Thank you, Optimist. It's a tough time, especially worrying about my mum. It's a waiting game to see how her treatment goes, but we're trying to stay positive. It's really frustrating that I'm not able to be any help to her and, y dad just now. It's a long haul for both of us

DD getting another brilliant mark at summer school (100% this time)

Mum getting out of hospital today for a weekend break in treatment

Ds2 currently scrubbing the bathroom, having washed the dishes, cleaned the kitchen, hung out the washing and done the hoovering!

I hate being immobile but at least it's giving the kids the chance to improve their life skills

Am very, very slowly increasing the distance I can walk each day, so from living room, to kitchen and back again today😃

I'm grateful that I am making slow but continuing progress after recent major surgery.

Ankle is healing well after surgery. Only another three weeks in my boot before I graduate to shoes and crutches😁
My mum continues to get excellent care from the NHS.
