speakout -- that was my experience too.

1potato · 04/03/2019 15:23

Following the rue conversation with interest. I am pregnant so also happy to hear the warning.

If anyone has any remedies or advice for extreme morning sickness, please do share.

We seem to have the edge of the storm up here, with bright sunshine to soften it.

speakout · 04/03/2019 16:08

The new moon today is bringing me blessings, and I am happy to share some of my positive energy with anyone who needs it today.

Bright blessings sisters.

Hobbling over to the aga this evening as this unsettling weather has unbalanced me. This morning I fell flat in my face in town and bruised my elbow and stubbed my toe.

This calls for a nice bath full of Epsom salts!

HillsBesideTheSea · 04/03/2019 17:51

1pototo I went with peppermints to suck and took the meds from the docs after my 3 hospital trip due to sickness. Sorry it is miserable I know. Hope it passes soon for you.

Sockportal hope you are ok

BelladonnaKebab · 04/03/2019 18:11

Oh @sockportal I hope your alright!

sockportal · 04/03/2019 18:19

Thank you @HillsBesideTheSea and @BelladonnaKebab, I'm ok, just a bit stiff and bruised. I'm sure a bath will help, I will take suggestions on a suitable essential oil to put in to help me? I'm thinking lavender?

speakout · 04/03/2019 18:20

sockportal

You poor thing, I hope you are OK, do you have any arnica?

OP posts:
Elphame · 04/03/2019 18:33

@Lapetus - ask me once I've done it! It involves tincturing herbs, burning the residue and recombining them all under the influence of the appropriate planet...

As for witchy fora, they are all pretty awful. I started my own FB group in the end.

Rue is a funny one. I grow Ruta graveolens in my herb garden. I use it in incense mostly. It's not one I would want to eat or consume in any way and it's one of the 3 herbs I grow that I handle with gloves (the others are monkshood and comfrey).

1pototo I lived on ginger biscuits for a while. Pregnancy sickness is miserable.

Ouch sockportal that sounds painful.

Still in North Wales here. Freya was a bit of a non event. We had a few hours of wind and rain but I've seen plenty worse. The tops of the mountains are snowy though which looks lovely.

Sadly I have to be back in Bristol tomorrow for a ritual I agreed to take part in so it's going to be tight for time. I may need to call on Fotamecus! (www.chaosmatrix.org/library/chaos/texts/fotamec1.html)

1potato · 04/03/2019 18:37

@hillbesidetheaea peppermints are a good idea. I'll give them a try. Thanks for the suggestion and warm wishes. I haven't been to hospital yet but I'm on meds and more of less housebound.

@sockportal I often bathe with crystals and find them rejuvenating. You may want to try rosemary for those muscles.

HillsBesideTheSea · 04/03/2019 22:21

Witch hazel compress or tiger balm for soothing bruises taking the appropriate precautions with open/broken skin. Is something else you might like to try. sockportal

Camamile tea is on for those who need it.

YashmisCrone · 04/03/2019 23:08

Lovely, camomile’s perfect Hills Brew hope you’re feeling a bit better.

Heavy day here, just winding down. I found camomile tea helpful, along with many ginger biscuits for ‘morning’ sickness, although I didn’t have it as bad as some of you. Hope it eases a bit soon 1potato

Ouch sockportal that must have hurt. Hope the bath eased it a bit. I think lavender sounds very soothing. I had a friend who swore by a lavender bath after childbirth to aid healing. Like speakout I find arnica works well for bruising.

Elphame I loved that link about the sigil. Thank you for sharing it. An incredible concept that makes makes me want to learn more.

speakout thank you for sharing your blessed energy. It feels lovely Smile

love to all x

Mistymount · 05/03/2019 02:09

Hope you are all safe and sound after the UK storms. I’m just catching up after a couple of days lost to a migraine. I've spent the morning tidying up after DH & DSs and tending to my plants. The frangipani is flowering again - just beautiful.

I’ve got yarrow growing in a pot on my deck - actually, everything is in pots until we move. It is too small to harvest any for tea yet methinks. I also have rue, but I got it more for the insect repellent properties. Some believe it works on snakes too – I’ve only seen one here, so who knows?

Saturday’s social things weren’t too bad – thank you for your positive wishes. A visit from some flying foxes swooping through the evening sky made the evening social much more enjoyable.

Sockportal - that sounds painful. Another vote here for arnica for bruises.

