Or Wiccans. or Pagans? Or anyone who is interested in a magical path or feels some magical stirrings.

A place for support, learning, swapping ideas and magical inspiration.

Thanks for the reply @VioletCharlotte I found a local yoga studio yesterday during my searching so am going to book in a few beginners sessions and hopefully it will be the kind of place which will help me make connections with like minded people.

It's interesting that you say the spiritualist church has helped you to find workshops too. I actually know where ours is as my Grandma was very involved with it when I was a child. I remember her taking me along on occasions and I know I always begged to go far more often! Maybe it's something I should look into now as an adult. It's always drawn me but I think I rebel a bit against any organised 'religion'.
I'd love to learn about tarot too but not sure if that's something that I just need to work out for myself. After actually deciding which set of cards to purchase! 😆

@InTheTempest It really is. We have an awkward, small, unbelievably overlooked space. It was always going to take a lot of hard work to make it usable, especially after builders completely trashed it a few years ago. DH has worked so, so hard over the last month or so doing structural work to it and making it into a space the children can play safely. I'm so happy I can finally have a little pile of pots with my herbs in and a few fruit bushes. I'm not even quite so bothered anymore by the neighbours who appear at their windows and glare as soon as we go outside! 😂

Thought you might like to see a picture of the woods we went walking in today. It was very peaceful (or at least it would have been, had I not had little people with me using sticks as swords!)

May you all have a restful evening

Lovely picture LongingToBeByTheSea I love walking in woodlands ( and hate the litter....)

Today we headed up to Maesbury Camp. Last time we got thoroughly pixie led and never found it. This time was more successful. I think we broke the dog though - he's been asleep since we got home! Lovely views of Glastonbury Tor from the top.

This week end is the Welsh Occult conference in Wleshpool - really looking forward to meeting up with some old friends - anyone else going?

YashmisCrone · 06/05/2019 10:55

Good morning all,

It’s lovely to catch up with everyone’s thoughts and experiences here. I love the energy of our space 💫

Salem that book looks lovely- just my cup of tea.

Violet I love the strength that experience has given you. Powerful stuff Smile

Loyaul I hope the mirror did the trick and that the visit wasn’t too draining. Flowers

BlankTimes I love the ‘guardian of the forest’ thing too. Beautiful. I also agree about the power of mindfulness.

speakout I used to do as similar thing when I went swimming in the sea- I’d carry a net bag and diving scissors- i’d remove underwater rubbish and tell the sea life that I respect their environment. These Tompot Blennies used to look particularly appreciate I think!

Following on from the bee discussion, I’m delighted that my echium plant, planted for the bees has now reached about 5ft tall. I lost last year’s to the frost but I’m hoping this one will produce lots of lovely flowers for the bees by next year.

That is such a lovely picture LongingToBeByTheSea thank you for sharing it with us. So peaceful and powerful 🙏

Elphame that sounds really interesting. I’ve never been to that conference but I used to visit that area fairly regularly. Wild and beautiful, I thought Montgomery was a lovely little town in amongst it all.

I hope everyone has a lovely bank holiday Monday. Love to all ✨

I just wanted to share this because I thought it was beautiful.

I love the image and I love the reflection on moving forward despite our fear. Not easy but very wise I think 💜

Thank you.

Thank you all for your kind words about my sweet boy – it was very much appreciated.

Yashmis I loved your bee article. I have heard of this before but I cannot recall where I picked it up. I read lot of folk lore and mythology so maybe that would be it. Love that happy fish!

River Your break in Harris & Lewis sounds wonderful – very cleansing.

Elphame Your Beltane ritual sounds lovely. Co-incidentally, I have sunflowers in the house this week which is most unusual as they tend to bloom naturally in late Jan/Feb here.

Loyaul I agree with PPs – you are so good to stay in contact with your DH’s aunt. I essentially went NC with the PILs after their 6 week (Shock) stay last year when FIL horrendously overstepped personal boundaries. DH & the boys talk to them via Skype but I just absent myself from the room (I know I should deal with it in a more adult manner, but I'm not in that place just yet. Also, another Leo/Virgo cusp here Hmm). I do hope the visit wasn’t too draining for you. I have recently realised I have a decent number of sparkly pairs of shoes that, now I understand more about protection, I will be using them much more!

I’m loving the relaxed, pottering vibe of your BH weekends. We had a very quiet one too, mainly due to my dodgy back/hip issues playing up. I spent yesterday afternoon (post GoT) repotting all of the citrus plants and some of the herbs that are growing well. I’m planning to buy some trough planters today as I have about 100 chilli seeds germinating at the moment, so the odds of getting some viable seedlings are good.

