Good morning everyone. I'm having a coffee and enjoying catching up on yesterday's posts. I love reading how you all are taking pleasure from the simple things in life, it's so grounding and comforting. Beautiful, gentle energy.

Yesterday's event was a big success. It was a yoga and well-being festival, with all the proceeds going to a women's cancer charity. I was proud to be part of it, and had an amazing day doing readings and meeting some wonderful people.

Tomorrow we have a total solar eclipse, are any of you feeling the effects yet? I've already had one message from an emotional friend this morning. I've got a lot on this week, so making sure I pay more attention that usual to self- care.

I found the following which explains a bit more about the effects of the eclipse -

July 1

As Warrior Mars enters Leo we move towards the Total Solar Eclipse at 10 Cancer, 20.17BST tomorrow, 2 July.

A Total Solar Eclipse is like a super-charged New Moon and this eclipse landscape is all about feeling. It calls us to find the courage to feel whatever we're feeling, particularly our vulnerabilities, and respond with loving kindness. This Eclipse heralds a reboot, a renewal of the feeling field, to discover where we cut off or control the feeling frequencies of our Being and to open, allow, get truly in touch with this valuable aspect of our nature.

Cancer is the sign of belonging and intimacy. It calls us to be aware of our emotional connections, how we nurture them in a real way, i.e. beyond neediness, insecurity and co-dependency. It highlights what we may need to take greater care of within our self in order to receive and engage a deeply loving connection within relating. We're talking 'great loving mother' energy.... unconditional acceptance for our humanness with its sensitivities. Current events and experience reveal the focus for us as individuals.

Key eclipse question: What do you to deeply nurture in your self or in your closest relationships? What needs more loving acceptance and tenderness?

Good evening everyone, just hobbling past to replenish the teapot for everyone.

Violet how fascinating about the eclipse! You have given me some food for thought tonight , I have been feeling reflective anyway tonight, especially regarding continuing improving things for dd1 and helping her to embrace being herself rather than who she (and Dh) think she should be. I really should be dragging myself upstairs but I'm cosy here looking out at the moon with a cat on my lap and a cat on my shoulder and I'm content where I am for now, I probably will regret this tomorrow!

FitzsFool · 02/07/2019 21:36

Evening all

Violet thank you for sharing that, very interesting and very apt.

Loyaul the image of you covered in cats has made me smile this evening, I don't think you should move either.Smile

I've only just come in from the garden, where I've been grappling with the ground barefooted, barehanded and just plunging myself into the earth as I continue to develop the outdoor space around me. I've got that wonderful tingling burning sensation on my bared arms and legs and feet that you get when you've been outside uncovered in the gentle evening chill as the sun sets.

I'm feeling good and feeling very New Moonish this evening.

Of course I'm utterly filthy and covered in soil now.Grin

So I'm off to have a fragrant (I'm thinking lavender and peppermint oil) shower and cleanse literally and spiritually as the sun finishes setting.

Harking back to our earlier discussion about marking sabbats, I feel I'm marking this new moon effortlessly this month, actualising the intentions in my actions before I've even really considered them consciously. Really following the current around me rather than trying to control the flow. Other months not so much.

I guess I'm a haphazard witch....

New moon blessings to you all sisters.x

Loyaultemelie · 02/07/2019 22:33

Good evening all!

I'm back in my spot complete with lap cat, shoulder cat is now snoring on the far side of the sofa. Fitz we have had very similar evenings! I too was outside barefoot enjoying the energy although I have had to enlist help to do the actual gardening as I'm still out of action. Luckily the 17 year old ds of a fellow ice skating mum has a love of gardening so Dh is relieved to let him crack on with it so he can work. He has got the rockery all cleared for dds to make the long awaited fairy garden this week and started a totally new one at the far end for me so I have been planning some new bushes flowers and herbs for that while dd2 followed him around all evening. I wonder how long it will take dd1 and Dh to notice once it's all finished!

New moon blessings to you all 💫

hi everyone
sorry I've not been around for ages. Hope everyone is doing well.

I am feeling completely stuck, like stagnant energy, having to wait on various things to make important decisions etc etc. I read something about the 2 eclipses and how a lot of people are feeling stuck at the moment. Anyone else feeling similar?

queenrollo · 03/07/2019 21:09

Evening all.
I've been at Glastonbury Festival and had a marvellous time.
I returned home and felt inspired to get out in the garden and really reconnect with parts of it I had neglected.

Just catching up on the thread x

VioletCharlotte · 04/07/2019 08:38

Morning everyone. I'm working from home today so enjoying a slower start to the morning than usual 😊

This week's been challenging. I have a colleague who works from my office every other week. She operates at a high-stress level the majority of the time - always rushing, everything's a drama, last-minute, etc. She's actually really nice, but her energy drains me! I need to find a way of protecting myself when I'm around her. I'm focusing on self-care, lots of yoga and meditation.

