DutchOmainapeartree · 13/12/2007 21:00

We pray for ourselves:- that we may make time to be "Marys" as well as "Marthas" in all the busy-ness leading up to Christmas.

We pray for our precious husbands in the words of the prayer I quoted earlier:-

Dear Lord, I pray for Wisdom to understand my man;
Love to forgive him;
And Patience for his moods;? and?
we won't go into the rest of the prayer so close to Christmas. (Full text on the old thread)

Pray for NorthernLurker's dh to find a job soon and for Harrisey's dh to find the strength to do a stressful job. Also for Bobsmum's dh to find a new job before February. We pray for peace and quiet over Christmas in all household, especially where dh is not fully committed to the Christian faith, that they may see the loveliness of Jesus around them.
We pray for those without husbands, for NSFN and Mummy2T&F. Also for Creambunnie.

We pray for our children; from the tiny unborns (Podglet, Bobsmum and CaptainCaveman) to include all our children young and not so young. Pray that we will be able to show them the love of Christ. That we may be able to protect them, help them. We pray for Roseylea's dd, Bobsmums ds, Mary's ds, NQGU's ds, that they may be able to cope with life at school and with the holidays.

We pray for those who have suffered bereavement, for QoQ family on the loss of their much loved grandfather. For Mufti's dh who lost his father recently as did Santas(Shreks)missus' dh.
We pray for Pepperpots in her loss

We pray for those with worries over sick friends and relatives, for Spookymadmummy's Mum and for her stepdad, just out of hospital, for CaptainCaveman's friend and little one in hospital, (Lord if possible, bring her out of hospital before Christmas) also for her teenage friend with eating disorders. We also pray for CC's dsis and her dd. Lord, we pray Your healing over that whole family.
We pray with Muppetgirl for her mil and her mother, who is ill and a long way away.
Lulumama and Rubyslippers' grandma.
We also remember OJ and Steve and their 3dcs in our prayers.

We give thanks with Geekymummy for healing in her marriage for PandaG doing well in her new job and enjoying it.
We pray for TheWiltedRose that she may have a very happy Christmas and that she may come to see the One Who is behind it all.
And we pray for CaptainDippy that she may feel surrounded by the love of Christ who is the Provider in all her needs.
We pray for 'absent friends', for Soozy, Creambunnie and MumtoGusandAlbie
Lord, we bring You our prayers and our worship in this Christmas period.

Afternoon all!

Welcome back Sooz and your new laptop - DS has been like your 2 for the past 2 months too - cough, cold, repeat as required! It must be so much harder with 2 poorly ones though, make sure you rest too

DO - glad puss is ok if a bit patchy. Hope DD is getting on ok, I only moved 3 months ago from one side of the town to the other and that was stressful enough with DS too.

Hi CD - how are the girls - have they calmed down a bit yet?

Hi also to CC - 7 weeks already? You'll be catching up with me soon...

podglet · 28/12/2007 16:08

New pics now on - sorry not a great bump photo, hoping to get more from PIL soon. Some lovely ones of DS if I say so myself...

CaptainDippy · 28/12/2007 17:15

Nope, Podglet - still as high as kites Lovely pic - bless you and your DH - Your DS is sooooooooo yummy - makes me think that I could have a boy

Poor pussy, DO Praying it's quick, iykwim!!? Nasty to see animals suffering. xx

DutchOmainapeartree · 28/12/2007 18:50

Actually he has been fine today CD, has had some of the turkey left overs and been sitting on dh's lap. No different from when we took him yesterday.
Great picture Podglet, good to see such closeness.
Pray for OJ that she has a more peaceful night than the one before here

CD - you're not pregnant aswell are you?????

Podglet - rotton winter colds eh????? I do have 3 children, but the ds 11yo copes a bit better with a cold and cough than the 4yo twins, I can't believe they will be starting school next september and will be doing visists in June and July, WOW! my babies. Actually 3 is an odd number, but I don't think at our age it is advisable to have any more children, my ds1 always counts the house rabbit 'fifi' into the equation to make me feel better.

Its ok don't worry, I'm rambling and I've only been back a day.

Prayers for a lovely weekend to you all
Mad Sooz!!!!!!!

CaptainDippy · 28/12/2007 20:43

glad your cat is doing ok today DO

Good to have you back, Mad Soooooooz! Me? Pregnant? Nope. Not at the moment, anyway!!

Praying for OJ. xxxx

Hey ladies, just surrounded by a very noisy train set atm.... trains crashing left, right and centre.

