I'm confused! hope the birth is not too far away anyway!

MaryBS · 08/05/2007 23:03

My DS was born at 36+1... praying for you FA...

CCM - does meditating help? I regularly feel scared atm, and while its not the same as a panic attack, I find quiet contemplation helps... (at least when the kids aren't around! )

DutchOma - praying for little Matthew.

I love all these snippets of wisdom our children are coming out with!

SIL phoned up tonight, so I asked how Liam was... she said he is getting on OK, but he is easily led by some of the other kids in the school where he is. Which has been causing problems. So prayers there too please...

Well my essay is nearly finished. My word count is now within the range. I just need to go through it checking for silly errors, see whether any of it needs cutting and then to sum it all up. I'm taking a break from it though, so I can look at it "fresh".

And there's still Ezra... I've gone through it chapter by chapter, making notes... I'm going to call it "a journey through Ezra" and I'm going to expand briefly on what its all about. I've decided that's going to be my 3rd piece. That only has to be an "outline".

Oh, and did I tell you I'm supposed to be writing a piece on Pentecost, for the village magazine? That needs doing by 20th!

The Lord will provide!

God bless all

Mary

ZipadiSuzy · 08/05/2007 23:19

CC - I have a CD that I play at night, it helps most of my problems, but not the normal everyday anxious things.

I'm quite interested in Neurological Linguistic Programming (NLP) supposed to make you think Positive, does anybody know anything about it or been on a course? I'm sure re-programming our brains might help! there just seems to be so many of us that suffer different forms of depression/stress/panic attacks etc!

fannyannie · 08/05/2007 23:20

hey hang on Mary - I'm 36+1 tomorrow - don't scare me like that LOL - especially as DS1 is still infectious with CHickenpox, and I don't know yet whether DS2 is going to come down with them !

ZipadiSuzy · 08/05/2007 23:22

FA - Prayers for your predicament, hopefully you'll go full term, then you shouldn't have a problem. Poor little mites, (((((hugs)))))

CaptainCaveman · 09/05/2007 08:03

I have a relaxation cd, might look out something for meditation - need to practice reaching that relaxed state!

So far so good, positive times ahead. I've been reading my bible this morning, something which has been lacking in my life, and have asked for more of God in my every day life.
So, today I am going to make the effort to look and listen for God everywhere - in the car, at work, out and about..will let you know.

Also, forgot this from our zoo trip -
it was raining and the lone gorilla who was outdoors, was lying on a newspaper. (ds thinks he's called a gorillo)
DS: whats he doing mummy?
me: He's lying down love
DS: No he's not. The gorillo is reading the paper.
me: of course he is, silly mummy

MaryBS · 09/05/2007 08:31

Sorry FA, its my sick SOH!

I also need to because I meant to say "Hi Suebaroo". You're in my prayers anyway...

I'm at home today. DS has just been sick all over the kitchen floor. Its going to go down like a lead balloon at work, as I'm supposed to be balancing and sending out the payroll today! Well tough, my DS comes first!

I saw a CD of inspiration quotes from "the Message" in the Cathedral bookshop the other day, I'm tempted to get that to listen to in the car on the way into work.

Talking of the Cathedral, I've been extravagant and booked FRONT ROW tickets to the Dream of Gerontius that is going to be on in the cathedral in June! I'm going to take my mum, to say thanks for all she does for us.

roseylea · 09/05/2007 08:31

Good morning!

Praying for you all esp. CCM and Mum2G&A. May God be everywhere you look!

I am praying for you too Subaroo.

Mary well done for all your essay writing! A journey through Ezra sounds great. I've done my column for our local paper - I do it every couple of months or so on a rota with other people from different churches.

Well we are all fine here - the last few days I've had quite a 'God-incidence' We had a special service at church and I really felt I should invite a friend, and it had such a huge impact on her. I saw her on Monday and she said thay she felt so different after receiving prayer. She is going through some hard stuff atm esp. within her marriage and she soooooooo wants to be able to work through the issues with her dh. Could you please pray for her (and her dh) that God would pour out his spirit upon them and give them back a real love and desire for each other? THank you!

Well I am writing a long letter to our vicar (nearly finished - dh and a friend are proof reading it for me today) about how we've got to the point of me offering myself for ordination training. I am seeing him next Wed. and hopefully by then he'll have read my life story and have prayed about what the next steps, if any, should be. Please could you pray that as I walk this path it would be God's path every step of the way, and that He would walk with me every step. And that it will be fun!

MaryBS · 09/05/2007 08:59

RL - if you want me to proof-read it, send it through! As I'm unexpectedly not working today...

DS is fine, so I may take him to church at lunchtime. They've just started up a Wed lunchtime Eucharist and shared meal afterwards. Would do me good to have some midweek blessings!

PandaG · 09/05/2007 09:29

Morning all

How are we all doing today? MTGAA and Suzy, praying for you both.

Rosey, will pray for your friend, and that your vicar really hears God for you when he reads your letter. Very exciting stuff

FA, praying DS1 is over the chickenpox quickly, and that if DS2 gets it that he is not still infectious when DS3 arrives.

