We pray for ourselves:- that we may make time to be "Marys" as well as "Marthas" in all the busy-ness leading up to Christmas.

We pray for our precious husbands in the words of the prayer I quoted earlier:-

Dear Lord, I pray for Wisdom to understand my man;
Love to forgive him;
And Patience for his moods;? and?
we won't go into the rest of the prayer so close to Christmas. (Full text on the old thread)

Pray for NorthernLurker's dh to find a job soon and for Harrisey's dh to find the strength to do a stressful job. Also for Bobsmum's dh to find a new job before February. We pray for peace and quiet over Christmas in all household, especially where dh is not fully committed to the Christian faith, that they may see the loveliness of Jesus around them.
We pray for those without husbands, for NSFN and Mummy2T&F. Also for Creambunnie.

We pray for our children; from the tiny unborns (Podglet, Bobsmum and CaptainCaveman) to include all our children young and not so young. Pray that we will be able to show them the love of Christ. That we may be able to protect them, help them. We pray for Roseylea's dd, Bobsmums ds, Mary's ds, NQGU's ds, that they may be able to cope with life at school and with the holidays.

We pray for those who have suffered bereavement, for QoQ family on the loss of their much loved grandfather. For Mufti's dh who lost his father recently as did Santas(Shreks)missus' dh.
We pray for Pepperpots in her loss

We pray for those with worries over sick friends and relatives, for Spookymadmummy's Mum and for her stepdad, just out of hospital, for CaptainCaveman's friend and little one in hospital, (Lord if possible, bring her out of hospital before Christmas) also for her teenage friend with eating disorders. We also pray for CC's dsis and her dd. Lord, we pray Your healing over that whole family.
We pray with Muppetgirl for her mil and her mother, who is ill and a long way away.
Lulumama and Rubyslippers' grandma.
We also remember OJ and Steve and their 3dcs in our prayers.

We give thanks with Geekymummy for healing in her marriage for PandaG doing well in her new job and enjoying it.
We pray for TheWiltedRose that she may have a very happy Christmas and that she may come to see the One Who is behind it all.
And we pray for CaptainDippy that she may feel surrounded by the love of Christ who is the Provider in all her needs.
We pray for 'absent friends', for Soozy, Creambunnie and MumtoGusandAlbie
Lord, we bring You our prayers and our worship in this Christmas period.

Morning all. Think i've got a urine infection, don't know whether to ring doc or just keep drinking gallons of water.

DippyChristmas · 26/12/2007 09:32

I'd ring Doc & drink gallons of water - get some cranberry juice in too. xx Praying. xx

CaptainCaveman · 26/12/2007 11:07

Good morning ladies! I hope the festivities were fun in your houses? I felt sick most of the day but we had fun playing games and watching christmas tv.

Truly blessed to not feel sick today - Thank you God!

notsofarnow · 26/12/2007 11:13

I've rung doc and have to pick up a prescription in half hour. Just hope there's a local pharmacy open and i dont have to drive 20 mins to get to one. Flipping marvelous isn't it, cant believe I always end up ringing out of hours doc over christmas (usually for the dc)

What you all up to today?

DippyChristmas · 26/12/2007 11:15

podglet · 27/12/2007 13:09

Hello!

Hope you all had a nice Christmas and that it wasn't too stressful. We had a fab time at PIL's, lots of food and good company! DS was totally spoilt, he's had some really lovely things. So was I actually, my Mum gave me a pendant she had had made from her engagement ring!

DS is at nursery today and tomorrow so am supposed to be blitzing the house but am just back from sales shopping with Mum and am going to Chelmsford with a friend tomorrow!

CD - hope you are getting some rest lovely, glad you have heard from Sooz too

How are you feeling now CC? I had one teensy glass of champers with my lunch on Christmas Day and promptly felt sick all afternoon Will post a bump pic on soon now I am nearly 22 weeks!

Hello to everyone else, MUST go and at least hoover...

DippyChristmas · 27/12/2007 13:58

Glad you had a nice time, Podglet - The pendant from your mum is soooo sweet, I'll bet you were chuffed and choked too!! [shcok] - can't believe your DS' nursery is already open!!!!!! Got to wait til the week after next for that. Sigh ....

