fannyannie · 02/05/2007 13:22

ok that's ok Suzy - DS2 is a real little flirt.

His response......(very loudly and I know lots of people heard)

"YOU'RE NOT A GIRL MUMMY - You're LAAAAAAAAAAAAYDEEEEEEEEEEEE" (made me feel good at 35 weeks pg and feel more like whale than anything else LOL).

Now go to bed!!

Twiga · 02/05/2007 23:51

Very late and very tired but finally getting a chance to check in after so long - sorry huge bump, lively toddler and much DIY to be done has kept me off mn. Wanted to see if CD had had her baby yet and hurray she has!

CD and family - many congratulations, so glad things went well and as Mum to a Phoebe too have to say fab choice of name ! Looking fwd to reading the full story when you get time to type your birth annoucemnet.

Big hello to everyone else. Things here not bad, didn't pass my first attempt at driving test and we're still waiting the outcome of Dh's job interviews - he's caught up in this whole MTAS system for Drs that's been in the media a lot, nuff said - should know start of June hopefully. Pg not bad, sore with spd and feeling massive and tired but things ok - have scan a week monday as still a query over baby's kidneys being large (I'll be 34 wks then). Prob won't be around a huge ammount in next wee while as just so shattered and busy but wanted to let you know think of you and pray often. Take care x

MaryBS · 03/05/2007 08:01

Hi Twiga - good to see you, and praying everything goes well for your DH!

CD - don't be silly, didn't do much at all, anyone here would have done as much, and probably more!

Last nights Emmaus session was fantastic! We all talked solidly for 1 1/2 hours and were stunned when it was "time up". The lady I'd asked to lead did a fantastic job, and she'd been so reluctant and nervous about doing it. Absolutely great fellowship!

Last night we booked to go away for a week - down to Woolacombe, staying at the same place we'll be in August - they gave us a 15% discount for a second holiday!

I've booked a £15 travelodge on the way down, will be staying in Swindon, if any of you live near there... (have you seen these deals, fantastic price, great for a getaway!)

FA and CCM - some great comments from your kiddos

As for my job - despite things being so busy, I'm feeling a bit happier there - I've realised that a number of people that were horrible to me for no reason have now left, and its made life easier for getting on with those who are still there. So God is looking after me!

God bless all!

Mary

mufti · 03/05/2007 08:37

oh mary, i lived in swindon till a year ago! moved here, 20 miles away, when married dh.
can get in by bus though.

roseylea · 03/05/2007 10:54

Hello all,

Just a quick hi from me.

Hello CD and once again congratualtions! You've brought another precious baby into the world! How cool is that? May God hold you as lovingly and care for you as completely as you are holding and caring for Pheobe. (ooohhh, getting all emotional now!)

Mary your Emmaus group sounds fab! Isn't it great when fellowship groups go that well?

Hi Twiga! Are you in Scotland? Sorry to be random but I remmeber you posting here before...

Suzy you are not being silly. You are connecting with how you feel. THat is so important, so try and go with it. Even better, try and bring it to God; just tell him how you're doing, and say 'here I am God, this is how I'm feeling today...' and pour it all out to him in total honesty. Hold nothing back! Then ask him to come and be with you in the middle of it all, ask him to transform the rubbish and make something beautiful out of it. God is surprisingly good at that! I do that on a shockingly regular basis (pretty much every day!) and it is so healing.

CCM what a funny comment about funfairs! I had a moment yesterday when it took all my mouth mucles and willpower not to burst out laughing...there is a little boy (5 yo) at dd's school who is somewhat obesessed with his willy and particularly likes showing it to other children Anyway he asked dd to show him her willy, which confused her, so she told me and we spoke to the teacher after school yesterday. Dd told the story: "Well, he wanted me to show him my willy" [dramatic pause, wide open eyes] "And I haven't even got one!" [dramatic pause, eyes even wider] "Have I?" The teacher was a picture of professionalism, not even a smile. I had to cover my mouth!

Anyway! It's my 'day off' (hah!) and I have got so many jobs to do...my MIL-to-be is coming to babysit on Saturday and I'm in military operation mode, trying to making the house as perfect as it can be given it's in a bit of a scruffy old state atm. eeeekkkkk! I also have to write a 'christian viewpoint' column for the local paper, to which I contribute. THat means getting inspired! I might write about the bluebells. And on that rather random note...!

roseylea · 03/05/2007 11:12

ha ha, just re-rad my post that starts 'a quick hi' - as if! When are my posts ever short???!!!

CaptainDippy · 03/05/2007 11:44

Mprning! All a bit mad and chaotic in DippyLand; but very happy! DH just taken DD1 and DD3 out for a little walk as DD1 wanted "to take Phoebe Baby for walk", bless. DD2 sleeping. DD1&2 off to nursery this PM - hurrah!

Gosh.

Hello Twiga! Good to "see" you - to whoever asked, yes, Twiga is in Scotland, thoguh I don't remember where .... Bless you honey - I know how tough it can be having a huge Bump and lively Toddler(s) - [[hugs]] Shame about your driving test, but you WILL pass soon - I passed third time, at 33 weeks PG - Contuning to pray for the job situation too, as well baby's kidneys ... Do keep us up-to-date ....

Glad Emmaus was so good Mary and great stuff about holiday discount.

Oooooh, head is all wobbly ..... Phoebe slept really well last night (albeit in our bed - grrrr!) - Only woke up once for a feed at 3am - Not bad! Girls are absolutely loving having her home and it is great to be home too .....

Hello everyone

the sun has come out to play so its nice and warm now in Notts, bit brisk this morning!
Rosey I'm also off today (actually off til tues!) so have been shopping for my holiday - yippee off to Portugal 2 weeks today!!!!!!!
Ds is 3 a week today - how did that happen?

Cd - Phoebe Baby sounds cute, did DD1 enjoy walking her baby sister? Am slightly envious of the newborness....maybe next year!!

Mary, thats great news re work, I hope you continue to find happiness there - Praise the Lord for His work in helping you to feel better about your job.

Right, gotta go, need a bikini for hols and I'm off out to buy one

roseylea · 03/05/2007 14:51

A bikini???? I am sooooooooooo that you have got a bikini body! I have to wear tummy-support old ladies' swim-pantaloons!!!

That's prob. the most we've ever had on this christian thread! Whoops, sorry, Lord!

Twiga · 03/05/2007 15:39

Hi all, yup I'm in Scotland - Aberdeen although we were in Dumfries with dh's job over last year.

CMM - re bikini, the mere thought just now is laughable and even post baby the most i dare is a tankini!

CD - baby Phoebe sounds like she's doing fab! Great that she was only up once last night too.

Not much happening here, enjoying the sun and hoping tonights venture into big bed land for dd will be a bit easier than last night.

ZipadiSuzy · 03/05/2007 15:40

roseylea - rofl, and thank you for your lovely words, will indeed try!!

Hello everyone else, I am off to work now so catch up later, had a lovely afternoon on the local field with children and balls!!! quite simple, but lovely, free and quiet!

MaryBS · 03/05/2007 16:16

Got to share this funny! M. was at the school today, doing a RE lesson with the R/Y1 class (not DS's). He showed them the animated bible study of David & Goliath. He asked the what had they learned

"That the biggest person doesn't always win"

and the classic:

"If we don't like what Mrs D. is teaching us, we can throw stones at her"

ROFLMAO!

Mufti, we're only in Swindon for the evening, really, as we'll be away early the next day... might make it difficult meeting up...
