pawnee I often can't give time to the kind of ritual I would prefer so I just do simple ritual with a candle and my small cauldron. I feel for me it is better to have this little recognition than to do nothing at all which often leads to me feeling disconnected.

If you get a chance to take out half an hour for some peace and quiet, this yoga nidra is a beautiful way of marking the solstice. I listened to it last night before going to sleep and slept all night for the first time in a long while 🙏😊

If you've never done a yoga nidra before, don't worry there no bending involved. Just snuggle up and get as comfortable as you can.

I am feeling refreshed today, out for a little christmas and food shopping this morning,
DD is taking OH out shopping ( always dangerous!!) Ds will be asleep until lunchtime, he was home very late. He also starts a new job on Friday- and feeling much happier- it's been a tough year for him which has had an effect on everyone.

Also hope to be making more ice candle holders this afternoon, I have been experimenting with different shapes and sizes, so that will be fun.
I also need to buy some candles, for use around the home for the coming week. so I'll get off soon and hopefully start and finish my shopping early.

Christmas present wrapping on today's agenda before the family descend en masse tomorrow morning. I took the opportunity for a bit of a lie in as it's my last chance until 2019.

Next year I'm going away for xmas!

Elphame going away next year sounds like a plan! I'm sure I say that every year but never do it

I got up early this morning and went to Asda for 7 to get the food shop done, then out for a walk. It's bright today and I'm sure the energy has shifted. I'm certainly feeling more relaxed. Hope you all have a good day.

Energy does somehow feel different today. I'm very sensitive to light and noticed immediately this morning. Very subtle changes that I normally would miss.

Guests arriving in about an hour so taking this time to reconnect back to you all.

I noticed the change in energy this morning as well. I went out early to finishing my Xmas shopping and the sky had an almost golden tinge to it. It feels like the slate has been wiped clean and its a fresh start for everyone.

Yes a shift here too.

Town was manic this morning, very glad to be home, most of the gifts bought, most are wrapped. Catching up with a huge pile of laundry- all the beds had clean sheets yesterday-, 5 sets of bedding.

Will do a little more wrapping, then make a start on my ice spells.

And I am looking forward to having that tipple tonight!

I basked in welcoming the light last night with candles. The sky cleared later on and the beautiful full moon lit up the sky

Just had a change of family plans so won’t be able to join you for the candle connection tomorrow, much to my disappointment..

I’ll think of you all and connect in my mind amongst it all.

Last night, after I lit the candle and did my wee Yule ritual, I went outside and the moon was veiled in cloud, like a bride with the veil covering her face. In the early hours of the morning, a couple of the dogs wanted out; she had moved across the sky and was full and unveiled. I stood there soaking up the energy until nudged to go back to bed by a cold nose.

Lovely photo @VioletCharlotte. Bright day here too, and mild for the time of year. I too thought I could feel a shift in the air. I went for a walk in the woods today and the air smelt almost Spring-like. A fleeting promise of days to come, despite the harsh, dark days we still have ahead of us first. I will be out at the time of the candle connection so I'm not sure I will be able to join you but I will light a candle when I return to honour the connection and send blessings to all here.

I've just been out for a walk with my dog. The moons beautiful tonight, much less cloud than last night. I feel much calmer now.

I've been enjoying the shift in energy too.
After the unpleasantness I posted about on Tuesday and the steps I took to bind I actually got sick , a stomach bug .
I wonder what significance that has if any.
No more from the individual concerned .
Right as rain again now and feeling quite renewed. It's funny how recovering from something like that really makes you appreciate feeling well again .
So with my newfound love of life I've scrubbed the house ready for plenty of R&R .

Amazing full Cold Moon tonight.

Thank you, @VioletCharlotte! I'm not the least bit upset - this was an especially exciting winter solstice! DD and I were thrilled to catch a glimpse of that beautiful moon 🌕 on Friday, before the rain returned.

Good morning my lovely friends.
At last I have seen the full moon.

Dawn this morning is incredible, a very iridescent purple/violet sky.

Boys in my family have had a minor argument- which almost never happens to be fair, but I have to polish up my peacemaking skills today.
It will be resolved, our family have strong bonds of respect and tolerance, but I am fiercely determined hat this christmas will be harmonious!!

I will approach my OH first and have a chat about NVC, he needs some direction, he is super intelligent but has ASD, so needs a breakdown on conflict resolution sometimes!!

I am so excited about out candle connection!! I know things will be resolved by then.

I'm hope things get resolved Speakout. I'm sure you will. Tensions often run high around Christmas. Two of my lovely friends were upset yesterday over a misunderstanding so I had to do some peace keeping too. I also read an interesting article about the affect the solstice has on our emotions. I'll see if I can find the link, it's really interesting.
