Or Wiccans. or Pagans? Or anyone who is interested in a magical path or feels some magical stirrings.

A place for support, learning, swapping ideas and magical inspiration.

@StarStruckStarGazer I would love to 😊 I'm out at yoga tonight but will read for you later this week. I'm so pleased you've found this thread helpful, it's such a special place.

Frosty lovely to see you. No advice on online crystal shops, but I'm sure someone will be able to recommend somewhere.

TooManyPaws · 27/05/2019 20:49

@Elphame There are just some places that have that awful feeling, aren't there? Similar to the Savernake stories, I've heard some things about Saddleworth Moor, from even before the murders. According to people who have worked up on the moor, it has a very particular life force of its own and I believe that there were old stories that it was one of those places which demanded a death every so often.

chuckyeggtimestwo · 27/05/2019 20:53

violetcharlotte - i would love you to turn the cards for me if you have time.

VioletCharlotte · 27/05/2019 21:05

Toomanypaws my feeling is that places like Saddleworth Moor hold on to the energy of the awful things that happened there. I regularly drive past Broadmoor when I visit one of our sites at work. You can feel the energy change as you drive down the road, even though the building can't be seen from the road, you can sense the negative energy coming from within.

VioletCharlotte · 27/05/2019 21:06

Chuckyegg no problem. I'll pm you in the week 🙏

speakout · 27/05/2019 21:07

These spooky forest tales ae terrifying, I have felt similar spirit of place, great sadness and wretchedness associated with areas, the sites of the witch burnings and execurtions in my city, mass graves of plague victims. but nothing that scared me. I think sometimes there are energies that need to be listened to. If I do hear them I accept and acknowledge, or say a few words of comfort.

Thankyou violetcharlotte, i appreciate that.

Hi all, I had a brief catch up and read the thread yesterday evening, and saw Savernake being mentioned (I remember reading the creepy story about it ages ago too!).

I had to post this...decided to go there today with my parents and kids, and there is definitely something about the atmosphere there.... I didn't find it to be frightening or oppressive but maybe a little tense.... not as 'happy' as I find Avebury to be for example. But then I see so many people say the atmosphere at Glastonbury is bad for them and I only ever feel good when I'm there.

I felt completely drained this afternoon when I got home, headache and tired. Took some tablets and the feeling disappeared more quickly that I expected it to. But I wondered if it was something about the energy there. Or is it my preconceptions about the place because of the things I have read and the knowledge of horrible things that have happened in that forest?

Giggorata · 27/05/2019 22:44

I found it to be a very “watchful” forest... but I wasn't worried about being there.

YashmisCrone · 27/05/2019 23:34

Really interested if slightly spooked by the tales of unnerving places. My dad knew Dartmoor well and would enjoy retelling the varying ghost stories and folklore of the place when we visited on holiday. I grew up terrified of the area!

Like many others here I do feel the energy of places- indeed I agree Dartmoor has it’s more foreboding areas. Certainly elicits respect for the spirit of the place.

Interestingly I’ve found the sense of fear I’ve got from certain buildings much more scary at times. I was particularly unsettled in my first flat. It never felt right. I later found out that an infamous murderer had previously lived in the building. The energy he left behind was tangible.

BlankTimes · 28/05/2019 01:21

Flying in ...

Frostyapples save your money until you can have a look at some crystal jewellery in person. two items made from the same type of stone do not have the same 'feel' and 'feel' is more important than visual appeal when it comes to crystals , at least it is for me.

Are any of these venues near you?

I've bought from some of their stallholders over several years, most seem very knowledgeable and the prices are mostly reasonable. Look around carefully before you buy.

Good morning wise ones.

A cool calm and rainy day here , yesterday was a day of release for me in many ways, and ended on a better note than it started.
This thead and you women are such a source of energy and support.
I can feel it women into the words.

I am listening to Loreena McKennit gearing myself up to work.
She is a nice "fix" of female energy and an eclectic mixture of energies- I know some of you already listen to her.

I hope you all have a good day,

Good morning,

Cooler here today too. It was wonderful to have rain overnight- my outdoor plants are jewelled with raindrops glistening in the sun. I have a busy week ahead and I’m savouring this moment.

speakout it’s wonderful to hear of your release and that your day ended on a better note. Your spirit shines bright throughout and our collective energy is always there to draw on when needed. It’s a great source of support to me too.

Thank you for the link, I’ll listen now while I’m still at home. I love the recommendations shared here.

I listened to this yesterday- thinking about bees and their connection to sacred female energy. Interesting stuff I thought

I hope everyone has some magic in their day 💫

That is lovely, although the previous picture was meaningful too!

And thanks for the podcast, I like to listen to inspiring words or music while I work. X

Good morning sisters. I'm taking a break from work and dropping in for a coffee and a breather. Thank you for sharing those links Speakout and Yashmis. I like to have things to listen to in the car, so will look forward to playing those on my journey home.

I agree Yashmis that the rain was welcome. I live listening to it while I'm laying in the bed, I find it really soothing.

Starstruck thank you for sharing your stories, so interesting. My belief is that 'haunting' is carried out by spirits of those who have passed, but have not moved on to the spirit world for some reason. In the groups I belong to, when we encounter someone like this, we call it a 'rescue'. The spirit believes that they are not worthy of moving on, because of guilt or something they did on the earth plane. Our role, as light workers, is to help them move on. I know some people who do 'house clearances'. It's not something Is like to do, but I've heard some interesting stories!

Can you post a photo of the blue light?

SSSG pointing digicams into the sun or at a lightsource gives all sort of odd light effects, three of mine attached.

I've also had lots of similar effects, sometimes like an arc or halo if a piece of jewellery has caught a lightsource. I can't edit dd's face out of one so won't post it, but it's quite spectacular.

Please don't be too eager to think something's 'spiritual' or 'otherworldly' especially when it shows up on a digital image.

'Orbs' are a common phenomenon, but only appear on digital images.

Good afternoon, a busy day but a good one. House is tidy ( unusually) while I take a break before dinner prep and some paperwork.

I listened to the podcast that YashmisCrone posted and my head has been buzzing all afternoon with thoughts of bees and the goddess.
After a rainy but beautiful morning the sun has come out, along with the bees who are busy at a patch of foxgloves outside my window. How exquisite these flowers are, just divine in their energy and elegance.
One of the things I most love about being a crone, or a hag, I don't mind which is the way in which simple things move me.
I can't remember feeling so profoundly wonderstruck by nature decades ago.
I have always loved nature and gardening, even as a child, but they can keep their fancy cars or designer handbags, my pleasure is often found in the wonder of a plant that some people may pull up as a weed.
And I feel richer for that, because that majesty is everywhere.

I will light a candle this afternoon to honour the goddess in all her manifestations.

@BlankTimes Thank you for your honesty Thanks

Elphame · 28/05/2019 17:24

Orbs are funny things. They are certainly caused by dust or water droplets in the air and this explains most of them.

I have one caught on camera though that I can't explain. It was a shot of Belas Knap ( a long barrow). For some reason I took half a dozen shots of one chamber in quick succession, Literally click, click, click etc. About a 10 second time frame. One of the shots has an orb in it. The shot before and after doesn't. It might be a rogue dust particle but I really don't know!

StarStruckStarGazer

Your Archangel cards sound interesting- are they the Doreen Virtue ones?

I only use Tarot , but have been considering buying myself some oracle cards. I was looking at the Goddess Power Oracle cards, I would love to hear of any other recommendations.