1potato – I drank ginger tea and always had ginger biscuits in bag when I was pregnant. I hope that it passes very soon for you.

Elphame Your course sounds fascinating but very complex. I’m sure that you will get a great deal from it. Enjoy!

Thank you for the energy Speakout. I hope your day continues in a positive manner. I’m off to the physio about my back/hip issues shortly, so I’ll probably need a boost!

What a lovely place you live. The flying foxes sound delightful. I met some in the Seychelles, they would fly in and were tame enough to allow us to feed them chopped mango from a spoon. Beauitiful animals.

Good morning everyone.

I have had such a peaceful sleep, and feeling very refreshed this morning.
It's a dull, drizzly day here, but so beautiful in it's own way. Still, soft, a gentle rain, perfect for nurturing the new life that is emerging from the ground.
I have already made a batch of candles this morning and made some incense, ( I keep a coffee grinder especially for that purpose)
Although I am not a huge gardener ( and a fairweather one at that) I find such a strong urge to plant at this time of year.
And although I don't have any grand plans, I can feel quite overtaken by the need to get my hands in the soil, to plant seeds, to put things in pots. It's as if the muse takes over- I really don't have to give it much thought.
I have a small garden, and previous occupants were not gardeners at all, so it is "tidy". I have a strong urge to tear up a small patch of lawn outside the back of my house and plant it with foxgloves and wild flowers, maybe some herbs. The decision will be out of my hands- I just have to follow!!

Good morning all I hope you are well! Oh no Sockportal I hope you are ok?

VioletCharlotte · 05/03/2019 09:26

Morning, just catching up on all the posts from yesterday. I had a busy day yesterday, clearing out DS2's bedroom and painting it. It's already looking so much better, it was a typical teen boy pit!

Doing this has made me feel better too. My energy's been all over the place the last few days, so just being at home and spending time clearing, cleaning and making things look bright again has helped to ground me. I'm feeling more settled now and slept much better last night.

Speakout I get an urge to plant things this type of year too. I want to get a lavender bush for my front garden.

Sockportal sorry to hear about your injury. Get plenty of rest and hope you feel better soon.
*
Loyaul* hope you're all better now. I know what you mean about hospitals. I always end up ill after I visit one.

1potato · 05/03/2019 10:21

Thanks for all the well wishes.

I agree about gardening. Seeds and soil do just call out at this time of year.

sockportal · 05/03/2019 13:05

Thank you all for your well wishes, I genuinely touched and fell blessed for all your kind words. I'm much better today, I do have a new found sympathy for my daughter, I understand why she cries when she falls over it certainly brought tears to my eyes!

Anyone else feeling a bit "off" today? My whole team at work say they feel discombobulated(excellent word) today.

VioletCharlotte · 05/03/2019 13:46

Sockportal discombobulated is a great word! It sums up how I've been feeling the last few days. I believe it's because we're in the shadow of Mercury retrograde and the energy shift is making us all feel twitchy. I don't suffer from anxiety, but Sunday night I had the most awful sense of foreboding and was convinced something awful was about to happen.

queenrollo · 05/03/2019 15:24

Yesterday was a trip to London and back for a follow up appt for my son.
Today I am feeling reconnected to home. I did a three card spread yesterday and it was definitely a nudge to immerse myself in the journey.

I am wearing my quartz/tigers eye pendant which I use only during mercury retrograde. I am being incredibly mindful to not get overwhelmed and bogged down in negativity if things go wrong.
Tomorrow my husband is out to work and it will be the first time in 4 weeks that I will be alone in the house for a stretch of time more than 20 mins. I am really looking forward to it!

Elphame · 05/03/2019 17:03

Not so sure I'm discombobulated but I think I may be about to meet myself coming back!

Phone has been pinging with "issues" for me since 7.30 this morning. I've created umpteen events for people on a FB group, sorted out cottage payments and I have still to start any preparation for tonight's ritual! And the weather is going to be awful :(

At least it was a fast run from North Wales to Bristol!

BartonHollow · 05/03/2019 17:09

My head has been a bit "messy" of late. I am focussing on past things I can't change and not in a way that's useful

I did ponder about rift healing work for a bit yesterday but now I can't remember who the parties were I was thinking of

Heads a puddle

sockportal · 05/03/2019 17:36

@VioletCharlotte I don't know anything about Mercury retrograde, how long does it go on for?
