Praying God's Will be done (bit of a cop out, but being in a simliar situation myself and not know the way out, I can't pray much more, iykwim??) How is Gorgeous George? Weight gain still good??

Fellow Captain - Doing the hallways / landings / stairs - you are v.brave - wow - hope it is going well! Podmog - sorry to hear DS1 is going through it - praying that he gains relief soon! Also for your ongoing church problem. Just remember it isn't your problem but her's and if you can pray for her, then that can help you come to terms with the way she is. Its not always easy, but we have to love our "enemies" too {hug}

CCM - praying for your family friend. How awful and scary it must be for her!

Praise the LORD!!! I have Easter sorted re: childcare!!!!

I could do with lots of prayers our way. I'm stressed out with work, I'm stressed out over meeting the educational psychologist at 1 on Friday, re: DS (have I mentioned that?). I've so much to do on my course and I need to crack on with it AND the Emmaus stuff AND my sermon. The children are whingy and grouchy and I'm SCREAMING at them in the mornings because they don't do as they're told, after telling them a 100 times to get ready for school... FIL's health is also a concern. Oh, and can you please pray that Liam can get a school closer to home? There is one not too far from here that would be ideal, but its full...

I'm also upset because I seem to have lost a friendship and I don't know what I've done. I've tried asking, but she says I haven't done anything she's just so stressed herself, but there IS a problem there, can't put my finger on it. Like last night at church, she sat elsewhere whereas before she'd always sit with me if there was a space. Plus she's been snappy with me, and has made hurtful comments re: childcare and a number of other issues.

MaryBS · 21/03/2007 17:40

Oh and another PRAISE THE LORD!!!! I spoke to a lady at church and she's been declared free of cancer - I'm so pleased for her

mumtogusnalbie · 21/03/2007 18:15

Good evening everyone!

CaptainCaveman - prayers for your family friend. In my experience, America is a great place to be ill! The hospitals are fantastic. Godd luck with the decorating too!

NQGU - prayers for you to give you the strength and patience to deal with DS2. My DS1 is also really playing up and is constantly fighting with DS2 leaving DS2 in tears. It's really draining isn't it?

Podmog - the situation in your church sounds horrible and I pray that you can find a solution soon. Really sorry to hear about your DS1 reactio nto egg. I am so blessed that my boys do not suffer with allergies - I can only imagine how hard it must be for you.

MaryBS - your life sounds very hectic and it is no wonder that you are stressed. Prayers for you that you find some peace both at home and at church. Godd luck with the course work, Emmaus work and your sermon. I am sure that God is looking down on you and will provide you a way of getting everything done. Praise the Lord for your lady at church who has been declared free of cancer - may he also grant this same news on our ministers son who by all accounts is quite poorly at the moment.

My life is just ticking along this week - neither up or down really. H seems to have accepted that we are definately not getting back together because he has been talking to his sister about sharing a flat with someone from the pub - sounds like a recipe for disaster if you ask me but I guess I have to learn to keep my mouth shut!! The boys are both in good health (not even a snotty nose!) which is good except they are fighting rather a lot - I just had to rescue DS1 from the bath after DS2 threw a toy at him, apparently DS1 had been putting a flannel over his head and making scary monster noises at DS2. What can you do?!! I know its just boys being boys but it would be nice to have some peace sometimes!! I'm working the next couple of days so at least I will have some adult conversation and time to miss them IYKWIM!!

God Bless everyone
xxxxx

My prayer on "Light" (day 2 of the Creation):

Creator God
We know we have only to ask
And you come into our lives as an explosion of colour -
Lighting our darkness and bringing the hope of new life in you.
Help us to come to you, humbly and willingly.
Fill the void in our lives with your light.
Use us to bring light to others
Amen

The photo that goes with it is pretty jazzy too!

longwaytogoandabitfurther · 21/03/2007 21:30

ok please pray tomorrow that when I ring DVLA that I will nto have to pay the fine that they have issued me with for not re taxing the car that I sold to garage the end of Dec, but h left garage with all registration docs so the part that we had to send off didn't get sent offf.

losty · 21/03/2007 21:33

pops in to say hi. not been in here for a loooooooooooong while

MaryBS · 22/03/2007 07:20

Hi Losty! How are you?

Hi LWTG - how are things with you? Praying that the DVLA see sense...

and MTGAA - praying for your minister's son, that he may know God's healing care

roseylea · 22/03/2007 07:50

Hello all!

Mary I'm praying for you - it does sound rather busy in your life! Do you know this hymn?

"I heard the voice of Jesus say
Come unto me and rest
Lay down, thou weary one lay down
thy head upon my breast..."

Those words just seemed particularly right for you atm.

LWTG I'm praying for your fine too.

Podmog eeeeekkk @ allergic reaction. My dcs both have reactions to egg (they haven't had any for a long time thankfully) so I know it can be quite awful.

A prayer request - cuold you pray for my mum who is going into hospital today for an exploratory operation? She's been v. v. anxious about it; she really didn't want to have it and tried to talk her way out of it but eventually her GP managed to persuade her... It will take a good few days to recover from physically and of course there's the worry that it might reveal something that needs treatment. I know she'd love to know that people are praying for her.

Also...on a very happy note, my FIL is engaged! And has ben since the 30th of December! and he's kept it quiet all this time! (for good reasons - there was other family stuff going on). So there's going to be a summer wedding - oooohhh I feel a new dress coming on!!!!

Tortington · 22/03/2007 08:21

just popped in to say a couple of months ago i asked for a prayer request and wanted just to say thank you.

CaptainDippy · 22/03/2007 09:13

No worries custardo - Any time hon!!

What a beautfiul prayer Mary - loving the "explosion of colour" - Wow! How are you today? Scheduled in any "rest breaks"!!?

Praying for the situation with the DVLA LWTG - let us know ..... [[hugs]]

Hello losty!! Good to "see" you sweetie!

Praying for your mum as she goes for this exploratory op Rosey - God keep her safe and free from worry. Let us know how it goes - How are you doing sweetie?? Congratulations to your FIL too When's the BIG day?? DH's sister is getting married beginning of June; but sadly I'll STILL be looking like a flubbery whale by then so not too excited about dress shopping - Have seen something in good old Asda that I like, but not v.practical for BF. Oh well - my girls will look gorgeous and detract all the attention from me anyway, so that is gooood!

All ok in DippyLand - just weary ....

Good morning all. Special prayers for you all - shan't mention you by name 'cause there are so many requests atm. How lovely! Thinking of and praying for you all.

God bless.

Notquitegrownup · 22/03/2007 09:55

PS Noticed on your other thread that things are still a bit strained for you at home Custardo (but then, aren't they always, for all married couples?!)

Praying that you might continue to build bridges as a couple, and have lots of fun together too.
