Popping into say hello. You are all v. much in my thoughts and prayers, but life seems busy at the moment, and I'm feeling very tired.

Footprints, Hon, I was praying for you just yesterday. Thinking of you. It's awful being in such a bleak place, I know. In my experience, God doesn't give us on us, and will wait until you are ready to look for Him again. Praying for hope for you and for light in your darkness. Take it one step at a time, Honey and be gentle with yourself . . . . How's your Mum?

MaryBS - any news on Liam or your brother?

God bless all.

CaptainDippy · 28/11/2006 10:14

Hey guys.

Please can you pray that we find somewhere new to worship, I love the service at our church. For the last few weeks we have not been going, there just hasn't been the drive. On sunday, we didn't go again. DP's step-dad came around yesterday (The pastor) and told us that he and DP's Mum have left the church. I knew something was wrong. Please pray that our family can still be close to God. DP's stepdad is talking about having a family church at their house, which I must admitt I like the Idea of.

Praying for you all ladies!

God bless.

footprints don't know what to say to make you feel better but however you feel now underneath it all is a God who loves and cares for you deeply and personally. Even if you can't pray you can still tell us how your feeling.

not good news about the car - suspension problem is fixed yippee you may say but they took it out for a drive and its still making horrific noise we have now been told that the gear box has gone. Garage we are part exing with have now offered us £400 less as long as they can drive it into auction if its a non mover then may be a different story waiting for garage that has done suspension to get back to us with price for 2nd hand gear box.

Begining to think that God is saying don't change the car but its costing us so much to run and thought a diesel would be the answer. [sigh]

sleepysooz · 28/11/2006 15:32

Footprints - please at least keep reading the post, I know it helps me, I have felt rotten too lately and just havent had the motivation to post on here, but I have read it, please please keep your chin up and don't worry about your faith, it will follow you!

sleepysooz · 28/11/2006 15:38

Footprints, if you feel really down, you can e-mail me, I know we have similar anxieties, please don't be alone, we can help each other!

Evening all

Thank you so much for all your prayers and support, the good news is that baby was head down at scan and I havnt grown any bigger, but bay has, Woohoo

So instead of being 8/9 weeks too big for my dates I am now only 4 weeks, so they are a lot less worried and wow, God is good and I just feel so blessed, just need to actually have the baby now and entirely rule out any health problems, but am believing that this baby is 100% fine and healthy.

Please do pray that baby turns up by the 14th Dec though, I have been the size of someone who is 40/41 weeks for about 6 weeks now and am tired of being so huge and tired.

New church is all going well and we are still loving it, they are being really supportive.

Only possible worry is that my DH's boss was offered a new job and was able to leave within the week, he is currently boss less and has no idea when someone will take over, which obviously isn't the best timing for him to be off on paternity leave, taking time off etc... as there is no one to organise someone doing his job, so he is a tad worried about what might happen.

CaptainDippy · 28/11/2006 18:23

Bugger to car situation lwtg. [hugs]

...and [hugs] to Sooz as well - good that you are still sticking with us nutters!!

Fabtasitc news about the bubba weirdbird - God is good!! Praying bubs arrives by Dec 14th for you honey! Praying for your DH in his work situation too, must be difficult, feeling a bit directionless, poor thing!!

Been a good day today - Please pray for a friend's wee girlie though - she is 21 months and broke her arm falling off a stool yesterday, poor love - Cast is v.awkward and is on her dominant hand, having trouble sleeping etc, bless her....

Just wanted to say don't forget this thread:

Bible Bashers R Us

I thought we could talk about Christmas on it? The real meaning, not all the secular stuff (although you can do that too if you want?)

LWTG - Sorry to hear about your car woes

Weirdbird - great news on the baby, and praying that things turn out well for your DH at his work

Hi Sooz! How are you today?

Panda - praying for you and your cold!

Xavielli - praying for the church situation - its awful when issues crop up and prevent you from doing what you're supposed to be doing - worshipping and praising God.

CD - how did your driving lesson go? How are you doing? Is FIL behaving himself, or have I got to keep praying for him?

TR - have you phoned that vicar yet?

NQSTM - Sorry to hear you're feeling tired. Praying for energy and strength for you in all you have to do.

No news on Liam as such - his aunt took him out the other day - I need to call her and find how it went. No news from my brother, I'm still trying to figure out how to send him an "e-bluey", when he's not a member of the forces, apparently it can be done! (A bluey for those who don't know is a way of writing to somebody at a BFPO address - for some addresses, postage is free. Its a blue airmail envelope and letter in one). I need to phone his wife in Germany!

Please keep praying for them both.

God bless

Mary

Morning!! FIL and MIL have taken DD1 out this morning - - I am beginning to wonder what their ulterior motive is in all this nice-ness!!? I think they realise that they they are going away for a lot of Jan - Feb (BIL and DW and DN live in New Zeleand) - so they are doing their bit now as it is going to be a fair old while til they can help again ......

Anyway, enjoying the time and space to myself while DD2 is in bed .......

Where is everyone??

Driving was fine Mary - thank you for asking - hoping to get an earlier test date than Jan (next available date they had when I went to book!!!!) Reeeeeally hoping I pass this time ......

