@VioletCharlotte I'm late, I'm sorry. Hope all went well and you are now resting comfortably.

I'm reasonably sure Glastonbury will be open as usual. A lot of the shops open somewhat random hours anyway and some don't open til 10 or even 11am anyway.

Welcome GreenTeacup

SockPortal · 05/04/2019 20:29

I've been thinking of you @VioletCharlotte, I've lit a candle to send some warmth and positivity your way.

Have any of you read a book called "The Secret," my yoga teacher has recommended it to me, saying she feels that good times are ahead for me but I need to believe in the law of attraction to get what I want.

VioletCharlotte · 05/04/2019 21:24

Rosa, Elphame and Sock. Thank you so much ❤️ It was actually all completely fine. I've felt really calm all day, which I'm sure is a result of the loving energy from you all 🙏
It was an investigative procedure so I should get the results in a couple of weeks, but the surgeon said he didn't think there will be anything to worry about.

I'm relaxing on my sofa this evening with my dog and some chocolate. I have a nice weekend planned. You may remember I said a while back I'd been asked to do tarot readings at an event? Well tomorrow's the day! I was a little worried I wouldn't be feeling up to it and my energy would be all out, but I'm looking forward to it now, should be a nice day, and always good to be in the energy of other spiritual types 😊

Thank you too for the Glastonbury advice Elphame. I think we will go Good Friday, so long at the weather is ok.

Sock I started reading the Secret but didn't really get on with it. I know lots of people think it's great though, so would be interested to see what you think. I agree with your yoga teacher about the law of attraction. I'm a firm believer in what we put out, we get back.

Hope everyone's ok and feeling relaxed and ready for the weekend 💕

I am so glad I checked here today to read your message,
Good news to hear all went well. and that you are back home relaxing.
I have thought of you many times today.

Take it easy however, you have a demanding day tomorrow, I understand you have a relief that today is over but be kind to yourself.
This has been a stressful and energy demanding time for you.

You will be the best judge of your pace however,

I wish you a peaceful sleep. X

Violet

Best wishes for a speedy recovery.

VioletCharlotte · 05/04/2019 21:38

Speakout you're so perceptive! It would be exactly like me to race, around super busy all weekend, on a high of relief. Then Monday I'll come crashing down! I will take your wise words on board and take it easy ❤️

Thank you RomanyQueen xx

VioletCharlotte

Sounds just like me.

I totally push myself in such situations.
My DD was only 18 hours old when I was pushing a trolley around Tesco with her toddler brother, no other adults.
I have discharged myself from hospital following surgery because I didn't want to wait 6 hours until my lift was available.

It is understandable to feel relief, euphoria even following such events
but we need to take care of our energy.
You have expended a lot today, but even in he past week too, feeling ( understandably) anxious.

You will bounce back I am sure, but be kind to yourself.

Good morning sisters, I hope everyone had a restful night and VioletCharlotte are feeling well today.

It's the most beautiful morning here- dull, overcast, not a breath of wind.
Everything is so moist, I have been out feeding the birds, and that softest of rain- smirr - is falling.
Lighter than drizzle it is a deceptive type of rain , the kind you hardly notice but gets you thoroughly drenched.

Hello all. I got 11 hours sleep last night! I felt so, so tired about 8pm. So I went to bed. I dropped plans to go out and listened to my body instead.

I have a transition in my future. I am mulling over my best approach at the moment. I am favouring it being the natural conclusion to the situation though. I think this is my way forward, but I must do some serious preparation and investment in self to make it work for me.

Photo is my stray familiar. Sometimes he comes just for company rather than food. He appeared like this when I returned home having received the news about the forthcoming transition. I was stood by my Rayburn having a little cry and then he was there. I think he's telling me that I am going to be OK.

Blessings to all, especially those experiencing difficulties at the moment.

Speakout I'm feeling really calm and rested thank you. Having a coffee and getting ready for this afternoon's event. I loved your description of the rain, I can picture you feeding the birds in the drizzle.

What a beautiful cat Queenrollo. He looks very much at home. Glad you slept well and feeling rested.

speakout · 06/04/2019 12:25

Queenrollo

I am glad your feline friend was there to comfort you.

VioletCharlotte I am delighted to hear that you are feeling good today- have a great afternoon Tarot reading, how exciting- let us know how it goes!

