Hope this works!

Love and prayers to all my lovely virtual fellowship group.

I'm at St. Barnabas Church - between Oxford Street and Westfield Rd, morning service is 10am - there's a Sunday school for the over 5(ishes) and creche in the church itself for littlies.

This Sunday will be slightly odd should you decide to visit - as not only is it a Baptism, it's going to be only half led by the vicar (up to the peace will be done by the Curate of Desborough who did her training at our church) - and it'll be her first service back since her Dad died last Wednesday .

fannyannie · 25/01/2007 20:21

ooops - sorry for double post

buggybrolly · 25/01/2007 20:22

Thank you so much, I have three girls aged 7, 4 and 1, So creche and Sunday school always a great help. I am not familiar with the roads but will take a look at map.

fannyannie · 25/01/2007 20:27

It's quite easy to find - if you know where Morrisons is - you continue along that road (heading out of town) until you reach Kwik-Fit and National Tyres and Auto whatever if it is (rival tyre company LOL) on opposite sides of the road from each other - then just turn right up either St. Barnabas Street, or go along to the next road - with the One Stop on the corner and turn up there.

If you do decide to join us on Sunday - do introduce yourself - but please excuse me if I seem "not with it" - it's my weekend "on" at work - which means I'll have worked a 9 1/4hr shift overnight before playing

buggybrolly · 25/01/2007 20:27

FannyAnnie, How long until your baby is due?
x

fannyannie · 25/01/2007 20:29

another 19 weeks yet.......still at least I'm over half way there (unless he's late )

buggybrolly · 25/01/2007 20:32

It will be here before you know it. Time flies when you are pregnant. If I can make it on Sunday I will of course introduce myself. you sound extremely busy with work etc and your children, Am I right in thinking this is baby No3.

I was a bit concious about coming on and saying hello, thank you for making it easier than I anticipated.

fannyannie · 25/01/2007 20:35

I know it's wierd to think I'm already half way there - doesn't seem like 2 minutes since the bombshell dropped with the +pg test! Sure is baby no.3 - and if the sonographer was right on Wednesday it will be DS no.3 too .

If/when you do make it to my church you'll discover I waffle as much in RL as I do online

buggybrolly · 25/01/2007 20:39

Its nice to meet someone who likes to chat, I get told I talk too much too lol.

Anyway hope to meet you at some point at church cant promise this week. I am going to go off now as DD2 keeps getting out of bed!

Take care of yourself and god bless.

MaryBS · 26/01/2007 06:50

Hi BB, welcome aboard!

I could do with some prayers. I'm under the weather, with a really bad cough, plus I've been sick in the night. Unfortunately I have to go into work today...

I've just put the cat amongst the pigeons by emailing our vicar and saying enough is enough, I can't take on any more work. Its for the best though. Whether he'll see it like that is a different matter.

Jockey · 26/01/2007 09:50

Many thanks for your prayers everyone. I woke up this morning feeling incredibly peaceful and my ds went back to school like an absolute dream! I know we are not out of the woods yet and just have to take one day at a time. It's such a big step going to "big school", particularly with the anxiety problem.

I will pray for you today MaryBS and everyone else on the thread.

CaptainDippy · 26/01/2007 10:33

Morning - DD's both still full of yukky cold, DD2 really suffering, v.screamy and horrid - up a lot in the night needing settling and both got up obscenely early this morning! Bleurgh! Happily, I am feeling much better and more positive in myself today, which is good!! Thank you for your prayers - I can "feel" you praying for me, if that makes any sense - Thank you, is so nice! Long may this good mood stuff continue....

Hello potoroo - Nice to "meet" another lurker!! So sorry about your grandfather. So sorry you can't fly out to be at his funeral, but I am sure he would understand. Take some time out, just to remember him and thank God for his life! [hugs] I am glad his suffering is at an end now and he can be at peace.

FA - Praying for you as you approach DH about a Doula - Fabulous people that they are - Hope he is positive about it!!

Hello buggybrolly!! Great to have you with us too!! Praying you'll fine a fab church soon - Sooooo pleased you and FA live so close and can help / support each other - Wonderful to see!

Praying for you Mary - yuk to being ill and good for you confronting M the vicar like that - I am pleased you did it - praying his response is favourable - Now get some rest, young lady!!!!

Hello Jockey - Great to "see" you again, so pleased DS has gone to school ok, praying he has a good day - Thank you for the update! Keep posting, keep praying ......

Little prayer request here (as well as continued prayers for depressive moods / anxiety) - Have a friend from Uni Days visiting with her 16m old. Haven't seen her properly in yeeeeears, please pray we all have a good / non-uncomfortable sort of day!! Thank you!!

fannyannie · 26/01/2007 14:29

Well good news - DH has "ok'ed" the Doula. He's not too bothered about meeting her on Monday when she comes - he's said as long as the one I find I'm happy with he'll be fine too (and I can believe that - he gets along with anyone - he's the only person my family know who can tolerate my dad LOL).

MarsLady · 26/01/2007 14:43

FA... try to get him to meet her. It's as important for her as it is to him. If he is going to be at the birth it really is preferable. Trust me honey! It's changed the way that I deal with my clients knowing how both respond to different situations.

The reason I have popped on is I'm in the middle of a marathon birth and have come back for a quick change, a nap and to ask for prayer. Please pray that my lady delivers tonight. Thanks

fannyannie · 26/01/2007 14:48

oh I will definitely get him to meet her if I decide to go with her - but seen as though this is just the first meeting to discuss her being my Doula I'm not going to push him on it.

