Come on Dippy Baby - One more day before you're a May baby ..... Sigh.....

Wow - another month has passed, seems only yesterday I was doing the March round-up. God has been doing his Holy stuff, as always and we're all still here!! Hurrah! Keep praying ... and praising!!

Here's the summary of April's Prayer requests .....

neener - Suffeed a missed MC at 13 weeks in the middle of March and is feeling and confused. Also prayers for niece who has CF and is soon to have a NG tube fitted as she has stopped eating.

mumtogusandalbie - Continuing prayers for Minister's son who is under-going treatment for Cancer. Also prayers for a lady at her church who is soon to be under-going surgery to remove cancerous parts of her bowel etc - She will have to have a Colostomy Bag; but praying that the surgery will eradicate the Cancer for good. Lots of prayers for mtgaa as she copes with panic attacks and tries to become more involved in her church (esp the Sunseekers Group). Immediate prayers that the stress re: driving licence would be resolved!

bobsmum - Prayers for Sinusitis, which has been very bad of late. Prayers for DS with his behavioural issues, has recently been to see Ed Psych who is pushing for a DX.

Mars - Prayers for the two babies who were born at the beginning of the month (update?) Last heard Baby1 was not doing v.well and baby2 was doing ok..... Continued prayers for Dave & Sue - recent investigations have shown that Dave is doing well; but prayer is needed as his liver function is not great.

longwaytogo / notsofarnow - Prayers as she contemplates a possible house move. Praise that she is feeling more positive (prayers that this would continue and she would be strengthened and renewed.....) Prayers for her and DH as they think about poss divorce prceedings etc.....

RoseyLea - Prayers for her as she settles back into the church that they used to go to a while ago, esp that they would find a good homegroup to attend. Prayers for DD's excema, which has been very bad recently. Prayers for her as she emabrks on Chaplaincy Visitors Training and lots of prayers for her health (Crohns) as she keeps herself busy and active.

Wilbur - Praise! - Friend whose IVF treatment failed numerous times has adopted a LO. Everything went really smoothly - Praise God!!

sleepysooz / zapidisuzy - Prayers for relationship with neighbours as they apparently "don't like her children's noise" !! Lots of prayers and encouragement to her as she strives to find a lovely church to settle into with her family. Prayers for DS who has been rather out of control recently. Prayers that her high BP would get lower .....

CaptainCaveman - Prayers for her friend who is in the process of splitting up with her DH. They have two young children. Prayers for her health, specifically worries about gaining weight (she used to suffer from Bulimia) and her "Housemaid's Knee" Prayers for her most recent completed assignment to pass and for her and her DH as they comtemplate having a 2nd LO! Praise that her DSis is looking a lot better, prayers that this would continue. Prayers for her Dniece who has been gaining a lot of weigh of late.

Worzella - Has been feeling very of late - Lots of prayers for an upllifting in her spirits! He's given us a garment of Praise .....

Podmog - Facing a very tough situation in her church where people are gossiping about her and making her feel , uncomfortable and unwelcome. Pray for a quick resolution to her troubles. Pray that she would find a place of her very own in church life.

MaryBS - Lots of prayers that she would find a wonderful new job asap! Prayers for lady she knows who possibly has Obstetric Choleostasis. Prayers for two women she knows who have cancer: A lady in her church who is just embarking on her third course of treatment for Breast Cancer; and prayers for Judy who has been given two months to live and has a 15 year old daughter. Prayers for a couple in her Emmaus Group whose daughter is battling with her ex re: access rights for their child. Very complicated and painful situation.

FannyAnnie - Praise that things are going well with PG and DH - Prayers that this would continue! Protect this precious family Lord.

harrisey - Prayers for her in all her busy-ness - that God would strengthen and uphold her and her family - Prayers of protection over them as they combine study and family-life.

mufti - Prayers as she stuggles with hr DS and his daytime naps; and as she struggles with being a SAHM - Praying that God would put wonderful people alongside her to support and encourage her!

Charleysunnysunsun - Prayers for her DS who has CF and is currently in hospital for an extended period recieving IV anti-b's for an infection.

charleymouse - Lots and lots of prayers for her and her precious family as they come to terms with the death of her DT, Benjamin Peter and the recent death of her gran as well. Praise that her other DT, George Edward is doing well and soon to be coming home! Wrap them up in your love, Lord. xx

katzg - Prayers fo her as she copes with building work on her home and for her DD's terrible excema.

Nanou1 - Lots of prayers as she comtemplates a job interview / offer and as her DH looks for work too. Prayers too as they think about a possible move.....

kilo - Her DH is going to be made redundant at the end of May - lots of prayers her would find a briliant job asap!

CaptainDippy - Prayers for Smole nad her new baby Jesse on her antenatal thread. Jesse has had a lot of problems since birth, but is doing better .... praying this would continue..... Praying Dippy3 would come soon and that the "on / off" contractions she has been experiencing would result in a precious LO SOON!!! Prayers for the family as they prepare to welcome their new arrival into their home / lives.... Erm, there's probably more stuff; but I am rubbish - always at a loss when it comes to these summaries .... I am sure it'll be revealed as May unfolds .....

Hi - Just home from hospital - in a lot of pain - Can hardly walk - not v.nice. Thank you for your prayers, appreciated. Absolutely terrified cos I have no idea what I am going to do with 3 little one's to cope with .....

Praying for you all in your various situations - Glad you are feeling a little more nsfn - and praying for your logisitcal nightmares Rosey - I know them well!

I know the problems of juggling childcare RL - I'm still praying about Friday, when I've got no childcare and its a training day... I've also got no holiday left! Praying for your DH and his dad...