I continues to be a quiet afternoon here, a light drizzle, peaceful outside. The house is quiet, I am working, drinking coffee, rose candle and chill music in the background.
OH has taken DD to a dance rehearsal ( she is dancing in a show tomorrow), mother is at launderette.
So gabbing some Zen while I can!

Good afternoon everyone,

@VioletCharlotte so glad to hear you are feeling better. I hope that your tarot event today goes well.

@queenrollo what a lovely cat. I still haven’t met my familiar although I have noticed butterflies attempting to get in at the windows when I have a big decision to make. It has happened twice now and The last time it happened was early spring last year and it seemed unusual as the weather was still mild out.

@sock I have read the secret but felt rather “blah” about it.

I am having a quiet day today. I am still trying to balance myself. I have a large family and the undercurrent mood can change in a heartbeat which I don’t think helps at all.

Loyaultemelie · 06/04/2019 17:09

Hello all! What a gorgeous day it is here I have all the windows open wide to get as much fresh air as possible while I update my BOS
VioletCharlotte glad to hear you are feeling good! Hope you are enjoying your afternoon.
Queenrollo I love your friend! They always seem to know when they are needed.
Speakout I hope you enjoyed your peace

The fog is so thick here that I can barely see neighbouring houses.
Light levels low, very atmospheric.

Hello everyone. Just catching up and sorry to hear so many of you have been facing health issues or a slump in mood. Hope everyone has had found even the shortest of moments today to take some time for some self care.

A grey day here today. But feeling ready to put some work into some ongoing projects, hitching a ride on the energy of the recent new moon.

Have a lovely evening everyone.x

VioletCharlotte · 06/04/2019 22:13

Hello everyone, hope you've all had a good day? I've had such a fun day doing tarot. It was a lovely event, full of yoga/ spiritual types, so a beautiful energy to work in. It was my first event and I enjoyed it so much. It's a real privilege to read for people, as they open themselves ok and put their trust in you, I was a bit blown away to be honest. Not sure if I'll sleep much tonight as I'm still buzzing!

speakout · 07/04/2019 06:58

Good morning wise ones.
Another very misty day here, so not sure if it will clear or not. Just having a coffee before getting readu for the gym. Can't say I am ever truly motivated to go, but I am always pleased I do the brain chemicals really give me a mental work out. I feel uplifted as a result- much like a walk in the woods!
Working today for a while, then off to watch DD dance in a show tonight, which will be lovely

VioletCharlotte your day sounds lovleley- well done for such a success, I am sure you are likely to have more opportunities for such work. I am glad your week eneded on such a high note.
Which deck did you use for your readings?
I am thinking of buying myself another deck soon, the last one I bough has given me so much pleasure- do you have any suggestions?

I hope everyone has a magical day.

Just popped in for a brew and to share this article from the BBC about the Book “Masquerade”. I don’t remember the book being published and the controversy surrounding it, but the illustrations and the treasure are absolutely beautiful:
www.bbc.com/news/uk-england-beds-bucks-herts-47671776?ocid=socialflow_facebook&ns_source=facebook&ns_campaign=bbcnews&ns_mchannel=social&fbclid=IwAR3peYBbLLHVL6dGWtAP2ZWHFUdDE6J5f2gNTe-Z7PAvAXQGs8wcz89quZE

I’ve had a gentle, pottering day just cooking, painting and gardening. I have a couple of bromeliads that are just coming into flower. The flowers are stunning but iirc that means the plants are coming to the end of their life cycle. I’m trying to propagate some agave pups in glasses – not sure how that will go but they’ve been there a good week or so and haven’t keeled over yet!

Wishing everyone a wonderful Sunday.

Speakout I use the Everyday Witch deck, the same as you I think? I love the imagery and find them easy to read. Like you, I've also been thinking about buying a new deck. I'm hoping to go to Glastonbury over Easter so will have a look then. I do like being able to see the cards if possible.

wellhelloyou · 07/04/2019 11:13

Hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend. I’ve heard it’s been quite warm in parts of the UK.

We’ve started looking through things as we’ll be making the big move in July and want to feel prepared.

It’s so hard to live in the “here and now” when you feel such a longing to be somewhere else. Somewhere where my soul feels at home. But I don’t want to wish my life away so I’m trying to live in the present.