The days are getting cooler here now. DSs are both wearing sweaters to school. They have obviously acclimatised to the Qld climate – it is going to be a fresh 22 degrees today! We have mostly native & evergreen trees near us but the other day I drove through a street that had glorious red, bronze and golden maple leaves all the way down. I do miss the autumn colours - it was definitely my favourite season back home.

Wishing you all a wonderful week ahead.

Good morning everyone, I hope you all enjoyed your weekend!
Longing I love that woodland picture, I'm at my happiest among trees
Misty that Blenny is smiling so I think it definitely appreciated your efforts.
6 weeks?! ShockI struggle with a few hours.

Our visit went surprisingly well, maybe absence does make the heart grow fonder. She managed to actually show an interest in DH and the girls and I think the fact I was on crutches with a purple swollen leg made her realise we did actually make an effort to come and visit (it also meant we could keep it short Grin). Rivier I really like those suggestions for the future I think those could be exactly how to make it easier.

We managed to take the girls out to the beach yesterday and enjoy the coast, I was confined to a bench up above but dd2 actually stripped to her underwear and went for a dip (she just turned 4 though so got away with it). It was lovely being outside in nature but I'm paying for it now

speakout · 07/05/2019 13:31

Good afternoon wise sisters.

A challenging few days has seen me seek solace in my woodland sacred space.
I walked for half an hour through the bright green leaves and dappled sunlight, the air full of the scent of wild garlic, birds in full orchestra of chorus.
I had my litter kit in my bag, and saw not one piece of litter- I was so happy about that. Nothing- not a single bottle top or tin can.
We must be greatefulf for small things.

Thought I would share my patch of forest with you.

Have a happy day everyone.

Wonderful to see your sacred woodland space speakout and to hear that your rubbish bag wasn’t needed today. Lovely stuff.

Glad to hear the visit went surprisingly well Loyaul and that you got to the beach. I can relate to your DD’s urge to strip to her underwear and get in the sea- it makes me feel the same way, although less socially acceptable to do so in my case Grin

Misty lovely pictures- I love it that you have so many sparkly shoes!! I spray painted my chair at work reflective silver Wink

I hope everyone has found a little magic in their day today. I’ve just spent a refreshing few minutes standing outside in the rain Smile

Loyaultemelie · 08/05/2019 16:31

Speakout your forest is beautiful, I can see why you seek solace there!

Much needed rain here at long last hoping it continues, you can smell it and it's so refreshing

rivierliedje · 08/05/2019 16:39

The sky has gone through all colours so far today!
I woke up to streaming sunlight. On my walk to work there was frost on the ground and car windscreens. In the sun. Four hours after sunrise! Later the sky went all dramatic and it hailed for a good hour. Big white hail stones, then a black and moody sky with dappled sunlight on the hills. And it is now sunny again. Freezing all day though! I love it. It might as well be Febuary, except the length of the day.

YashmisCrone · 08/05/2019 21:37

I’m loving the rain too Loyaul!

Your day of weather sounds quite something rivier something very raw and beautiful about being so in touch with it all.

I’ve just been reading this astrology article. I don’t have a great understanding of astrology but I enjoy the idea of an energy we can tap into, much like the elements. Sounds auspicious for self love and possibly shadow work..

foreverconscious.com/intuitive-astrology-venus-in-taurus-2019?fbclid=IwAR2gndPtNuEz1yNtVxDhff9uCVVLz9dXu5N6ry_DjVLxF-NO23xyB1_zLsg

As Venus takes her annual journey through Taurus, she will be guiding us to tidy things up on both an inner and outer level. But something is different about her journey in 2019, and this is due to the presence of Uranus.
...
Uranus moved into Taurus back in March 2019, for the first time in almost 80 years. This means that Venus and Uranus will be together in Taurus for the first time in 80 years.
...
Venus and Uranus are not interested in fakeness or masks, together they want to expose more of our true and authentic self. Both of these planets want to peel back the curtain and expose what is truly behind
...
When you learn to love yourself and truly accept yourself for all that you are, everything else aligns. It sounds trite, but it’s true! Love yourself. Be your biggest champion. Don’t hide away. Just be You.

HillsBesideTheSea · 08/05/2019 23:35

We have missed out on the rain I think. Else I was too preoccupied to notice it. However, I have just driven home in fog and it was like a hug from the weather. All soothing and protective.

speakout your forrest looks lovely

yashmis that article is definitely food for thought. Thank you for posting it

Mistymount fabulous collection of shiny/glitter shoes. Magic is so fabulous in the tiny small actions and intentions of everyday life. Makes me smile.

