I hope your entertaining goes well .

I don't like entertaining either, in fact I get a little twitchy even when workmen come into the house.

I absorb so much energy from other people- good and bad. It leave me exhausted.

I could have written your last post speakout. It's far easier with chronic illness to deal with isolation than people tbh. Even some online presences drain me. Energy vampires

I'm becoming much more selfish with my tiny energy pockets these days

This thread really is such a lovely place to come to when you're energy reserves are at their lowest and feeling exhausted. The warm, positive energy is just what I needed tonight.

I am super tired today, lots of work, lots of housework, but things are starting to look a bit tidier.

I will sleep well tonight.

I have managed to get both dds into bed, have a haircut and am enjoying some candlelit time with my feet up and a cat on my knee and one on my lap tonight. It's only a couple of hours but it's a recharge I'm very grateful for. (Ignoring snoring Dh across the room!)

Speakout I'm sure you will, now that you know all your orders are finished it must be a huge weight of your mind. Time to relax and recharge!

Loyaul enjoy your me time, I used to love those previous couple of hours to myself once the DC were in bed. Nowadays, I'm in bed well before they are!

Had the sleep of the Goddess last night.

A good day ahead, I;m taking DD into town to pick up a few things from her flat, OH taking DS into town for an interview.
And I will be doing some housework (at a slow pace!) with lots of tea!
I am interested to see how many of you turn to candles as a way of bringing calm.
I hope you all find some magic and nurture in your day today.

I'm not a witch myself but have friends who are. I'm interested and intrigued by everything "twitchy". I'm Christian but incorporate certain aspects of other faiths (Buddhism, Wiccan) into my own personal beliefs. Can I lurk with you for awhile?

Morning everyone. Finally it's my last day of work before the Christmas break. Will use my last bit of energy to drag myself up the motorway! I've got my lovely yoga class to look forward to tonight so that will help get me through. Have a great day ❤️

I am now even more determined to carve out time for a very special ritual.

speakout, I’ve adapted your idea of the ice candles. Mine is going to be a pillar - filled with seasonal plants with particular properties I want to draw in this year - areas where I have been stuck/frozen. I will light a candle on top of it at dawn on the Solstice so that the ice melts.

The moon looks lovely. it is nice. Things should be calmer, they are not. Thinking of you but staying away because my energy is all bad/wrong atm.

My anxiety is through the roof at the moment. I feel burned out and tired, despite being on top of everything and am really struggling to just 'switch off' and relax. I feel fidgety and on edge. This is perfectly normal for me at this time of year, but it's such a horrible feeling. I work in a school and the kids are as high as kites, I'm sure I'm absorbing their energy.