Notquitesotiredmum · 26/01/2007 16:56

Flying by with prayers for all.

God bless.

CaptainDippy · 26/01/2007 22:40

Fab news FA - hope he agrees to meet her soon!

Praying your lady delivers tonight Marsy - Do let us know hon!

Ooooooh, births - exiting!!

I'm off to a Meet-Up for my Antenatal Thread tomorrow - excited and nervous! Best get some rest - gotta be up early!!

MarsLady · 27/01/2007 00:03

Thanks CD. Nothing doing tonight. Have come home for a sleep and back for a very early start tomorrow.

FA.. I'm sure you'll do whatever you will do, but the reason I suggested that your DH meet your prospective doula is because we (doulas) like to know exactly what we might or might not be dealing with. Each client has the right to the best care and support from us that they can get. Sometimes it doesn't click with mum or dad.. then it's not such a great thing. When you give birth you need privacy, security and safety. If you don't feel that with your doula (both of you) then it makes for a difficult relationship. However, I fully respect your right to do what you will do... I am only looking to make it the best possible for you both. And with that... I shall butt out.

CaptainCaveman · 27/01/2007 09:16

Morning all, it's a lovely day here in Notts

Thank You God for my lovely happy mood today, I'm feeling fab and jolly and would like to share it around! No reason, just life is good.

Want a giggle? I took ds to a pub with indoor soft play yesterday to meet up with friends. As we sat chatting, ds ran up crying and said:
ds: "no no, boy's not going to tell my mummy"
me:"whats wrong sweetie?"
ds: "Boy says he's going to tell my mummy"
me: "why, what have you done?"
ds: (totally serious face)"I killed him"
me: "well you better go and say sorry then!"

(where did he learn to "kill" people??!!!!)

Praying for you all, I wish I had fellow Cap'ns organisation to keep up with everything! How are you feeling CD? Did you get a chance to look at any websites re motherhood and mental health? I did actually feel like I was insane for a good 3 weeks (although you couldn't tell by looking!), but depression was there for pretty much the whole 9 months. Good news was it disappeared within days of ds' arrival. Praise God.

love, prayers, sunshine and happiness to you all my wonderful fellowship group. xxxxx

Feel really bad at lowering the mood after Caveman's happy post but I got an update on Lewis this morning .

His heart has deteriorated and it is very unlikely that he will get off the heart bypass machine now. He has been put on the transplant list.

His dad says though that they have to try to stay positive for him - he's proven himself such a little fighter to get this far. Every extra day they get to spend with him is so precious.

They would like to thank everyone for their continuing thoughts and prayers.

MaryBS · 27/01/2007 17:13

Shona - he is in my prayers.

CCM - good to read you're in good spirits! God is good, and it never does any harm to remind us all of that!

I'm still "suffering" so this is a quick visit. I think I've pulled a muscle in my chest from all of the coughing! Due to a bad night, my lovely DH let me sleep in this am, or should I say this pm - as I didn't get up till 1:30pm! . I probably would have slept longer but the kids were shrieking... . Still, despite all that, I know I'm blessed by God, so will just put up and shut up!

How is everyone else?

Notquitesotiredmum · 27/01/2007 18:53

Hi Mary. Poor you! But what a great dh! The Notquite household are all getting over colds, with MrNotQuite suffering the most, of course. Otherwise we're fine, though ds2 has gone off the idea of eating anything other than chocolate or salt, which is a bit of a nuisance.

Shona - very very sorry to hear about Lewis's deterioration. Praying for him and his family.

CD - hope you had fun today. CCM - lol at ds! Hope the sunshine and your happiness continues.

MarsLady · 28/01/2007 17:45

Thanks for your prayers. My lady finally gave birth last night. Beautiful baby girl. All well!

I'm knackered as I've had to visit others today but once I've done my final visit tonight I shall fall into bed to sleep the "sleep of the dead!"

CaptainDippy · 28/01/2007 19:06

Fab news about your mummy Mars!! Wish I could hire you as my Doula .....

Hi Fellow Captain - Thank you for your concern. I am still feeling low, but more postive, which is good stuff. Still getting panicy, but managing it a bit better. Will look into Motherhood and Mental Health stuff - haven't had a chance yet - soooo busy atm!!!!

@ news about Lewis, Shona, but thank you for keeping us inofrmed so we can know how to best pray for him. that his condition has deteriorated and he is now on the transplant list. Praying for a miracle and huge strength for his family. xxxx

that you are still feeling rubbish Mary honey. [hugs] I hope the mammoth lie-in helped (v. - of the sleep, not the illnss obviously!!) Hope you feel better soon. xxxx

Sorry to hear you are all feeling rough in your household too NQSTM. Praying for you all, esp MrNQST, as you battle on through.....

Had a lovely time at the Meet-Up yesterday, was soooo nice to have a change of scenery. Think it did me good!

Girls not settling atm - please pray they do soon, I want to go to bed!! Thank you!

roseylea · 28/01/2007 20:34

Hello all!

Just quite a quick hello really, just to let you know I've been reading and praying...

Well dh and I have kind-of decided we do need to move house. From all kinds of POVs, it just feels like the best, the obvious, the only thing to do. There's one house that's come on to the market and I'm going to have a look tomorrow, do a little recce around the village. We do so want to settle down, to find somewhere to live where our dcs can grow up, where we can flourish in a local church...please pray that our good shepherd would lead us somewhere lovely!

I would do a link to the house but I am still remedial at such things