Suebaroo, hello and welcome we a re a freindly bunch, keep on posting!

Worzella's internet is still down , she hopes to be back with us soon. Praying that it gets fixed soon, is so annoying to phone and phone and get no real answer.

Notquitegrownup · 09/05/2007 10:03

Good morning all. Many thanks for your prayers. I got to Housegroup, despite ds2 feeling poorly in the afternoon -he recovered by bedtime. Hurrah!!

Praying for you all.

fannyannie · 09/05/2007 10:48

it's ok Mary - I'll let you off - just don't fancy DS3 arriving just yet - another week or so and I'll be fine with it - seeing my Doula again today and will hopefully 'iron out' some of my last minute worries I have about how I'll feel if things go are over tt again in labour (CS with DS1 - unnessecary IMO, and induced, failed pain relief and assisted delivery with DS2) - both of which have left me feeling rather dispondent about my birth experiences.

I'm hoping for a good delivery this time (or as good as it gets when you're in labour LOL) but I know I need to prepare myself for if things don't go to plan - don't want to get PND again just because my birth doesn't 'go right' IYKWIM

Hia - My prayer today is a sorry prayer, I have just been rude to a lady that parked her car so that you couldn't get in the library, then I realised the library is closed today

Then I went to the bank to pay OFF a loan and was told I couldn't here's me trying to sort finances and being responsible and the bank don't want my money! some clause in the contract re: paying off early!, (miniscule writing)

I wouldn't mind if I had PMT, BUT I DON'T

There, do you feel better now Sooz!
No I actually feel rubbish and want to cry,
What again!

Its ok, don't worry, yes I probably need a straight jacket, just getting things off my chest!

CaptainDippy · 09/05/2007 11:01

Awwww, Sooz, bless you honey - One of those days, huh!!? Praying it improves for you sweetie - [[hugs]]

SEE - we're online at the same time again!

ZipadiSuzy · 09/05/2007 11:06

Thank you CD - hope you enjoy you dads visit, is he staying with you, or does he live local?

MaryBS · 09/05/2007 11:26

Sooz,

I shouldn't laugh at your day, but it really made me smile! Just remember, to muck things up is human, but forgiveness, both of ourselves and others, comes from God.

(will that do as a thought for the day for you? )

CaptainDippy · 09/05/2007 11:26

Neither - just a day trip. Lives about two and a half hrs away, so bit of a hike, bless him!! (He just wats to see P before my mum does!)

OP posts:
ZipadiSuzy · 09/05/2007 11:47

CD - bit of a contest with P as long as they both adore her, which I'm sure they will, we saw her first then if there is a contest going on have a lovely day anyway!

MaryBS - Good one! thats probably why I fight with myself most of the time, cause I am asking the wrong person for forgiveness, I'm highly unlikely to now go back to the library and ask for forgiveness or should I she might hit me!!!!! so is it chicken to ask for forgiveness from God, and how do I know he will forgive me, won't people then take it for granted?

harrisey · 09/05/2007 12:01

Just popping in - please pray, going crazy over heavy workload - its half term this next 3 days and I'm going to be in the library for all of it, been here since 9 this morning!!
Handed one thing in this morning, got a 1250 word essay on Primal Religions to be in by tomorrow 4pm and I havent started it, and loads more - a 2500 on the 'Meaning of Salvation' anyone???

harrisey · 09/05/2007 12:02

Oh and I have the most tremendous PMT and I'm 4 days late - getting very irregular over the last year and hot flushes!

harrisey · 09/05/2007 12:03

Oh and I have the most tremendous PMT and I'm 4 days late - getting very irregular over the last year and hot flushes!

Notquitegrownup · 09/05/2007 13:36

Sooz

Yes, He will forgive you if you ask.

Yes, some people will take His forgiveness for granted, but He still gives it, because He promised He would and He always keeps His promises.

And yes, it would be brilliant if you could pop back to the library too. The lady probably won't hit you (NQGU prays very quickly about this one!) In my experience, when we do dotty things like that, they are sometimes met with a quizzical look, but often bring real blessing to the other person. You could just leave her feeling grumpy, of course, and ask Jesus to bless her. But if you do it, she and you, could be really blessed by it. Bet it would make your Heavenly father smile!

notsofarnow · 09/05/2007 15:58

harrisey don't know what to say but thinking about you.

MaryBS · 09/05/2007 16:01

I've only got one word to say on the subject of salvation and thats "Paul". So only 2499 to go! Sorry, not very helpful am I? Something I've always wondered is, is salvation the same as eternal life?

No its never chicken to ask for forgiveness from God. IMHO its something we don't do enough of! Sometimes it can be the hardest thing in the world to do. It took me about 10 years (at least) to ask God for forgiveness. And do you know how I felt afterwards? As if God was saying to me "About time! I thought you'd NEVER ask!". Its now something I try to do regularly if I feel I should.

I've written my article for the village mag, and submitted it to M. for him to scribble over... I'm on a roll!