Been bargain shopping today with the very generous money from my pils! Bought a new coat (half price) and the cosiest, fluffiest, pinkest dressing gown!! Roll on 7pm when I can get my pjs on!!!!

Podglet - thats a fair old bump!! Are you around 23 weeks now? Lovely photos of ds too, a very scrummy boy!

Eeek, it's peeing it down up here. Perfect weather for wearing pjs and a new snuggly dressing gown.

Feeling sick - can't decide if it's ms or too much chocolate. Hang on though, you can;t have too much chocolate so must be ms......

CaptainDippy · 29/12/2007 19:19

CC

Praying for your client, Mars. xx

Knakcered here, hoping to go out for a drink with a friend, DH still suffering .....

DingdongMaryBonhigh · 29/12/2007 19:59

Flying visit...

Prayers for all pregnant ladies and for Mr Dippy's manflu

Would welcome prayers for tomorrow, as I am leading the service, which is a non-Euch children's service, with nativity acted out by the Sunday club rather than a sermon. DS will NOT be going as I will not be there to protect him from railophobes (and DH couldn't be persuaded to go), as I'll be "up front". DD isn't going either as she is off to the panto with friends... Its been a while since I've led a service, and not since Good Friday has the vicar sat in on one that I've led...

We'll be singing While Shepherds watched to the tune of "Cranbrook" (aka On Ilkley Moor bahtat) , but apparently its use with OIMBT came later than WSW - see below:

www.msgr.ca/msgr-2/on_ilkley_moor_bar_tat%202.htm

DutchOmainapeartree · 29/12/2007 22:18

Every blessing for your service Mary. May all the praise and the glory go to Jesus who is the author and perfecter of our faith.

Good luck mary! I hope everything has gone well this morning.

Perhaps I should have taken the twins to church this morning, they've done nothing but fight this morning - GGGRRRRRRRR!

They are both on time out step atm - think they are feeling hemmed in, not been anywhere at all over christmas with them not being well. Me thinks they are recovering if they are fighting!!!!!!

Might take them swimming later if their behaviour improves. Aw they are sooo cute, I can hear them talking on their steps!

Right 4 minutes are up I had better ask them back in the lounge.

Tarra for now!

Happy Sundays

DingdongMaryBonhigh · 30/12/2007 12:27

Flying visit to say the Spirit was with me this morning and that it went really well! There was a good attendance there. I made a few mistakes, but nothing horrendous, and people really seemed to enjoy it, so that was good!

santasmissus · 30/12/2007 14:00

hi
hope all had a lovely christmas, ours was fab

mars i had pe with dd and she was born at 29wks as a result but i still managed to breastfeed exclusively, following a few weeks of expressing and tubefeeding while in scbu. prayers for your lady that she is ok and that babs doesn't need special care; reassure her on the bf front that it definitely can be done even if the start isn't that straightforward.

hope everyone else is well and a peaceful new year to all

CaptainDippy · 30/12/2007 19:36

Evening! Glad the Service went well and you got positive reponses, Mary.

DH still suffering, DD's very up and down, but ok - I fine enough

Love, hugs and Prayers for all - Lovely to "see" you SM

notsofarnow · 30/12/2007 21:31

ok who can recommend somewhere for a retreat? Now please take account of fact that i'm in North Wales just outside Chester so nothing toooooo south please. Oh yes and cheap

DutchOmainapeartree · 30/12/2007 21:46

Hope Dippy dh soon gets better and the girlies continue to be very, very good.
You need to tell them, you know how very, very good they are, in the end you even believe it yourself.

OP posts:
CaptainCaveman · 30/12/2007 21:48

Evening ladies - hope you are all ok?

Sorry NSFN, I don't know of a retreat but many of the other lovely ladies on the thread do. In fact, if one recommended is not too far I might look it out for myself!

Ds' sunday school was a bit uncomfortable today as one of the older boys got sent back into church for being 'boisterous' with his brother (they were play fighting). The group leader told him he was being an idiot and told him to get out . I can't abide people calling others idiots, especially when adults say it to kids . he's only about 11 or 12. Thankfully one of the older fellas went and fetched him back. And there was I thinking maybe I could leave ds in sunday school on his own soon! Maybe not.

Praying for dh CD, how is he this evening?

Did you go swimming Sooz?

Much love to you all, may the peace of Jesus rest with you.

DingdongMaryBonhigh · 30/12/2007 22:19

NSFN - I am on the lookout for a retreat as well - DH has said he'll pay for one as a Christmas treat.

This one was recommended on another board, its in N. Wales:

www.beunos.com

or this one:

www.glenfallhouse.org

Does that help?
