Gigantic thread right to the bottom LOL - now I've forgotten who asked me how I am!

A lot better this morning. Yesterday was a BIG grieving day I suppose. It's glorious weather and I might take orf somewhere...

Thank you for all your prayers. We so SO need it right now.

There is a thread on the breast and bottlefeeding subject about a young asylumseeker mother who is being appalingly treated at Yarl Wood detention centre and about to be deported on 1st June.
Her name is Janipher Maseko and I'm sure you'll find it if you search for that name. It is too horrendous for words and I feel that we at least have the power of prayer on our side.
Thanks

notsofarnow · 29/05/2007 20:37

aghhh just lost my posst.

right matilda hope you had a good day.

cd and fa where are you? hope your just enjoying your lo's and nothing is wrong.

harrisey college won't last forever believe me been there done that one.

zip hope today's meeting went ok and for you too cd re dh decision.

podmog good to see you

ZipadiSuzy · 29/05/2007 22:35

Dutchoma - oh my gosh, the poor lady, so humungus prayers on the way.

matilda - glad you are over the worst, how are you feeling? and how is your dd?

podmog, nice to hear from you, even if you are in a whirlwind! I pray god shows you down the right path for your housing issue, don't we just love those god-incidences

CD - quiet on mn without you, I know you have your hands full, just hope you are looking after yourself

MTGA & NSFN -

Well today went well DH being made redundant next Friday but getting paid for 12 weeks [phew] will give us time to set the gardening business up, although please god mend my printer 'printing 2 lines of gobbledigook then chucking paper back out at me'[frustration] I'm hoping it just needs a good nights rest (like me) delivered 200 fliers tonight with DS1 - just got in!!! have to set the new phone up (with answerphone) get mi little diary out and hey presto! (wish it was that simple)

Oh well, this is the start of a new beginning, I just hope I can find enough strength to sort everything out and look after 3dc and do housework and go to work

Notquitegrownup · 30/05/2007 08:00

Flying by in the middle of a hectic half term.

MTGAA - huge hugs and prayers, Hon.

Matilda - soooo sorry to hear about your daughter and particularly the lack of support from your family. Have you had any counselling for your past? It would seem valuable, if only to be sure that you have someone who will listen to you and believe you unconditionally whilst you go through this. Do you have an understanding GP? I totally agree with the other poster who said that it may be because your daughter feels safe with you that she hits out at you - though that does not mean that you didn't do the right thing calling the police. You - and she - need boundaries. Praying for you. Keep on posting, Hon.

CD, Rosey and Sooz - praying for you in your busy new phases of life.

Sooz - I was thinking about you this week and had three thoughts:
a - are you able to get your church/CCM's church on side to mention your new business? There may be older people there who would like someone recommended who can help with the gardening

b - in the autumn, you could plant up pots of bulbs - mini daffs etc. to sell at Christmas, when the gardening side of things is quiet.

c - there ought to be start up grants for new businesses. Have you contacted the local chamber of commerce?

Kids creating chaos here. I'll try to pop back later. There are lots of needs at the moment, aren't there? Praying that our Father will wrap you all in His wonderful, loving arms today, and hold you close.

God bless

Notquitegrownup · 30/05/2007 08:52

Matilda

Just saw your other thread and remembered you had a bad experience with counselling before.

Can you write a letter to your Mum, to explain, calmly and clearly what has happened and how you feel? She may well not be able to take it in at the moment, but it will be something that she can read and think on in future.

You need people around you who can believe you. You could try putting "Womens Groups" and the name of your home town into Google and see what comes up and see if you can find a group who will support you and benefit from your support.

Praying for you.

ZipadiSuzy · 30/05/2007 10:40

NQGU - thank you so much, yes we have a local church magazine and will be advertising in the next edition, but thats a brill idea re bulbs etc thanx

My printer has broken [frustration] put new ink carts in yesterday and its not worked since! I think I'll need more than gods help on this one

ZipadiSuzy · 30/05/2007 10:48

With that in view, this was in our local church mag this week!

Did Jesus use a Modem, at the sermon on the mount?
Did he ever use a broadcast fax to get his message out?
Did the disciples carry beepers, as they went out and about?
Did Jesus use a modem at the sermon on the mount?

