Oh BlankTimes you've sent me down a wormhole with that concept of 'thin places'! It's like finally finding words for an experience that I've previously struggled to articulate.

It seems to be that the essence of this path is not necessarily gaining new knowledge as such, but more finding words and expression for something that you've known, deep down, all along.

SalemSpellman · 18/04/2019 19:56

Ohhh thank you @BlankTimes, I've now discovered two interesting places within 3 miles from my house. I'm looking forward to going to find them!

RosaWaiting · 18/04/2019 20:46

I've been feeling really low all day

I just spoke to my mum and she said that she woke up feeling really low too. We were both fine yesterday. Anyone else have this?

VioletCharlotte · 18/04/2019 21:04

Fitz what you said this thread helping to find words to describe something you've always known deep down is so true. I feel exactly the same.

I'm sat in my garden bathing in the full moon's beautiful energy. My local council have recently started switching all the street lamps off between 1-4am, so planning to get up and come out again then. Everyone is complaining about it, but I love it as I can see the moon and stars so much clearer when its really dark.

Super wee resource there Blanktimes Wink

speakout · 18/04/2019 21:57

I am lying here in bed watching the full moon as she drifts through the trees outside my bedroom window. She is beautiful.
I feel a little trepidation as I know this full moon may mean some massive changes, . But it is good to know of the power, and I will guard my words in the coming days to make sure that the necessary changes don't come with discord.

And the moon actually looks pink!

It is a lovely looking moon tonight!

Struggling with the sudden swing to heat. My body has gone on strike and I have heat stroke. Yay for temperature jumps. Going to hoik the nettle tea out the cupboard as that usually helps. For anyone interested I use a commerical peppermint and nettle tea and it has enough of an effect whilst being pleasent enough in taste. I have heard a brew of pure nettle can be like drinking mud so have yet to try it pure from dried herb.

violet I wish our local council would switch the lights off.

YashmisCrone · 18/04/2019 22:50

I love the feeling of us all soaking up the energy of the moon Smile

Violet that picture is fab- very powerful, (and I love the thought of you out in the garden appreciating the moon) thank you 🙏

I’ve felt a bit unsettled today Rosa, I do think a lot of us feel this way around the time of a full moon.

Wise thoughts about watching words over the next few days speakout, I think I’d do well to do the same!

I’m smiling about the thread- shared discovery of ancient places near our homes- I often seem to find myself lost in a BlankTimes inspired wormhole these days Grin

I agree with you about the articulation and (re)discovery of the thread Fitz- I feel like this also leads to synchronicities and further learning. Violet got me thinking today about intuition and being in tune like we were as children, later on I saw this on Facebook which summed up where my thoughts ended up beautifully

www.facebook.com/303946969950697/posts/837735563238499?sfns=mo

I also read this today which I thought was interesting. It added further food for thought for me to the recent theme around Liminal places we’ve had here on the thread.
There don’t seem to be enough hours in the day for all the learning I want to do!

The day looks bright and lovely. And I am about to head out into the sunlight.

Wise words about the next few days. Already had one animated discussion here. Hmm Hopefully we have resolved this but I suspect not. In this house Easter has to be just so. With lots of Christian symbolism. It can be difficult.

I have found some time to myself. I had to run some errands which took me out into the hills. I am longing to be out rambling, but I know from previous experience that this weekend is not the weekend for it. Too many tourists enjoying the hills. Which makes it less enjoyable for me. I need to investigate some less well know walking routes at some point.

I have also discovered somewhere I can learn natural dying. Which utterly fascinates me. The opportunity for a large garden where I can grow dye plants is on my wish list. Would have to be large as I also wish for a veg plot, fruit plot, medicinal herb plot... Blush

I am on hold with the tarot cards again. I was given redundancy this last month and there has been a lot of emotion here. I am have to put in applications for new work this weekend so new beginnings might be useful. Endings will happen next month. I was sad and stressed but I have finally accepted that this is an ending that needs to happen. And might be an opportunity for growth and development so trying to approach this change as a positive. If worse comes to worst I will have a little extra time on my hands for sorting out the house and to do list.

I have to confess I have avoided link clicking atm, I don't have time for rabbit holes but I know that they will be there to return to when I do. However, I want to thank all that are providing and sharing their knowledge and findings so freely and generously It is very much appreciated!