Off swimming now, byeeeeeeeeee

Roseylea · 27/12/2007 15:24

Hello all!

Hope you're feeling better soon NQGU. What a lousy time of year to get an infection.

Glad you had a good christmas POdglet - the pendant from your mum sounds lovely!

{{hugs}}} CD - we know all about going bonkers! Can you get a bit of "you'time" any time soon?

Hi Mary! Anything good in the sales?

We had a loely christmas, vey relaxed! I saw most of the extended family and ate far too much - may have a few inches around the middle! We are having turkey and home-cooked ham sandwiches for dinner tonight with christmas cake for pudding - I love all the post-christmas food!

I went into our local town earlier and met up with a friend from my teens whom I've not seen for years (long story) and whom I've prayed for and really hoped to hook up with again one day - the upshot is I'm going to her flat on Saturday! She's been through a lot of hard stuff since our teens, but was brought up in a very strongly christian family, so I'd really value any prayers for her.

CaptainCaveman · 27/12/2007 20:13

Praying for your friend Rosey, really glad you are back in touch again.

We told my parents about the pg, or rather ds told them! He said "I have a nouncement....mummy has my baby in her tummy". Bless him. They seemed pleased, if not a little shocked.

Praise God no vomiting, just nausea and super-tiredness.

ZipadiSuzy · 27/12/2007 21:22

Hia ladies, lovely to be back, on mi posh laptop!!!!! I bought it out of dh well earned business account! Thank you God for his successfull start to his gardening business. Shame I couldn't get the kiddies christmas presents from there.

i so wish i had a dp, but no such luck. Never mind i'm sure that God has it all sorted somewhere in the greater scheme of things

DutchOmainapeartree · 27/12/2007 22:32

Lovely to hear that you had a nice Christmas Podglet and that Bean is doing well. Hope you impress us with a picture soon.
Praying for your friend Rosey, that she might find Jesus in the hard places.
Praying for strength and patience CD.
I looked after Z for a few hours; dd is moving today and has already done a run with the car to pick up the keys, now they have a van and need to do two or three runs to move all the furniture and it's hardly fair to take a baby. So she filled him up with milk and I had him till she has did another trip. He got quite fed up with Oma, but I gave him a whole Petit Filou and a grape, then stuck him in the shower where he STOOD UP BY HIMSELF WITHOUT HOLDING ON. He then went to sleep after a bit of shouting and slept till dd came to pick him up. I will miss them SO MUCH but it can't be helped.
On top of that we took our very bestest cat Jim to the vet today to be told he has very advanced cancer. They still hope to be able to do something for him, since he doesn't have a poor quality of life, just can't manage to eat more than a morsel. They have kept him in overnight, but hopefully he will be allowed home tomorrow.

@ DS having such a lovely lie-in, CC!

Sooooooooooooz!! Sooooo wonderful to have you back on your posho laptop (for "business purposes only", of course ) Poor you with your sick twins Praying they will back to full strength asap, you must be exhausted, poor sweetheart. This vicious circle of illness is soooooo wearing, isn't it!!? xx

Rosey - wonderful meeting back up with your friend, praying that God does an amazing work in her - Praying you have a great meet-up tomorrow, do let us know how it goes sweetie! xx

Well outlaws had older two last night!!!!! Admittedly, we had to put them to bed for them and come home; but they had them and now they've handed them over to some lovely friends of ours (they wanted to bring them back at 9.30 this am ) so after getting up with P, giving her breakfast and putting her back down for a nap, we had MacDonalds breakfast ( & went back to sleep for a while - I am not a great lie-r-in-er, but it is sooooooo nice to have a bit of peace and quiet and rest from the older two. Praise God for nice friends!!

DO - So hard for you with DD moving away {{{{{hugs}}}}} about your poor cat too. xx Prayers. xx

DutchOmainapeartree · 28/12/2007 13:04

Well, we brought our cat back from the vets today and apart from a hefty bill and several bald patches he seems just the same as he did before. My guess is that we will just let him get on with it, we know we can't keep him forever.
The move seems to be going ahead, but very stressful for dd.