Did the Apostle use a laptop, with lots of RAM and ROM?
Did he use an E-mail alias, such as Paul at Rome dot com?
Did the man from Macedonia post and E-mail saying "come"?
Did the Apostle use a laptop, with lots of RAM and ROM?

Did Moses use a joystick, at the parting of the sea?
And a satellite Tracking System, to show him where to be?
Did he write the law on tablets, or are they really on CD?
Did Moses use a joystick, at the parting of the sea?

Did Jesus really die for us, that Friday on the tree?
Or was it just a hologram, a bit of wizardry?
Can you download the video clip, to play on your PC?
Did Jesus really die for us, that Friday on the tree?

If in your life, the voice of God, is sometimes hard to hear.
With other voices calling, His doesn't touch your ear
Then set aside the laptop and unplug the fancy gear,
Open up that dusty Bible, and talk to him in prayer.

Notquitegrownup · 30/05/2007 12:29

Aww that's lovely Sooz.

Do you want to send me the leaflets as an email attachment? I could print them off and pop them into the post for you, with no problems. I've got lots of paper here.

You can CAT me or email me on curtisoxonatbtinternetdotcom

ZipadiSuzy · 30/05/2007 18:23

NQGU - thank you very much, you are so kind, I have just tried to e-mail the leaflet to you, but I'm afraid I am soooo computer illiterate it didn't work (what a suprise)

I have had a friend round all day (my only 1 - violins please) she has improved my printer, she has got my printer working but now the colour with the new ink cart isn't working! [more frustration] I don't mind too much but the trunk of the tree is yellow! so looks like the red is not coming through to make it brown.

Perhaps over night the red will sink through to work, please god make my red come through

ZipadiSuzy · 30/05/2007 18:26

CD - How is everything in Dippyland, has your DH made any decision re his work?

ZipadiSuzy · 30/05/2007 18:45

NQGU - I'm soooo excited, I think I've done it! praise the lord

If it did, I will e-mail you my address, plus if you give me yours I can send you a cheque for the use of your comupter ink, paper and postage!

Then I will turn my fancy gear off and pick that dusty old bible up

GOD IS GOOD

CaptainDippySuperBoobs · 30/05/2007 19:28

Boo! Head is soooo "stuffed full", don't know where to begin, so I'll just ask for prayer for less stress & mess ......

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmm.......

huniebunie - Been thinking about making the Prayer thread a weekly thing with a "weekly round-up" for a while - just worried I wouldn't be able to keep up, iykwim!!? I'll try for June & see how it goes ..... would be lovely to have your contribution etc ....

Podmog - Praying for church situation to be completely resolved & for God to really speak you re: community living. Do keep in touch when you can.

Suzy - You are soooo lovely! Thank you for your concern etc atm, am finding life pretty tough, but battling through.... could really do with some more understanding & support tbh, but hey ho ...... Glad you managed to send the email ok - if you would like to, you can send a copy to me too - break the cost etc up a bit?? captain_dippy "at" yahoo "dot" co "dot" uk - Wouldn't be a problem at all sweetie! Wish you lived closer - we could seriously do with someone coming in to sort out the mess that we call a garden!! Wouldn't consider doing a "residential project", would you!!? Anyway, fab stuff about your DH - praying for you over these 12 weeks. xxxx

Just to let you know, DH has taken the new job - stipulating that he be allowed to work from his current office for 2/3 days a week .... Feeling v.unsure about it atm tbh. He starts end June. Sigh.

ZipadiSuzy · 30/05/2007 19:38

CD - Again thank you so much for your kind offer, like I said to NQGU, I have never met such kind and genuine people as I have done on the 'christian prayer thread'.

I feel a bit guilty e-mailing people with my computer problems to sort our new business advertising out, but I am prepared to pay for paper, ink and postage.

I hope you are pleased with the compromise of DH being around fr 2/3 days in the week. Its so hard, especially with such young family, you need a strong support network of people to help you or just to be there for you.

My prayers are with you

CaptainDippySuperBoobs · 30/05/2007 19:53

Thank you Suzy - your posts are always so lovely & encouraging & funny! Don't mind helping you out at all - is a pleasure!! So, any thoughts on the "residential project"!!? Could pay you in chocolate!!?

ZipadiSuzy · 30/05/2007 20:00

'CHOCOLATE'

I would bring my tent, mind you if we are doing your garden there would be no room for tent, [der soozi]

I have e-mailed you, but I feel awfully guilty, like I did to NQGU, please please don't feel obligated, but at least you get the gist of our new venture!

