Hi - just seen this, so haven't had time to read the whole thread.

It might not be the same spirit - it may well be a completely different one, and it may be connected with the house, or the channel may be your ds, or someone else in the family.

You mention stress ATM. IME that increases the chances of spirit contact/activity.

You will probably have to get a really experienced medium to come and sort it out.

We started off with one quite pleasant spirit, but asked her to leave because she was disturbing the dcs.

Once she left we had a hive of activity for a while - I think she must have been keeping the others in order .

The second medium who came - (recommended by the local CS church) said the house was full of activity - well I could have told him that...... He sorted it all out, but we were left with one very unpleasant spirit that had nothing to do with the house, but was attached to a family member.

We sorted that out eventually.

Sometimes it takes more than one go, is what i am trying to say. HTH.

we have noticed recently, one of your dogs keeps weeing in the hall, which does not usually happen.. do you think it is possible the dog is seeing something/ someone and getting a fright?

last time, DS was not affected by anything at all. so this was quite out of the blue

Both the mediums who came to me were from the spiritualist church - but the first one realised he needed someone a bit more experienced, after things got a bit more lively, and he put me in touch with the second person. They knew each other and it was all very amicable.

The second chap was obviously very experienced - referred to in church circles as "used to dealing with the heavy stuff" .

We are all quite sensitive in my family, so we just accept that these things happen. some spirits are nice and others are not so nice.

I am sure you will be able to find someone to help you.
