Or Wiccans. or Pagans? Or anyone who is interested in a magical path or feels some magical stirrings.

A place for support, learning, swapping ideas and magical inspiration.

It’s lovely to feel your bright energy here Violet, always good to hear about the interesting groups you attend and people you meet.

I’ll second that about animal photos, always a joy to see! 😻

Elphame · 30/05/2019 16:06

Animal pictures are always good.

Pesky neighbour is being pesky again. However last round went to us.

I was thinking last night that a witches ladder might be a good addition to my garden - hopeful freak him out a bit as well as the magical side. On the synchronicity side I found several black feathers when walking the dog this morning Wink

speakout · 30/05/2019 16:54

VioletCharlotte thank you for bringing the light energy of your spirit group to this thread, it is a lovely gift you share. I love hearing about theses groups too.

Elphame sorry your neighbours are being troublesome again. A witch's ladder sounds a great idea, maybe you could incorporate the feathers into the cord if you feel that is appropriate. Answrers are there all around aren;t they.

It has been a very wet day here, raining heavily all day, the foliage outside is the most intense green, every shade imaginable, it is like living in a rainforest. As I sit having my late afternoon tea with my windows the only noises I can hear are birdsong and my familiar purring as he kneads his blankie beside me,

Precious moments!

Elphame sorry to hear about your neighbour, what a pest he is! I saw this meme and thought of you 🧙‍♀️

Hey everyone! Feels like an age since I've been able to post. Still have very little time to contribute but wanted to fly in to say hello.

Yashmin I always knew were special but reading your posts from a distance your innate beauty and gentleness really comes over so strongly. What a beautiful spirit you are!

I have had so little time and space, but have continued to practice. Sigils, bay leaves (I love that burning smell) candles and my meditations are seeing me through this busy time.

VioletCharlotte.. Love that image you posted.

Elphame so sorry you're still enduring negativity.

Finally, hello to all the new posters. So lovely to read such interesting topics.

Hope to speak with you all soon.

Blessings

Loyaultemelie · 30/05/2019 19:33

Hello all, really glad to come and perch by the aga with you all!

Following on from the forest conversations it's interesting you mention Dartmoor yashmis, the only time I have ever felt truly crippling fear was in a place on Dartmoor which had a sort of garden with a tunnel underneath it and that tunnel literally paralysed me for a moment, my lovely Nanny felt the same and we both refused point blank to go any further, the rest of the extended family all went through with no effects whatsoever. I can never find out where that was though, DM can't recall.

Starstruck your archangel cards sound interesting!

Blank what beautiful photos, the light is spellbinding.

Gee great to see you again and I'm glad things are looking up.

Elphame a witches ladder sounds like an excellent idea!

The last few days have been a period of reflection and some development work for me, I have done a lot of cleansing and redone my altar and spent a lot of time with my BOS much to the delight of my boycat who seems to always lie on me when doing this. This has helped to refocus and ground me a bit during intensive physio on this dreaded knee.

VioletCharlotte · 30/05/2019 22:06

So1kere great to see you! So pleased to hear you're well and glad you're finding time for some witchy magic 💫

It's lovely that so many old friends have come back to rejoin us around the fire over the last couple of days. And lots of new people too 😊

Starsabove1 · 30/05/2019 23:52

Elphame, sorry you are having neighbour issues. A witch ladder sounds ideal!

Can I ask you about your feathers and how you read them as signs? For the last couple of years I have noticed more and more feathers. It’s now a running joke with friends that wherever I am there will be feathers - on the ground, on my clothes, floating by on the air, and one time blowing directly into my mouth and almost choking me! I tried not to take that personally! I think I have ‘my’ code figured out now but it would be interesting to hear what your interpretations are.

YashmisCrone · 31/05/2019 00:14

The end of another long day here, another few busy days ahead. I do feel put out these days when my precious weekends are encroached upon people! Nothing too taxing, I just increasingly seem to need my space these days!

