioned in (Isaiah 9:6). “For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.”

God also confirms in the New Testament Jesus as his only Begeotteon beloved Son –“this is my Beloved only son who I am well pleased" (John 3:16 ). Then in Luke Jesus was asked to this question if was the Son of God and Jesus said that yes he is the Son of God (Luke 22:70). He does not lie and the God the Father simply does not lie as well.

The miracles and healing he gave as we all saw in the New Testament that Jesus Christ ministry gave are well known in the New Testament around 40 in number they were as recorded in the Bible and I saw too with my own eyes in church and in my life, the healing that he gave me. I saw a child who could not walk once an after a few times of healing work at church he started to walk again. This was a miracle of Jesus Christ in our era. It is Jesus Christ who primarily who approves the gifts of the Holy Spirit this as he is the head of the church who appoints these gifts and roles of ministry (Ephesians 4:11).

The Church Body which are made of human beings are the members of the church and Jesus is also the head of the Church and we are part of this body (Ephesians 1:22-23). He promised to send believers a comforter after his resurrection Christ as a Christian gave me the spoken comforter which is the Holy Spirit (John 4:11)? The comforter is the Holy Spirit you receive when you are baptised of water and spirit..

The Son of God is an expression which indentified Jesus of Nazareth as the being who has had an eternal relationship to his Father (Psalm 2:7 ) "You are my Son; today I have become your Father." "You are my Son; today I have become your Father." Christ claimed to be the Son of God (Matthew 4:3; 8: 29; 27:54). (Matthew 4:3; 8: 29; 27:54). This too makes clear that Jesus is the Son of God (John 5:18). Also in the New Testament the term the Son of God appears in the New Testament almost 50 times. God also confessed that Jesus was his son at his baptism and at the transfiguration (Matthew 3:16, 17; 17: 5). Jesus also said that he is the Son of God (John 4:15) Revelation (2:18) (John 20:31) (Matthew 4:3) (II Corinthians 1:19) (Luke 8:28), the Jewish Sanhedrin condemned Jesus for blasphemy (Matthew 26: 63-66); (Mark 14 :61).

Jesus also was eighty times called the Son of Man which means God and the Messiah for humans in the New Testament. In Psalm 80 he was also called the Son of Man and was to called the Son of Man throughout Ezekiel to.

Jesus came to life as a mortal divine being through an Immaculate Conception. Angel Gabriel told Jesus' mortal mother to be Mary that she would overpowered by the Holy Spirit and receive a child and that would be God's Son.

This story is found in the Gospels- (Luke 1:26-38)-" And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name Jesus. He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David". The book of Luke is considered a highly reliable historical source which I know nearly all my life and it is the word of God.

I think in some countries more signs of Christ and the Holy Spirit presence will convince more people that Jesus is the Son of God and that eternal life is near and they will a season at least a while and will stay like young cubs parked with a lion on grass with him.

More history confirming Jesus Christ life is the Dead Sea Scrolls-
The Dead Sea scrolls contain (Isaiah 53) prophecy which is about Jesus Christ life to come. These scrolls were found in caves south of Jericho in the Dead Sea are and contain Biblical evidence the period of time between the end of the Old Testament and the beginning of the New Testament. There are two scrolls Isaiah, one being complete. To our understanding of the period of time between the end of the Old Testament and the beginning of the New Testament times, and to a better understanding of Hebrew and Aramaic.

We have done the 1st resurrection of Christ and are waiting for the Rapture (1 Thessalonians 4:13-18) which will happen in a twinkling of an eye (1 Corinthians 15:51-52) and then will come the 2nd judgement and second coming and judgement and then New Earth/Heaven.

We should be working in the field till he comes-"Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left." (Matthew 24:20).

I had healing in 2024 as I had a nervous condition. I saw a neurology consultant, and had a nervous condition which started to make my body vibrate. It got bad and I never asked and one day I went to church and was in complaint that morning. I went to church and took the Eucharist and received healing I could tell in the driveway before leaving the church grounds. I never prayed for healing for this. They did this for my best interests and had the condition for some time.

Also, I got a bit mauled by one of my conditions and they caused damage. All the connections in my brain would communicate together. In 2025 in April I was very affected by this and I was sitting in church and felt the breath and wind of the Holy Ghost around me and my head just started being worked on and stopped all the connections connecting and communicating like talkng to themselves. It was so appreciated.

I also had extreme anorexia in 2023 -Oct 24 and was below BMI 11. I got some Holy water which was blessed by my Anglican minister and a light circled my ankle when I took the water which was blessed and I could see how thin my lower foot was for the 1st time. Before I couldn't see it. I think Christ was showing me he could help with recovery and I wasn't seeing myself accurately the right size, that it was may be in the brain. The Holy Spirit and faith went through to support me with recovery after that. I was saying at the time that what can I say to people now if I see myself as the right size..but it phased out and the real work soon began.

Also, in 2014 I had an intervention that saved my life.

Getting the gifts of the Holy Spirit is common for believers They are appointed by Jesus Christ. I was told at 17 that I would be given a gift by a senior minister as life would be quite difficult for me at times and it was there to protect me primarily. It was not special treatment and it was done by God's free spirit to us.

Did d you consult a doctor and receive treatment for any of your conditions?

1)I saw a consultant for an eating disorder the same one from 2020-2022 and then the same one from April 2023-Jan 2025. She was an Anglican minister as well and also an NHS eating disorder specialist. So yes I saw them for this.

2)Also, I saw a neurology consultant-but my GP didn't give me to give any medication as she said my body wasn't strong enough and too many side effects and more symptoms was coming. I got scans from my neurologist which was helpful.