May I ask what you all do to feel more comfortable and ‘believe’ that everything will be alright in the future if you’re stepping into unknowns?

I’m trying to be positive and just keep saying ‘it will all work out for us perfectly”. Is there anything else I could be doing? Thank you for any insights.

speakout · 07/04/2019 11:52

Mistymount

Thanks for the reminder about that book- I have a dusty old copy in the attic somewhere- yes it was a really special book, lovely illustrations,- quite a cult following.
Your bromeliads look wonderful, they are lovely plants, full of prehistoric power, reminds me of my time in Asia.

wellhelloyou lovely to see you, glad your preapartions are going well.
That's an interesting point about feeling secure about that future.
I don't actuall believe that everything will work out perfectly- life has warts and that is true of everyon'e situation.

What I think we can do is nurture the idea that we will be able to cope no matter what happens,. When we nurture our core and set down our roots- and I don't mean location, but our connection, then even when we hit stormy weather whe have a condfince that all will be OK.
We may get buffeted and a littl eoff course, but we will stay afloat and intact.
And if life is better that that then that's the icing on the cake.

When we work on removing fear then we can step hallipy into the future.

wellhelloyou · 07/04/2019 12:10

Thank you @Mistymount

I understand what you are saying. Wise words indeed.

I did hesitate writing the word “perfectly” as I agree with what you’re saying. I suppose I was trying to feel and be very very positive despite hurdles that may be ahead. I’m an über organised type and I don’t seek perfection but just for everything to work out well for me and my little family. I’ve had (like so many others I’m sure) so so many bumps and times of worry in my past. I’m trying to learn to keep positive and have faith all will work out for us. I’m rambling sorry!!

Thank you for your response Flowers

speakout · 07/04/2019 12:27

wellhelloyou

Yes- but I think the idea of "perfection" needs to be disassembled.

I is not an idea I allow to populate my headspace.
Some would have us think that we as people are less than perfect, imperfect or broken. But then we are set on a road wheer we will never come up to the mark. Dangerous territory.

Same with life. We are sold an unrealistic set of expectations, we don't have to take them on board.
We can re frame our lives to see things in a positive way.

I could have two descriptions of my life, things that are going on, events, challenges loves, difficulties, activities.

I could list all the negative things in my life and those would be accurate.
Or I could focus on all the good positive things- those would also be true
We have the freedom which reality to reside in.

These are within limits of course, I could be struggling with surviing in Syria, but for most of us we are fairly comfortable living an average Western style life.

I choose a magical path, my day is filled with positive and magical things.
My son is recovering after a chest infection, I have a b;lackbird singing in my garden, a warm cat beside me, a rose scented candle burning and my roof doesn't leak.

My friends here on this thread have lifted me and inspired me beyond measure and I hope we will continue to find power and support from each other.

She is divine, she is us.

OP posts:
RomanyQueen1 · 07/04/2019 12:32

Hello all, hope everyone is well or recovering well today.
This may be a daft question, to anyone, nobody in specific. Have you always known that you were a witch or did you have a type of awakening.

I'm asking as my journey into witchcraft as a practice is only just happening now at 52.
I always knew there was something I couldn't explain. I felt different to others and have always been able to see aura and colours in music.
I wasn't brought up in my birth family so had nothing ito lessons, or culture. I have always had a pull towards witchcraft and also often worried about ability to see some things before they happened.
I suppose I'm asking if anyone else has always been a witch but only realised it later in life.
I don't know if it's because I am more open to it that now things seem to be happening.

wellhelloyou · 07/04/2019 12:55

I love this

"I choose a magical path, my day is filled with positive and magical things.
My son is recovering after a chest infection, I have a b;lackbird singing in my garden, a warm cat beside me, a rose scented candle burning and my roof doesn't leak."

Such positivity and a good reminder how lucky we all really are. I will just keep reminding myself how lucky we are indeed and keep the positive thoughts when the feelings of nervous 'what will happen' float into my head.

"My friends here on this thread have lifted me and inspired me beyond measure and I hope we will continue to find power and support from each other".

Beautiful words and absolutely what drew me to this thread. I am such a supporter of being mutually supportive and rising others up rather than pushing aside or dragging down. Love this thread! Flowers Flowers Flowers