Elphame well, that sounds like a clear sign of your witches ladder idea being a good one! Love the synchronicity.

Violet I love that picture! I’ve had cause to embody similar energy this week.

So1kere so good to see you- I was thinking about you yesterday, wondering how you were getting on. glad to hear you’re able to keep up with some practices that bring some magic to your busy time. Thank you so much for your kind words, I was really touched to read them.

Loyaultemelie wow, that does sound scary- I’ve been trying to think where that is. I’m seeing some family at the weekend who might know, I’ll ask. Good to hear of your time of reflection and development. I hope the physio goes some way to easing your knee in the end x

YashmisCrone · 31/05/2019 00:19

Stars it depends on the context for me, like you, it’s my own kind of code. I usually take them as a comforting sign of support but sometimes it’ll be significant what type of feather it is- which bird, colour etc. I know many view them as messages from loved ones no longer with us in body.

speakout · 31/05/2019 06:32

Good morning.

I slept the sleep of the goddess last night.

So1kere so good to see yuou again. I understand when time is busy keeping up practice is hard, but often the times we need it most. Sounds like you have worked out quick easy ways of having magical support during hectic times. I love burning bay too.
YashmisCrone I hope you have time to nurture yourself too this weekend.
When we are pushed for time or spread thin then having a few quick "go to" magical practices become so important- it would be interesting to hear what others do too. For me it becomes a mindset of " everyday magic".
It's lovely to have the time to spellcast or take time with complex tarot work, but often we barely have time to have a quick shower and a cuppa before we have to fly off somewhere.
For me it's my "spa shower", I keep a few oils in the bathroom, I have a selection of crystal and other pendants I wear depending on what energy I need, sometimes I will wear one inder my clothing, or tuck a crystal in my bra. I say a blessing over tea, I like to touch a flower, or just work with the breath for a few moments.
I often mutter!! A quick incantation or a thanks. I like to work with a candle or incense nearby, music or chanting to listen to, or simply the window open to feel the breath of the breeze. I speak aloud in t
the car frequently, it's a great private place even in busy traffic.

Today I am up early to go to my yoga class, so have to leave soon.

I woke up feeling peaceful and was so delighted to see sucha misty morning, how beautiful everything is when shrouded in such a fine cloak of lace. So thick from a distance, yet when we are close to it disappears altogether. Has such a magical ability of being thick and concealing yet invisible at the same time.
Never fails to delight me- but I am easily pleased by such simple things!

Have a magical day everyone.

YashmisCrone · 31/05/2019 08:18

Good morning,
Thank you speakout, it’s good to hear you’re well rested. yes I think I’ll need these small practices the next few days. I’m so used to recharging through my time alone I have to admit I get a little twitchy at the thought of the next few work and people filled days!

I like to grab moments where I can, focus on my breath, a crystal in my bra, use essential oils and do a fair bit of muttering too! Also protection -visualising a protective light around me or when necessary a suit of armour! It makes a satisfying ping in my mind as nuggets of unwanted energy bounce of it!

Hope everyone has a magical day 💫

Elphame · 31/05/2019 10:08

@Starsabove1 I may not be the best one to ask here as I'm not a believer that feathers are always a message or omen. I'm semi rural and there are feathers everywhere.

Birds moult and we're just at the start of the moulting season so over the next few months there will be feathers everywhere. It really depends on the context for me. If I was to find a jackdaw feather on my front doorstep I'd disregard anything woo about it because I have them nesting in my chimneys. if it was from a bird that shouldn't be around here then I'd take note! The black feathers I mentioned above are always around but I wouldn't normally notice them. I probably did this time because the witches ladder was on my mind.

However I've been getting nudges from Blodeuedd for the last few months and found barn owl feathers for the very first time. That to me may have some significance.