RosaWaiting · 19/04/2019 09:39

thanks again for this thread and the kind words

I didn't even see the moon! Unusually, I slept from 11 till 8 (I took a pill!)

The flat only faces one way so I have to be up past then - which I usually am - to see the moon. Oh well, never mind, I feel better today.

Always been fascinated by liminal places. I've never been to Glastonbury - it's on my list but I'm waiting for my sister to move closer to mum before I head off for a few days. I will definitely want to go at a quieter time as well.

or mum might come with me. As long as the word "witch" doesn't get mentioned, she finds all these things fascinating. I might show her the picture someone kindly posted above. She is normally very rational about things!

VioletCharlotte · 19/04/2019 10:06

Rosa glad you're feeling better today. It sounds like you were exhausted and in need of rest. Full moon energy sometimes makes me emotional, particularly if I'm already tired or feeling a bit low. I'm sure you'll enjoy Glastonbury when you do fo, the energy is really lovely and there's so many quirky things to look at. As someone said upthread, it's bette to go when it's quieter.

Hills I hope you manage to get some time to yourself over the weekend. Your home situation does sound a bit challenging. It's frustrating to have to bite your tongue in your own home.

Is a beautiful day here. I'm enjoying the peace and having a coffee. Teen DS are still asleep and will be for a while. They've both been busy this week and have been looking forward to a lie in. I'm going to a friends for lunch later, and an afternoon of crystals, tarot and spiritual chat, so looking forward to that.

Hope you all have a lovely day 😊❤️

RosaWaiting · 19/04/2019 10:54

Thank you Violet

I think the change in temp might have affected me - doesn't explain mum feeling so down though.

I've been posting in the DIY section about ways to make the madly insulated studio box a bit cooler - I think adjusting to that might have made me super tired.

all those living close to nature - enjoy! Smile

speakout · 19/04/2019 12:34

Lovely to hear of everyone's day here,.

Woke up feeling ill, sore throat and thumping headache, I had to cancel early morning yoga, so that was not good.
Just DS and I in the house, so I am pottering at a slow pace, doing some work, hanging laundry outside.
I keep having to have rests though as I ache all over.
I am enjoying the sunshine, I have all my windows open and the birdsong is in full orchestra.

I thought my mothers church would be observing Good Friday- but Eatster is not a big thing at her church, so only pagan symbolism in he house here!

speakout I hope you feel better soon.

I take allicin when I get those symptoms. I'm sure I've avoided a few full on lurgies that all the others got in the office, due to allicin. And obsessive handwashing Grin

do rest - viral infections are so tiring! Flowers

Thank you. I am sure I will be fine soon just having some home made tomato soup for lunch ( which has lots of garlic)

LittleOwl · 19/04/2019 15:41

Violet, enjoy your afternoon- sounds lovely!
Rosa, Glastonbury is amazing - very light energy, very rarified. Reminds me of the very western tip of Brittany.
Speak out - my the garlic help. Brew

Hills - every finger crossed that the beginnings will bring peace, joy and abundance into your life.

I have been gardening a little and now need to sleep. Good Friday is such a difficult day energy wise.

I'm terrible at keeping up with and posting on these threads, but my decision to really dig into my spirituality this year is really helping my mental health.
I confess to subscribing unashamedly to witch casket, so I get a parcel of witchy goodness each month.
I keep forgetting it's Easter, as it's so late this year, we already celebrated at the spring equinox, and I'm thinking ahead to Beltane.

Noooo!

speakout · 19/04/2019 16:07

Such a peaceful feel to this warm weather.

I am feeling a little better now, I took myself off for a walk around a local cemetery a church that dates back to the 11th century.

So many old ornate tombstones, the old church has seen a lot of turmoil and was an important centre of power during the burning times.
I gave a thought to all my sisters, no headstone, no mark for them.
But it felt good to connect with them, I let them know that I care.

Hi speakout
Glad to hear you're feeling a bit better.

I'm realllly late to the thread.... You're already almost the end of this one. I'm here just in time for the full moon on this very hot day, hope you don't mind me joining so late!

I haven't read the whole of this thread yet so I'm basically "placemarking" for now.

I'm looking forward to getting to know you all.

What a peaceful place. I very much hope you carry on over many more threads.