BlankTimes · 09/05/2019 00:20

Speakout wonderful atmospheric image, I feel the new shoots and the joy of growth, it seems a young place, or a place where we can all be young.
I don't think it will be long before its GL recognises your Guardianship and welcomes you.

Interesting article Yashmis must admit the older I get the less I can tolerate the fakeness and masks that people hide behind.

For anyone who hasn't had rain today, it's okay, I've had your share, not only was it exceedingly heavy, it also decided to force its way indoors via the seal at the top of the window, then bounce on the frame and into the room. There's something absolutely surreal about standing inside a room looking at the rain and being able to feel it on your face. Halloween Confused

VioletCharlotte · 09/05/2019 09:53

Just popping in to say hello. I've had a busy week. Lots going on, with work and family, and also spiritually. I was joined by a new spirit guide at the weekend (this was the experience in the forest I mentioned). I feel I'm moving forward very quickly right now and being pushed to work harder. It's exhilarating, but also a little daunting!

I'm off to a two day conference shortly. Sometimes these things can be a bit of a pain, but this is one I go to every year and usually it's great and I come away buzzing with new ideas. There's also the added bonus of a night in a nice hotel by myself and being able to use the spa facilities 😊

Blank times we had heavy rain yesterday too. It felt more like November than May. I hope you managed to get the leak fixed and it didn't cause too much damage.

Yashmis thank you for that link, I will read it on the train!

Speakout your forest is beautiful. I can feel the energy from the image. Here's a photo of the forest I went to on Sunday.

loving the forest pictures

having a bit of a crap time at the moment so the rain suits me better - also gardeners tell me we need it!

FitzsFool · 09/05/2019 16:06

Afternoon sisters. Have been feeling a bit low and maudlin recently but feeling a little more grounded now I've checked in here and caught up with you all. All the lovely photos and stories and the sense of common ground here is strangely therapeutic. So thank you.

Violet your experience in the forest sounds fascinating, I'm sure we'd all like to hear more if you feel ready to share.

It gladdens me to see people being proactive in looking after our environment, collecting litter and just showing Mother Earth some respect. There seems to be a growing shift towards understanding that we exist with Earth, not just off her or on her. I hope it spreads and continues to shape our collective consciousness.

Been reading too much Eckhart Tolle perhaps!
He's not a witch, or a pagan , and yet I find a lot of what he says echo in those paths. But then there are echoes everywhere I guess. Buddhism, Tao, Jung, etc.

Though I should probably take on board his advice - less thinking, more awareness.
Then maybe I wouldn't get so maudlin in the first place!

Have a lovely evening all.x

RosaWaiting · 09/05/2019 17:40

Fitz " less thinking, more awareness"

I am writing this on my "wall of crazy" Grin

I hope you feel better soon

I felt terrible up to lunch time and then perked up.

Loyaultemelie · 09/05/2019 21:55

Fitz "less thinking more awareness" is brilliant, think I could do with this at the moment too, I have too much thinking time and it isn't always a good thing.
Yashmis oh no, our bedroom window is prone to indoor raining at times too, hope there wasn't too much damage!
Speakout, Violet such beautiful woodlands

YashmisCrone · 09/05/2019 22:13

I’m loving the descriptions and sense of connection with Mother Earth and her elements too.

I took an hour out to absorb some sea energy after work today. Never fails to lift and invigorate me.

less thinking, more awareness Really resonates for me too. Thank you for sharing that.

Violet I love your forest picture and am also really interested in your experience with your spirit guide. It sounds wonderful. I hope you’re enjoying the spa.

Love to all and particularly those who’ve been through tough times recently. There’s always tea here and like minded energy to share Brew 💫

BlankTimes · 10/05/2019 00:26

Less thinking, more awareness

I think that's resonating with a lot of us today, thanks Fitz

StarStruckStarGazer · 10/05/2019 06:54

Sorry I've been quiet, I have been trying to find a mentor that can help me develop and assist in Reiki / cleansing. Finally I think I have found someone, which is really exciting.

I wondered if any of you followed the idea of frequencies, with 5D being the ultimate frequency and 3D being where most people are at. It appears to have something to do with how the outside world influences you, if I'm right? (Could be wrong)

What is everyone planning for the summer solstice, it's safe to say Glastonbury & Stone Henge are going to be pretty manic. I think Stone Henge charge now too.

The focus of this year has been to connect with nature and everything 'Witch-like' more. It would be great to go away somewhere, I'm wondering how packed Glastonbury will be, also looking into alternatives.