Rosa lovely to see you, and sorry you're feeling stuck. I've not felt this, but I have found myself finding pretty much everyone irritating this week and wanting to be by myself. There's a lot going on at the moment, the solar eclipse, the new moon and we're moving towards the mercury retrograde, so it's unsurprising we're feeling a bit odd. I think all you can do is keep putting out to the universe that you would like to see conclusions to the situations you describe.

SalemSpellman · 04/07/2019 11:38

@VioletCharlotte I think the old mirror in your bra magic will protect you from your colleagues energy. Have you considered sewing a couple of sequins onto your clothes or something attached to you work station? You can sew them with the intention of reflecting her negative ways from you.

I'm starting a new job on Monday, my day will be full of batch cooking to make life easier for the family. Any ideas on how I can set good intentions for my new job? Is there anything I can sneak into work with me?

VioletCharlotte · 04/07/2019 13:28

Thank you Salem I may give that a try!

Great news about your new job. Will you have your own desk, or will you be hot deskjng? If you have your own desk, try and make the space your own. A plant always makes a big difference I think. And the odd, subtlety positioned crystal never does any harm!

Maybe before you start, if you get the chance for some quiet time to yourself, you could light a candle and write down all the things you'd like this new job to bring, and ask the universe to make it happen? When I've done this, I normally bury the paper in the back garden. I know some people like to put it on their altar.

Sending you positivity and good luck for Monday 🍀💫

RosaWaiting · 04/07/2019 13:39

Ooh not heard of the bra thing!

Violet, yes I think all I can do is that, and be patient.

Salem, congratulations on the new job Flowers

BlankTimes · 04/07/2019 20:21

Violet, all the reflective things are good for deflecting, glitter hairspray, sparkly fabrics, diamante jewellery, be as bling as you like ! Smile at her and 'see' the light reflecting off your teeth ;-)

VioletCharlotte · 04/07/2019 21:04

Thanks Blanktimes I'm not really a blingy person 😂 I'm think I'll need to come up with something a bit more subtle.

BlankTimes · 04/07/2019 21:16

Hi Violet, just pop the chosen reflectives in your pocket(s) if you don't want them to be visible, they'll still work.Halloween Grin

Loyaultemelie · 05/07/2019 09:14

Good morning everyone.

Violet the mirrors in the bra has worked for me before too.

Salem congratulations on the new job I wish you well.

The last couple of days have been like a comedy of errors where everything that could go wrong has, both in business and at home. The fairy garden started so well freshly weeded then we had bark in the wrong place and dds carefully chosen decorations either wrong or broken. We did make a start though and will do more today. When the corrected bits come we will plant some wildflower seeds (I have those!)
Then she wanted her hair coloured pink. She's young but I don't mind as long as it washes out. Asked our hairdresser who recommended one and it just didn't take (my fault apparently!) so got another one did take but I'm still the worst in the world.

I think today needs to be a self care day for us all and some negative energy cleansing. Wishing you all a lovely day

SalemSpellman · 05/07/2019 09:21

Thank you ladies! @VioletCharlotte an excellent suggestion of taking a plant to work, I'll ask my gran if she can give me one from her garden. I feel like having something of my gran's will offer me some protection.

@Loyaultemelie I love the sound of your fairy garden, I plan to make one once we have our garden sorted.

Today i will be doing some laundry magic and indulging in a last day of freedom treat at my favourite tearoom. What is everyone else up to?

My office is full of plants - I love them, I place crystals on top of the soil - people don't notice them and it's a lovely way to cleanse/charge them too. They do have a protective energy - I notice that people seem calmer when they come into in my office, and I'm sure it's partly the plants working to calm and 'soften' things.

Today in the early evening I will head to the beach to bury my feet in the sand, drink a cup of tea and take a proper breath. I will pick up a few shells for my spell jar while I'm there. It's been a really challenging week with people treading all over my boundaries. I could do with a mirror in the bra myself, although I need to find one that's small enough! Blush

Does anyone have anything exciting planned for the weekend?

speakout · 06/07/2019 05:57

Good morning from sun soaked Greece. I need to catch up with the thread, but wanted to bring you all some warmth . Cockerela and cows woke me up ths morning.

Good morning everyone,
Speakout I adore Greece so much history, soak up some sun for me please and enjoy!

Today is some laundry magic and attempt to haul myself gardenwards if the sun stays out later. Meadow yes my mirror is rather tiny Blush
What's everyone else up to?

VioletCharlotte · 06/07/2019 10:27

Good morning. I'm so relieved it's the weekend. Work has been exhausting this week. I went to candle lit yoga lasts night and very nearly dropped off. It was a nice way to round off a busy week though and feeling much better this morning. I'm sat in the garden with a coffee and catching up on the thread.

Speakout lovely to hear from you. Hope you're having a lovely holiday and well deserved break 🌞

Meadowlight hope you enjoyed the beach, your week sounds a bit like mine!

I'm off to a uni open day this afternoon with DS1. He's considering going back this year and switching to a different course. He left last year at the end of the first term. I think 6 months of working full time has made him realise he might be better off in eduction!