Head's in a bit of a whirl - just soooo much to do / think about - church have offered me a bit of work, which is great; but now I've got to work out when to fit it in (before Dec 10th!!!!) House is still going slllllowly - our solictor is STILL not sure about boundaries and some other stuff STILL needs resolving - Apparently they are still working to complete / exchange on 11th Dec and I am soooooo hoping that will happen. Also trying to organise Christmas - DH and I write a Christmas letter every year, we've designed the front cover, drafted it and now have to knuckle down and write it, only I am sooooo tired in the evenings - Poor DH ended up writing a bit of it last night while I dozed next to him (I was supposed to be doing a few paragraphs too!! ) Christmas gifts are sorted, but just need sorting - main gift is that we have decided to commit ourselves to sponsering a little boy called Henry who lives in Kabbubu, just outside Uganda. It is part of a sponsorship scheme for a local charity we support. Soooo much to do for the NCT too, AGM on Thurs (need to get baby-sitter sorted...) and Book Group Social on Fri; and NCT Christmas Party and Parents' Social next week - Just utter madness here - Not to mention looking after the crazy girls and being PG - Bit worried about Bean as well - Bump hasn't grown a lot recently and still not feeling a lot of movement. Trying to switch midwife atm too as the one I've got is a complete Ice Maiden ..... ARGH!!! Sorry to rant on, but neeeeed to get it all off my chest - I am absolutely fine, I just do not know whether I am coming or going atm - feel like I am in the middle of an uncontrollable tornado atm - Please pray for stuff to become organised and sorted in my head and in RL - Thank you!!

Anyway - how is everyone else doing??????

Will do summary of Nov and new thread after doing housework tomorrow afternoon - and that is a promise!!!

MaryBS - Yes I'm fine thank you, plodding along, I always read this thread with a smile, but I am in 'lazy posting mode' sorry! in other words I don't have anything to say, although I fully support everyone and their ailments or problems with my 'prayers'

I found your reading the other day so interesting it has taken me through so many thoughts, as we always ask the good lord for patience, healing, faith etc (amongst other things) and I find it hard to read his responses (in your reading) sorry not hard but it was like a smack in the teeth to the extent of 'well I might as well not ask' what is he there for then? I realise the whole concept of living is loving and giving and spreading the 'word'? but it is still all so confusing, I no longer ask for help and strength to cope with things!

Sorry I will carry this on the 'biblerus thread' and leave this one for prayers!

Tara for now!

sleepysooz · 29/11/2006 17:05

I meant bible bashers RUs

MaryBS · 29/11/2006 18:17

Sooz, I've added a reply on BBRU. I never meant for it to be taken that way If its any comfort, I'm always asking God for things, sveral times a day!

PandaG · 29/11/2006 19:26

Feeling a lot better, but still tired and snotty! THanks for your prayers.

Will pray for you all. xx

worzella · 29/11/2006 21:24

Hi, been reading the thread and praying but never seem to have any energy to post - hard to keep up with all the posts!

CD - your busyness is amazing. I pray that you are sustained through it. Thanks for updating the thread

Our minister is still in hospital - looks like a ling process but prayer would still be appreciated

I'm really tired at the moment (3 children, 5, 2 and 3 months ) and the 2 year old is fairly challenging. Please can you pray for energy, wisdom and peace....

mufti · 30/11/2006 08:18

hi

me too with just reading, and trying to pray for all.

feel a little low lately, which results in not feeling i can offer anything but i do feel for all those of you under attack.

MarsLady · 30/11/2006 08:47

Charleymouse (Mumsnetter) is seeing her consultant today to check that all is well with her twin babies. One has its organs on the outside. Please pray that she gets better news than she hopes for and for the lives of these two wee precious ones. Thanks!

One of my clients have given birth to a healthy baby, praise God. Now I have a rather busy December. I have one due today and two in December and a twin birth early January. Now there is a lot of potential for clashing here. Please pray that the births are nicely spaced out and that I manage to get to them all. The twin birth is across town so please pray that she calls early enough for me to travel.

Looking forward to the summary. Something to pop on my fridge and use every day.

MaryBS · 30/11/2006 11:02

Update on Liam - sounds he is in more trouble than first thought. As you may recall, he has been in trouble with the police. He has been advised to plead guilty (I don't know if he is going to or not), so that the courts will treat him leniently. Its a case of his word against some other boys who are in trouble with him. He says he didn't do it. It has however been referred to Crown Court, and if found guilty, is likely to be sent to a youth detention centre.

SIL (Liam's aunt, not mother) took him out the other day, and they had a really good time. Despite appearances, he is still a good kid. Please pray for him

MarsLady · 30/11/2006 11:03

Am praying Mary!

longwaytogo · 30/11/2006 13:59

Please pray for dh, he has now said that he's feeling so spiritually low that he doesn't want to even go to church. That he can't face being with people. Really praying that this is just depression speak and that once the prozac has kicked in he will be fine, But i'm scared, just feel that all the pressure is on me now to get everyone to all carolling events and carol services.

ds is also unwell, chesty cough, lethargic, temp. Ended up crying to the pharmasist today (lovely christian lady) ended up in consultation room. Cried all teh way home.

PandaG · 30/11/2006 14:01

Longway, Mary...praying

MarsLady · 30/11/2006 15:31

My friend has just had to take her 13yo dd into hospital. She's been having terrible headaches and woke up today with slurred speech. Please pray that it's nothing and she'll be restored to full health! Thank you!