Another question, being rather nosey with this, how much time / energy / effort do you spend each day / week on your beliefs? Have any of you lovely 🧙🏻‍♀️🧙🏻‍♂️ had someone who guides you, engages in cleansing / development etc?

A big problem I had till this week, I was engaging with other psychics and spiritual workers, the primary focus was £££. I had a lengthy conversation with this person I found, it just feels like we click and a beautiful friendship / guardianship (can't think of the right word) will evolve from this.

Do you do things your own way or follow Paganism etc?

Are there any spiritual places in England / Wales you would recommend for summer solstice celebrations? I would love to be part of a group maybe, sharing in the joy and festivities. (Also wondering if they accept strangers with open arms?)

Sorry this post was along one, I promise I'll catch up and post again later.

VioletCharlotte · 10/05/2019 08:13

@StarStruckStarGazer
Good to see you 😊 Your question about how much time we spend on beliefs is an interesting one. For me, it's increased considerably recently. I go to spiritual development groups 3-5 times a month. I also do 'open platform' a couple of times a month. These are all through the spiritualist church. In addition to that I practise yoga and go to various workshops, plus I do things at home and try and incorporate spirituality into everything I do.

In the past, my spirituality has taken a back seat to being a Mum, but now my DC are older I have a lot more free time.

To answer your question about engaging with other spiritual workers, I've met a lot of people through the spiritualist church. I know the word 'church' puts off a lot of people, but actually, most spiritualist churches are very open nowadays. For example, I practise tarot, and although you can't use tarot cards actually in the church, no one has an issue with the fact I do it and I can talk about it openly. What I like about it is that people are there because they genuinely want to learn and because there is a real desire to help others. It's not about money. I've also connected with a lot of spiritual people - healers, alternative practitioners, etc through yoga.

My 'mentor' is a medium in her 70's who I met years ago when I went to her for a reading. She is the most amazing person I know and I've learned so much from her.

Summer solstice - I agree Stonehenge will be packed. I've never been, the crowds put me off. I'm not sure what Avebury is like at the Solstice, my feeling is it may be quieter @InTheTempest may know?
I'm going to a solstice celebration near where I live. We're going to be doing kundalini yoga, a sound bath, and finish with a vegan meal, so looking forward to that. Do let us know what you decided to do.

I'd better get ready to start day two of this conference. I'm enjoying relaxing in my hotel room. Last night I decided to by pass the 'networking drinks' and go to the spa instead. I enjoyed a relaxing swim and sauna and slept so deeply 😊

Blessings to all for a lovely day 🙏

speakout · 10/05/2019 09:31

Good morning everyone, a bright, sunny but cold day here, only 6 degrees, just back from a yoga class and picking up some supplies.
I have just noticed my bean seedling have sprouted and grown already to a few inches tall, it's just a miracle to see life at work.

StarStruckStarGazer lovely to see you again, and interesting to hear of all your thoughts and explorations.
I can't help with the vibrational energy thing I'm afraid. Hopefully someone will be along soon to help you with that one.

I am a scientist, I tend to view "vibrational " spiritual energies in a metaphorical rather than a literal way, I am not sure that it is helpful for me to apply scientific principles to such things.
, how much time / energy / effort do you spend each day / week on your beliefs?

I live with my practice constantly. My spirituality pervades everything I do, my work, my communication with others, my cooking, cleaning, laundry ( shout out to my laundry witch buddies!)
If I touch a tree or food or feel the breeze on my skin- that is all part of my practice.
I am an everyday witch.
I do set times aside for special purposes, for Tarot or Spellwork or cleaning rituals, but a lot of the time I am simply weaving magic into my everyday activities. I use oils or salt when I wash, I will choose a crystal to wear if I need one that day, I will say a blessing over a cup of tea, or touch a large tree as I pass to thank it for the work it does in keeping everything alive.
I am aware of the goddess energy a lot though the day, I focus on love and think about ways I can weave magic into the work I do for myself and for others.
So no " down time for me.
My life is not perfect, it is quite an "ordinary" life, with good things and not so good things going on all the time.
But my magical path is entwined within my ordinary life, and fo me brings magic to the mundane.

BlankTimes · 10/05/2019 09:47

Are there any spiritual places in England / Wales you would recommend for summer solstice celebrations?

That depends what your definition of a spiritual place is, you've mentioned SH, Avebury and Glastonbury, all the popular ancient sites are very, very busy over Solstice and a lot of the public group workings are more for entertainment/PR than the real thing. Find a site near(er) you
www.megalithic.co.uk/topics.php?countries=1

Or if spiritual is a more generalised thing for you than observing a site interact with the sunrise, 'thin places' are all around.
