Or Wiccans. or Pagans? Or anyone who is interested in a magical path or feels some magical stirrings.

A place for support, learning, swapping ideas and magical inspiration.

Hi Darling and other lurkers, newcomers.

I think my word may be “prosper”. I’m going to give it some thought to be sure.

AnotherCrazyBirdLady · 31/12/2021 10:09

Hello, @DarlingCoffee and all other newcomers!
Interesting to hear of you all having words come to you for the year ahead. I have words I use for a couple of weeks, a season at the most, I feel they tend to evolve into one another, but saying that, I am impatient, and always looking over the next horizonGrin

Windy again here today, I shall use it to clear out my living space and my sluggish energy!
Blessings to you all for 2022 and may the page turn to wonderful new opportunities Star

Swanhilde · 31/12/2021 10:39

Good morning. My word for 2022 is 'hope'.

These are my favourite spring irises. Last year they did not flower, but I have noticed this morning they are coming through. This brings me joy. As does a small pot if paperwhite narcissuses on my kitchen window sill. They may be in bloom for Imbolc - we will see.

New year's blessings to you and yours.

Oh I love your words! Mine this year are going to be expression, magic and flow :)

New year blessings to all of you.

Ieatmarmite · 31/12/2021 11:10

Bright blessings, fellow witches.
My word of the year is Courage, which is why I've finally plucked up the
courage to post in this thread.

Wishing you all a happy New Year.

TotoAnnihiliation · 31/12/2021 11:32

Ohh I like picking a word, mine this year will be "believe." I think it covers most things and promotes positivity.

HillsBesideTheSea · 31/12/2021 13:14

Mine is balance, and if you have been here for my posts this year it will be very clear why. Blush

hilariousnamehere · 31/12/2021 14:03

Hills, I told Mum yesterday about you prioritising your priorities over other people's demands and she nodded safely - we get it! We are also attempting to do the same this year with varying degrees of success!

hilariousnamehere · 31/12/2021 14:11

Sagely not safely!

BettyfromBristol · 31/12/2021 14:28

Popping in for a mug of tea and bringing flapjack to those who would like a slice. My word for 2022 is growth. Literally, in my garden as I have plans, and also in other areas of my life. I want to grow some skills and grow certain aspects of my business. Loving hearing other people's words, plenty to think about.

Thekormachameleon · 31/12/2021 14:44

My word for the year is trust/believe

For the first time in 20 years I am single and have to try and navigate finding somewhere to live etc

I am going to trust the universe will look after me because right now I don't have any answers

dementedma · 31/12/2021 15:18

Greetings sisters. Have had a tough few days as suffer from low mood at this time of year. Still an age before i go back to work and the boredom is chewing at me. Am going to smudge the house tonight in the hope of banishing the negativity in my house and in myself.
Let us turn our faces to the light.

speakout · 31/12/2021 16:38

Hi sisters- a few tough days for me too- in fact a few tough weeks. HillsBesideTheSea I have taken your idea on board recently too. I am so loaded down by being the one that looks after everyone - and my youngest is 21.
I am fed up being the one that everyone turns to to organise, to feed, I have just stopped- for the time being. I wil be making a simple nutritious dinner for myself that I love- and no - one else likes, and I an fed up of compromising my diet for everyone else.
I will be cooking for myself only. There is plenty food in the fridge, but it's up to them what they eat or cook. I am spent right now. Not ready for a healing phase just yet- It hasbeen a battering year, but I am just laying down my packs. I will have some tofu with ginger and sesame, bok choi with garlic and soy- easy to make, one pan to wash.
Afterwards I will be planning some of my new journalling/self help manual, I have lots of themes and ideas , tonight I will be working with thoughts of boudaries and walls- I have been cutting out and working with scientific artwork of the semi permeable membrane of the cell, the great wall of china and several others. If I am deep diving I need my sacred circle to start with.
I can't commit to a word for the year, but right now at this moment is unburden.
Also started reading this lovely book- at a slow pace, I need another month to have a deeper dive into Brigid. I am still unloading my suitcases! But so far the book is full of soft nurturing energy,

And a warm welcome to the new comers- always comfort and tea here. My batteries are a little low to welcome you all individually, but I am very glad you came.

And my word is shine

VioletCharlotte · 31/12/2021 19:26

Good evening to you all. Sorry some of you have had a rough ride over the last few days. Christmas can be a difficult time, lots of tricky energy around; dealing with family members and their emotional lack of routine, the pressure to be sociable. Also, the burden it puts on women is ridiculous, no wonder so many of us are exhausted and burnt out

Speakout well done for putting your foot down and putting yourself first for once. I only have DS2 living with me but still find I'm constantly shopping for food, cooking, clearing away, washing, etc. I can only imagine how hard it must be for you with your family. It'll do them all no harm at all to fend for themselves. I've had a conversation with DS2 today about how he needs to do more round the house (he's 20).

I've spent the day packing Christmas away and cleaning the house ready for the new year. It feels nice and fresh and like I've shifted some of the stagnant energy. I was planning some journalling and cards tonight, but in all honestly I think I'll probably be in bed and asleep well before midnight.

The word I've been given is 'gentle'. I'm not sure I can commit to a word for the year but I'm going set an intention for now to be gentle on myself and with those who need it.

speakout · 31/12/2021 21:02

Just a little fun I have been having with our word intentions! Time on my hands this evening!

Oh wow, I love that Speakout! 💫

Aerwyna · 31/12/2021 21:17

My word for now is bold. Which surprised me as I expected something softer and more nurturing but there it is!

TotoAnnihiliation · 31/12/2021 21:33

@speakout you are a creative genius!

Not a witch, but pagan. Don't believe in any gods or goddesses but have a deep appreciation for the natural forces and seasons and see those as my higher power. Celebrate solstices and equinoxes and keen to deepen my spiritual life.

Hello sisters!

speakout · 31/12/2021 21:37

Aerwyna I think the word bold suits you well at the moment- charging like a warrior on your trusty steers!
