Sunny days
Plan to go to the seaside today (which we've not been able to do for so long).
The news in Scotland yesterday that means I can see my two daughters earlier than planned.

A day trip to the sea with a chippy tea followed by ice cream. It was a bit chilly at bits but stunningly beautiful blue skies. And watching the sea spraying over the harbour wall as young kids ran screaming with laughter at getting wet. One of these perfect days out. Feels like forever since we've had that. My youngest even feel asleep on the drive home. The day was pronounced "A grand day out Gromit".

Watching a film this evening with my lovely crew.

The joy of watching someone i thought deserved it, winning the Masterchef final.

A big push declutter, still not the end of it, but clearing our physical space seems to be feeding my soul.

New addiction to treadmill jogs, been a while since the sweat dripped, feels good.

Eldest finally attending a sports after school club, first year secondary and it hadn't happened until this week. A step towards better days, fingers crossed.

Yesterday...
Taking to the park and just hanging out there on my own most of the day to let him play with his friends. It's usually a bit of a labour of love because it has been so cold but we live too far to leave him there. But it was so sunny and I sat and read my book. And sometimes another parent would come along and chat for a bit. Lovely.

Then, home to have dinner and watch a movie together with him.

Scotland opening up today!

Today was gorgeous weather here, sunny and (nearly) hot. We all laid down on the park grass and just enjoyed it! The kids ran around picking daisies. It was so lovely.

DH made another of my favourites for dinner.

Dear DH, he's so unwell with a chronic illness but he's still just trucking on, being present with us, I love him and I'm so proud of him, it's been a long road.

Today I’m grateful for

  • My new noise cancelling headphones which are stopping me being driven insane by the builders

A day to catch up with house and work stuff. Grateful for the holidays and a break from the normal routine but also grateful for the routine.
A sunny-ness and lightness to people you meet when out walking.

All my clients who are so looking forward to my business opening again. I have been so grateful foe them supporting me online but glad that we all are looking forward to connecting back fwce to face.
