Evening all

JUst been to a girly pamper evening - I've had my colours and style done - can highly recommend it - and tonight was a client evening, so glass of wine and chat and chance to play with the make up etc. I've bought a lovely new compact with Christmas money, is good to treat me for a change - and when you are massively overweight makeup always fits!

Enough of me Praying for your friend Mary, and for her daughter too

NSFN - praying for your H, and for you too honey, as you continue to do everything.

love to you all xx

Hi
Can I ask you to say a prayer for my DT1 BENJAMIN PETER who was born by emergency c section 03/04/2007 at 8:57am and weighed 3lbs 10 oz and DT 2 GEORGE EDWARD 08:58 weighed 3lbs 1/2 oz. Both boys breathed on their own and cried but then Ben needed help unfortunately he had no trachea and after being with us for 9 hours he is now a little angel. George has needed minimum intervention and after 24 hrs moved from high dependency to low and has now been transferred to my local hospital and I have been discharged. He is doing well and gaining weight.
My Grandma also died last week so next week I have my Nanas funeral on Tuesday and my sons on Wednesday.
It is going to be very difficult and I will need all the help I can get.
Sorry this is a little cheeky but could you please say one for me, my husband, my daughter, my two boys and my Nana.
Many thanks CM

CaptainDippy · 21/04/2007 05:27

Can't sleep - Poo!

Glad H's op is over nsfn - Praying for him as he recovers, that he can stay as far away from the pain relief as poss - Perhaps a TENS would work a bit?? How are you feeling about his not wanting you to visit?

Charleymouse - It is so good to "see" you here hon! You are not cheeky at all - This thread is for everyone to come and chat / post their prayer requests - It is always great to "see" new faces! I have been praying for you since I saw your Birth Announcement on the May Antenatal Thread (I am on the April one!) Firstly I thank God for your two precious sons - I thank Him that wee Benjamin is now safe in His loving arms and that wee George is doing so well. I pray for you and for you DH, DD and your family as you struggle through these difficult, sometimes dark times - I pray that He would hold you together and give you so much comfort and support and love surrounding you. I pray that God would hold you close, espeically as you face the funerals of your son and your Nana. I am so to hear of you Nana's death too. You are really going through it right now. I pray that George will be well enough to come home soon, so you can start being a family and concentrating on "getting back to normal", iykwim!? {{{{{{{HUGE HUGS}}}}}} to you honey - Please come back here whenever you want - for advice, for support, for prayer, for [hugs] You are an amazing woman. xx

Right - realy should try and get some more sleep.

Prayers for DD2 who is v.unsettled atm would be be fab - Thank you!

Good Morning - an early post from me because I only have DS2 with me this morning and he is happy watching the tv at the moment. DS1 stayed with Daddy last night but if he was here, he would have hijacked the puter by now!!

MaryBS - prayers for Judy and her daughter. Such tragic news

CD - glad you had a good afternoon with a little 'me time'!! Praying that you get some well deserved rest and that DD2 calms down for you.
Once again you amaze me with your thoughtful and heartfelt post to Charleymouse

NSFN - thanking God that H's operation is over safely and praying for a speedy recover. Try to stop worrying about him - he is a big boy!

Sleepysooz - praying for you this Sunday and really hoping you manage to get to church with CC.

PandaG - great that you had a good evening - and managed to spend your Christmas money - what took you so long?!!!

Charleymouse - your post gave me goosebumps. I can't even begin to imagine the pain you must be going through right now. Please don't think you are being cheeky. Ask for support and prayers every day if you want to. We are all here for each other. Praying hard for you and your family and praying for you Nan - she is in our Fathers arms now and he is taking care of her. God is also looking over George and will send him home to you soon I'm sure.

Well today I have a day without the boys as they are both spending it with Daddy. Unfortunately, I will not be having a pamper day like last time this happened - today is a bit of a springclean day. I am taking DS2 down to daddy at about 9.00am then taking the cat to the vet for her booster jabs then coming home to start a major cleaning up job!!

Your prayers for some willpower and stayingpower for this job would be appreciated!

Hope you all have a lovely day and I will be catching up on here tonight.

God Bless
xxxxx

MaryBS · 21/04/2007 08:09

Charleymouse, of course we'll pray for you and your family. My heart goes out to you in your loss. You are welcome here ANYTIME!