Panda, you're really kind! - did I send you my reflection? Can't remember if I did... its a powerpoint slideshow of "the Creation". I'm really pleased with it. Can send you that if you want... if you've seen it, I did some prayers to go with it, based on the creation. There's my essay on Moses, which throws up some interesting reason as to why he didn't enter the promised land. My outline isnt that exciting, it just goes through the book of Ezra, picking out the main events.

Here's a modification I did on the Lord's prayer to go with the creation worship and prayer:

Creator God, Father, in heaven
Hallowed be your name on all the earth
Your kingdom come, your will be done
On the earth you created, as it is in heaven
Give us each day our daily bread,
as you gave us all that we see in the world today and more
And forgive us our sins, as we forgive those who sin against us
For you created us, though we are sinners
Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil
that you may look at your creation and see that it is good
Amen

Oh and I also did a "Reader's ramblings" (as opposed to Vicar's voice), for the village magazine, based on Pentecost, but also about finding time for our friends.

Well re. my crazy chaotic week - it turns out that dh had spoken to my mum yesterday and said that he didn't want her to have ds tomorrow, he wants to take ds to see his dad who is now out of hospital and recovering nicely! Hence my mum's surprise when i said "No, dh can't take ds..." aaagghhh! Communication 101 - we fail yet again!!!!

THat's what happens when you only get 20mins each morning to talk to each other! So I'm feeling slightly less stressed this morning, altho I've got such a busy day and am so so PMT and just want to curl up under a duvet with a pot of Ben and Jerry's and a Fred Astaire movie [sigh]

STill we are going away for half term so I just have to get through this madly busy week then we'll have a whole week on the beach! (yippee!!!!!)

Please pray for my friend Pen, whose husband died suddenly this morning. 7 kids. They have recently moved out to the sticks - middle of nowhere, massive move. It was their dream. Pray for Pen that she will look after herself and will know God's peace and presence. She can't understand why he has been taken now. She has had a hard life and things looked like they were just coming right

Oh Lord, that's the sort of situation where you have to think: What are you on about Lord and you have to trust that God is greater than any difficulty, but how awfully, awfully hard. Is there anything anybody can do to help?

Morning - Not in as much pain, but still very tender and finding it hard to walk. Thank you for your prayers - DH is home today & I am having a "Duvet Day" - good thing DD's are at nursery / Pre-School/ in bed for most of today! DH is a wonderful man!

@ communication blunder RL - Soooo diffciult when you & DH are like "ships in the night" though - know that feeling well - DH & I are always mis-communicating at times when we are too busy to spend proper time together - Thinking you need to book yourselves a lovely night out together, eh!!? 1/2 Term will be wonderful - praying for decent weather - whereabouts are you going??

Matila - Praying lots for your friend Pen What a tragic thing to happen - guessing her DH wasn't v.old. How awful, esp with 7 children to care for. Does she have a good support network around her? Praying for people to go out of thier way to help her through this v.v.v.v. time - Thank you for posting, please keep us updated if you can. xx

Not a ver bunny today. Supposed to have a stress free morning dc at playgroup nursery. But, but, but, pulling into playgroup car park following another car who went past the turning and as I began to turn in she's decided to reverse into the junction to turn round. I swerved to miss her and hit a bollard. She gave me her details after I called after her as she was goingot house cross the road and she apologised, gave me her details, told me to get quote as it may be better for her to pay it.

So off I go to get quote £575 and then ring her to which she says i've spoken to my partner and he says you should have been able to stop - What - even if I had stopped she would have reversed into me. So she says its not her fault and will let insurance company's sort it out. Thing is if I have to pay then i've got £150 excess to pay and I just aint got it.

Sorry ramble over.

Pain is easing; but so scared it will come back again - Trying to weigh up what I should do tomorrow when DH is at work and I've got all the DD's ... ....

{hugs} NSFN. It may be significant that she has already admitted liability though. Every insurance document that I've ever seen tells you not to do that... for precisely this reason. Make sure you mention it when you speak to your insurance company!

I'm here - starting to get jumpy about every twinge and niggle I feel - 38 weeks today - and my waters broke with DS1 at 38+1 .

Although I have a sneaky suspicion that I'm going to do things the opposite way round this time and go into labour before my waters break.........which is why I get jumpy at every twinge LOL.

I'm here too - about to turn puter off and shuffle off to bed early tho. I have spent most of this evening looking online for a dress to wear to FIL's wedding! (and a couple of other events....I'm rubbish at shopping....)

NSFN I feel for you with the car incident! that's just the type of thing that I do!

Hi Panda! Are you going to any of the New Wines/ SS weeks? I was toying with hiring a caravan and going down to Somerset with the ds, then I phoned a caravan hire plae only to find that a) they're all booked up already and b) they cost about £300 a week to hire! Eeekkkkk!!!! I would love love love to go but I don't see how it could work out. Oh well, maybe I should try praying! (Tongue slightly in cheek there! )

Matilda - praying for your friend, and echoing what someone else said. Whereabout approximately is she in the country? Even if she is miles away, I bet there are MNers who would be happy to put towards a delivery of a hamper etc during the next few weeks.

NSFN - it's soooo ironic isn't it? If you had let her hit you, she would have been liable. I know it won't help much at the mo, but at least you didn't write your car off, as a friend of mine did on a bollard in a car park - no other car involved with her, she just rolled gently into it, and twisted the axel beyond repair!

Mary - I love Woolacombe - haven't been there for nearly 30 years!!! . Now I feel really old!