@Loyaultemelie I remember a very bad nights sleep when wild camping on Dartmoor many years ago. It was Samhain and we'd been doing some necromantic work. It was a wet windy night, pitch black and we were about an hour's walk at least from any form of civilisation. There was no safe way out so we were there til daylight, like it or not. It's hard to sleep when there is a gigantic spectral dog sniffing around outside the tent all night!

VioletCharlotte · 31/05/2019 10:25

Good morning.

So much lovely energy in here today. Speakout I love the way you have described the mist, I can really picture it.

Yashmis I smiled at you being put out by your weekend being taken up by people. I know this feeling well! When you're busy at work, weekends are really precious aren't they?

I also do my best carve out some time for a bit of magic every day. It's the little things - a shower with aromatherapy oils, watching the sunrise, stopping to wonder at nature, looking at the moon - these all make such a big difference.

Blessings for a happy Friday 🙏

Just for fun, I thought I'd share this 'could you be a witch?' test I found on Facebook.I scored 29 out of 32 😀

That music was just what I needed today speakout- thank you. Just completed a big piece of work with it feeding me the spark I needed.

Look forward to doing the fun quiz later!

Elphame

I am with you on the feathers- living in the woods there are feathers everywhere, in my garden they fly into the house, on my driveway.
It would be an unusual day npt to find a dozen feathers in my garden, so hard to attach any significance to them.

Glad you liked the music YashmisCrone

Elphame · 31/05/2019 16:53

I scored 32/35

I did disagree with some of the answers - for example the importance of dreams. Yes it's part of many but certainly not all but I was marked wrong

speakout · 01/06/2019 06:39

Good morning wise sisters.
I have woken up to bright sunshine, it's so lovely to see blue skies after days of rain.
My washing machine is already running so I can make some laundry magic this morning.

I drop off DD at the railway station for 8am, then I will head to the Range for some craft materials. I look forward to having a nice little dander around! Thay have such a good range of materials, feathers, parchment.
I also have a huge consignment of Aphrodite Love candles to make today so that will take a few hours.

Lots of magic to weave today!

A candle for love burning at the feet of my Sycamore Sisters.

A reminder to everyone that loves starts with self care.
We are taught as women that self love is selfish. Nothing could be further from the truth. Loving ourselves allows us to love others more freely, more deeply. Treat yourself gently.

Such wonderful energy and a beautiful candle speakout I can feel the goddess strength and that of the sycamore sister. Such wise words too. Thank you 💖🙏

Hi

First time poster here, very early in my journey, although it feels like I'm pulling together lots of previously unconnected threads from earlier in life.

When I first stumbled upon this wonderful community - thank you so much speakout for starting it - it really got me thinking. I started by generally trying to be more aware and noticing synchronicity. I spent more time in nature and was very drawn to a local wooded field.

Ancestors have long been an interest, then I discovered via an old census that an ancestor (not local for most of her life) worked on the farm this field was originally part of.

I was plucking up courage to delurk, having got about halfway through previous threads, then found this stone on the entrance gate to 'my' field this morning. So here I am Smile

VioletCharlotte · 01/06/2019 13:06

Hello all, and a warm welcome to you beehivemind 😊** Great to have you with us. That stone is fab, I love how the universe finds a way of telling us what we need to know.

Something similar happened to me earlier. I was feeling a bit low this morning. I did some work last night that didn't go as well as I'd hoped and woke up full of self-doubt. For some reason, I decided to do my shopping at a different supermarket to normal and bumped into two people I know. We had a totally random conversation about how everyone's journey is unique, and not feeling intimated by others (in the fruit and veg aisle!) It was exactly what I needed to hear at the time. Funny how these things go.

Speakout that candle is beautiful, I love the colour. Is it one of your own creations? And such beautiful words 🙏

Elphame · 01/06/2019 13:14

Hello beehivemind and welcome.

Just planning on what to do today - the dog has had his morning walk in the shadiest woodland I know of locally and has flaked.

I have a feeling gardening is on the agenda. Time to move all my over wintering tender plants from windowsills to the steps. They'll be a lot happier and I hope will give me some early flowers :)