CaptainDippySuperBoobs · 30/05/2007 20:06

You could live in our loft - there's lots of spiders though ... ....

No worries - will get some printed off & in the post sooooooooon ........

DutchOma · 30/05/2007 21:05

Just to let you know that our prayers were answered and Janipher Maseko will not now be deported on Friday. She is still in Yarls Wood until suitable accommodation can be found. Thank you for your prayers.
I also saw some lovely photos of Matthew this afternoon. He is putting on weight, even if not much but is not very interested in being fed with a spoon. He looks such a sweet little boy though and they are coping better with the tube feeding. so, prayers answered there too. Thanks be to God

Notquitegrownup · 30/05/2007 22:29

Sooz - no emails have arrived from you yet . I was sooo excited logging onto our btinernet account, which I don't use very often! Do try again in the morning if you want to, and I'll happily do 100 or so for you. We're off to visit Grandma in the afternoon, so I'll be away for a couple of days after that.

(Has your dh thought about cleaning work - my neighbour does a couple of hours a day caretaking/cleaning at the local school. They always seem desparate for good cleaners and it's indoors, so it would be an income when gardening is off the agenda, but still leave him lots of time each day to garden when the weather is good. Just a thought! Apologies if you've already thought of it.)

G'night. God bless.

ZipadiSuzy · 30/05/2007 22:29

Dutchoma - that is fantastic news, prayers that they can settle down soon and be a family.

CD - ARGHHHHH! I hate spiders! and my DH is worse than me! er perhaps we are going into the wrong business - ROFL

Again please don't feel obligated to print a few posters for me, I'm sure if I try hard enough, or even pluck up courage to take the ink carts back to shop, that the problem will resolve shortly! its just bad timing thats all, DH recieved his official letter today that he is being made redundant next friday and they are going to pay him for 12 weeks (thats lucky) so fingers crossed XXXXXXXXX

Sorry I seem a bit selfish with my postings, only its quite daunting with young family! [worried emotion] trying to take each day as it comes!

I thank God hugely for our good health and good friends and family support!

ZipadiSuzy · 30/05/2007 22:31

NQGU - Hia, will try again, only if you are sure??????????

harrisey · 30/05/2007 23:23

Decided I shoudl come adn say a proper hello - I was a bit freaked out by the work yesterday!

College is GREAT this term, just fab. Its very very hard work, but worth every drop of sweat coming out of me - I am learning so much!! But I am very tired and just not up to a lot of posting/praying right now.

Wanted to let you lot know, though, that we got our things replaced finally from the burglary. i have a nice new laptop, as does dh - we have all our dvds replaced adn a cheque for all the other things we lost. Its a real blessing from God.

Anyway I am going to bed after an evening of cros cultural hermeneutics (how would you explain the Beatitudes to poor latin american women??? - answers on a pc!)

Take care then
xxx

ZipadiSuzy · 31/05/2007 10:11

NQGU - Don't worry, and thank you for your kind offer, like I say I am computer illiterate and don't know how to store it to Word. I'm sure CD will probably have the same problem, but I am determined to get this printer sorted out this weekend!

Harrisey - Glad you have replaced your personal items, and that your college is going brill atm, god is good!

Good morning everybody! wonder if this sun will stay for today

CaptainDippySuperBoobs · 31/05/2007 10:59

Hello!

No, suzy - I got your posters no problem & it just so happens that I've got a whole load of stuff to print off for our local NCT - so I am planning to do it all at the same time sometime before the weekend, so should have posters / flyers ready to post off to you at beginning of next week if that is ok!!? Like I said, absolute pleasure!

Great news about Janipher Maseko & about Matthew's progress too - God is good, always lovely to hear answers to prayer!

Great news that the stuff you had stolen has been replaced, harrisey - Great to hear from you - praying for you as you study and juggle family life - I think you are just incredible honey! So does the Big Guy too!!

Hope you have a good few days away NQGU!

Gosh I am tired this morning - today is my "getting stuff done in the house" day ... so pray P lets me do that once the other two have gone off to nursery this PM!!

Obviously I'll be popping on here a fair bit too!! Hoping to start new thread either this afternoon, this evening or sometime over the weekend .... ....