CaptainCaveman · 21/04/2007 09:14

Charleymouse am praying hard for you and your family, as we all are, at such a difficult time for you. Is bubble99 (prob name changed by now) still around? - she lost a dt at birth approx 2 years ago - often helps to have someone who's been through a similar thing to 'talk' to. I'm so sorry that what should be an incredibly joyous time, and probably still is with dt2 doing so well, is mixed with your loss of dt1 and your nana. Big hugs and praying God comforts you and your family and supports you especially on tues and weds.
You are always welcome to come post on our thread.

Thankyou for knee prayers.......Housemaids knee!! housemaids blimmin knee!! If i scrubbed my floors I might understand it! Spend so much time at ds' height I guess. Got to keep off it until it settles down (easier said than done), or go back for antibiotics if it gets worse..
technical term = pre-patella bursitis

Praying on all requests, especially Judy and her daughter.

CaptainDippy · 21/04/2007 09:19

@ "Housemaid's Knee" Fellow Captain! Praying it eases soon anyway - oh well, even more excuse not to do any housework ... shame!!

Enjoy your DS-free day mtgaa - hope it is productive for you, but do have some rest and "me time" too! Praying for sticking power with the new job too ...

Hoep you all have lovely w/e's in the sunshine ..... DH and I off to Antenatal appt at Birthing Centre today ..... hope I don't come back, eh!!? MIL has actually offered to have the girls - I almost fell over with .... Progress!! Praise God! Thank you for prayers .....

Good afternoon everyone!

Charleymouse, like the others have said, you are not being cheeky at all - this thread is fir everyone, at any time. Of course we will pray for you and your family in your loss and grief. I read these lovely words once - "May words of comfort rest gently upon your heart, and in time may they become words of healing". So that is my prayer for you.

Well my dh is merrily pressure-washing the decking in the garden atm (boys and their toys! ) It is shocking to see the 'before' and 'after' bits . I did 'scrub the decks' with the dcs a while ago, with brushes ans warm soapy water, but my abiding memory is that more of the water got on the dcs than on the decking!

I started my hospital chaplaincy visitor training on Thursday. It looks like it's going to be a great thing to do. There are 4 of us on the course - me, a retired physio, a young guy in his early 20s who is a Verger at the Abbey, and a lady who has suffered a lot of serious illness in her life and knows only too well what it's lke to be in hospital. I felt a bit out of my depth to be honest - I mean, how do you approach a patient without sounding like yet another doctor, a Bible thumping madwoman, or someone who's just wandered in off the street?!? So hopefully that's the type of thing I'm going to learn over the next few months.

Anyway, I ampraying for you all - esp. thinking of you CD as your bump prepares to make his or her way into the world! (How exciting!!! )

Of to the christian bookshop this afternoon to try and get some inspirational reading...I have decided I want to read a biog of the Wesley brothers, as I know v. little about them / Methodism.

CaptainDippy · 21/04/2007 12:59

Hi Rosey!! Glad the training has gone well so far .... sounds exciting!

We're about to have lunch, then dropping the girls off and then Antenatal appt, then tea with the in-laws .... busy, busy, busy....

Where are you baby!!!!?

OP posts:
sleepysooz · 21/04/2007 13:01

Charleymouse - I am so to read your bad news, never feel your being cheeky asking for prayer requests, thats what we are all here for, anyway, prayers and hugs for the forseable future, hope everything goes as well as it can do next week, Benjamin is with your Nana in Gods love wrapped tightly around them. Look after yourself, and post anytime! we are always here.

CaptainDippy · 21/04/2007 13:02

Hello Sooz! Hope you're having a good day hon! Are you going to church tomorrow??????

OP posts:
sleepysooz · 21/04/2007 13:06

CD - hope your appointment goes well this afternoon (could keep you in, how exciting)

CC - well thats good news re: housemaids knee, I bet you are relieved, on the housework side of things anyway! perhaps you've been on your knees praying too hard (not that we can ever pray tooo hard) I'd be more likely to get housemaids bottom! prayers for a speedy recovery anyway!

sleepysooz · 21/04/2007 13:09

oops hia CD - um hope so but have a big day today so won't be able to do a dummy run to carlton, so if I do go I'll have to check it out on the internet.

Off to a churches together event on the main field in the village in 2 minutes, agghhh running out of time, I'm about to blast off!
Gospel singing, bouncy castle, goes well together doesn't it, havent a clue what else is going off but I'll be singing 'Onward Christian Soldiers' whilst bouncing!

Sorry have to rush, catch up later!

sleepysooz · 21/04/2007 13:10
Notquitegrownup · 21/04/2007 15:23

Hi all. A flying visit with prayers for all, especially Charleymouse at this time.