3)I don't know how it worked as my scans showed repetition in the brain increases but I never heard of the condition where members can all communicate like that. I looked it up and saw something once but cannot find it again. I got help though the same after praying for it I went to church and this happened.

You sound very vulnerable, @Justmerach — and very much in thrall to these ‘ministers’.

I think that may be you might consider starting a thread and getting advice from other parents (or teachers) who had teach their children about religion who didn't go to may be a faith school.

You can still have a broad education and have your faith. I looked at the creation theory at university and didn't think it ruled out there being a creator God. Also I did about the dating of rocks a bit of geology and had a faith. I studied biology in school and had a faith.

It could be argued - indeed it is, by Netanyahu among others - that God still supports the wars of the Israelites.

Wearing his Allah hat, he supports the other lot. Difficult!

No idea what he was doing through the first 45 years of the 20th century, letting two of his biggest teams down quite badly. They should lodge a complaint - I bet they did, actually.

I think @RedTagAlan ’s point is that you can’t believe in Genesis as literally true if you have studied geology, evolution etc. And if Genesis is a poetic myth, what else in the Bible might simply be the attempts of a pre-scientific society to try to explain the origins of the world and its own history and ritual practices?

I have had the kindest of ministers in my life. I started going again to a church in 2014 an Anglican church and had to go to hospital in 2015 and returned in 2018 home. I saw a church chaplain sometimes in hospital. I then after attended an evanglical church in my area by a lovely minister who had a weekend group once a month for those who had chronic conditions, but the church service wasn't right for me. I started goin to an Anglican church less than 5 minutes from me from 2022 to 2026. It is run by mainly three female ministers and they are really nice. I asked them to bless the water myself as I have seen wonders through it in my life. I am treated well by the church and them

I also at times go to my Catholic church primary school church's two of them, I like getting Holy water from them to and attended last in November for the Eucharist. I was baptised in this church. The Holy water they have is blessed by the priests and this is a traditional Catholic church.

I have not come to harm from these ministers, but more people who have been eager to help in the past and some of those who they tried to get involved was not right for me. I have found my right place though and have never run into a minister that was difficult personally.

As I posted earlier my DT’s went to a school where religious education was prohibited. The school had children from dozens of different nationalities, backgrounds and faiths.

We taught DT’s that although DH and I were atheists, other people believed in different things. No one was more right than the other. There are many gods and belief systems. DT’s were free to decide for themselves if they wanted to follow any faith. As it happens they are both 100% atheists.

Educationally wise I’m glad that religious studies wasn’t allowed to be a part of their school curriculum.

Sounds like it’s the NHS you should be thanking.

I thank all the consultants I have seen. It was not them who healed my nervous condition and it was not them who did an intervention in 2025 in the church. It was Christ and the Holy Spirit who cleary did this and the consultants I went through for the formal process of diagnosis, but it was not them who healed these.

The Holy Spirit is not there to make you materially wealthy, but to help to guide you and teach you things spiritually about the faith. They can give you comfort, joy and be an advocate to. This is about things of a spiritual life and developing the spirit and taking their guide. They are not intrusive and if you ar enot interested then unless your life at risk, you have to seek them out through prayer. Mine recently gave some me some words of knowledge which was helpful recently about a situation that I was trying to understand. This came through the Holy Spirit from Jesus Christ ministry.

They can also do more things than this through the gifts of the Holy Spirit or through their own prescence. I think to speak to a local minister of a church that you may interest you or phone them if you are interested.

Doesn’t sound as it would change my life - it’s pretty good as it is.

This is a very long and wordy overview of conditions characterised by uncontrolled synaptic firing. You could call this different parts of the brain talking rapidly over each other. It was quite hard to find one that covered the issue as a whole topic, I apologise for its complexity.

Your trembling sounds like a form of epilepsy, which is caused by bursts of random synaptic activity.

You've had such a hard time, @Justmerach Thank you for sharing. I'm pleased you've found a pathway to peace, and more than a little relieved that your favoured ministry is a group of women. Wishing you a continued healthy relationship with them - and good medication.

what do you mean by this - if my life was at risk, I wouldn’t start praying.

I mean that if you really not devolping your faith, they may stay silent until you pray in some cases or seeked it. Now I had my faith in my heart from 18 after I stopped attending a church and at times attending elsewhere. At 41 someone told me to pray as I was not that well. Someone had a message from the Holy Spirit that I should I pray and I did and I was given an intervention from God. I was a Christian and they seeked me out to warn me.

They can come from an inner core and not like they are speaking to your head and ears. It is coming from your spirit.

There is a 10 year old who prays in tongues with his father.This is one of the 8 gifts of the Holy Spirit.

I have a nephew who is a very sensitive and people are different and the inner core can be very subtle and you may think it is you, but it is your spirit. If someone was actually speaking to someone though some people might struggle with that. If some gifts involved talking like prophecy a branch of it that was auditory, that might be not suited to everyone. I was given this gift but it was visual and they wouldn't speak for decades to me to my knowledge and they would me send visions infrequently about my life and when I was serving in the church. They all support Christ's ministry. There are eight gifts and things like faith which is non communication I imagine mostly. God is most suited for his children.

There are also fruits of the spirit which can grow which are -love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.(Galatians 5:22-23).

Two of the individuals who led people to safety in the King's Cross fire - by ignoring officials telling them to use the exits (go upwards) and using service walkways to go down - reported hearing the advice from an invisible, strong leader. Neither of them was religious, but they were both right in that fire seeks to rise. They said they hadn't been aware of knowing this fact. It's also noteworthy that they knew where the service doors were, having passed them twice a day without consciously 'seeing' them.