Praying for dd2 CD - and for patience and strength and a baby for you too!

Rosey, I was just thinking last night that I ought to read about the Wesleys! Let me know if you find anything good!

God bless all.

CaptainCaveman · 21/04/2007 15:23

st.pauls

hopefully thats the link to St.Pauls which hopefully Sooz will have directions too.

If not, do you know Tesco in Carlton? If you travel straight down Carlton Hill, away from town, you will see Tesco on your left, and practically opposite that is Church Street where St.Pauls is. Hard to miss if you can find Tesco!

Really hope to see you there but appreciate you are v.busy (lol btw at housemaids bum!)

CaptainCaveman · 21/04/2007 15:26

And having just clicked on the link I can confirm that there are no directions listed on it!!

So, if you were to mulitmap it, the post-code is NG4.....

How's everyone else? I've escaped assignment writing briefly coz I'm soooo bored with it. Grrr, still so much work to do though.

sleepysooz · 21/04/2007 16:56

Thanks for that CC - I know my way to Tesco so if I get that lost, I'll park there and walk, (ahem! sinning on a sunday) thats if I can get everybody ready for 9.15am

Having a brill afternoon at 'The Event' churches together afternoon, I have just returned the twins and am now going back for a gospel singing, drum banging, fun evening!

roseylea · 21/04/2007 18:54

hi, just a v. quick one as we are off to a church 'pub style' quiz in a minute.

Sooz I'll be thinking of you as you visit CM's church in the morning.

JUst to say a quick praise report (this may stray into the realms of TMI so look away now if easily offended) - I did a proper poo! Hooray! For the first time in ... well, weeks. (THat's crohns for you). I know it's a bit...ermm... bodily but it is a real answer t oprayer. Please pray for contiuned strength!

CaptainDippy · 21/04/2007 20:06

Whoooooooo Hoooooooo! For Poo! Praise God for that Rosey!

Oooooh, you've all been having v.exciting w/e's with your churches and stuff .... how lovely!

Think DH and I are going to watch a DVD together tonight so not going to be too long otherwise it'll get late and we will be too tired (how sad & old are we!!!?)

All was fine at AN appt - baby still well engaged, BP and urine fine, baby decent size, heartbeat good ....... All ready to Rock and Roll ......

Would be v.cool if you could send up a little prayer - having some doubting, v.anxious moments thinking about having another baby and coping with 3 and keeping a routine and getting time for "me" and my job etc etc - Getting me down a little, so prayers to deal with these feelings would be fab, thank you!

OP posts:
sleepysooz · 21/04/2007 21:45

Roseylea - well done you!

CD - Ah bless try not to worry, I know its easier said than done, 3 children is hard work but you will adapt and cope beautifully, its last minute nerves, everything will be fine, I'm still excited!

Just returned from 'the event' it was a new christian rock band called 'electrica' (I think) they sounded like Mcfly, so kept the youngsters happy! but I am so cold and tired plus the twins are still awake, so much for their early night ready for their 'new church' experience tomorrow!

Got alot out of todays christian fun day, met an old friend, we used to be sunday school teachers together, ooh 20 years ago, she has invited us to St. Lukes, West Bridgford. Plus I got support from another lady from church re: DS1 getting bullied (at school) she is a trained counsellor and has offered to be our 'ear, shoulder' whatever, I am so pleased to have feedback from people, is this Gods work? he obviously guided me to speak to the right people today!

Thank you God for a lovely day, and stop me Waffling on and send me to bed!

MaryBS · 22/04/2007 07:26

Sooz - thinking of you today and glad you had such a good time yesterday! It certainly does sound like God is having an influence in your life!

CD- praying for strength for you, both physically and spiritually.

RL - glad to hear you are having such success, bodily function wise . Glad to hear your chaplaincy training went well!

We've got a busy day ahead of us today. Straight after church this am, its back home for a quick lunch, then off to the cathedral for the St George's day parade for cubs/scouts/brownies/guides. DD will be in the parade (we were only told about it on Thursday), then into the cathedral for a service. Which reminds me, I'd better go press her uniform...

CaptainCaveman · 22/04/2007 08:44

Morning! Had a lovely lie in but also have a headache...too much vino me thinks.

Keep meaning to ask you CD, what job do you do to keep you working so late in to your pregnancy?

Please could I ask for your prayers as I broach the subject of a 2nd lo? first responses have been most unfavourable in the past. I can't bear the thought of ds being an only one, I always imagined I'd have at least 2.
