Weirdbird praying that everything is alright for you. Glad DH is there for you (and so he should be, its all his fault you're pregnant )

Marsy, glad to hear the exam went well. Just the hanging around for results now...

Panda - I know what you mean about the essay title BUT I cannot tell you how strongly I know this is the right essay title for me, despite appearances. I also can't begin to explain how I felt when I sat down and read that letter, and just soaked it up. VERY powerful! It just reached out to me and touched me in a very personal way. God be praised!

Katz - whats this about cake?

I'm trying to persuade a friend to come on here. Ali, if you're out there - a BIG HI to you! Ali has decided she wants to start going back to church. She lives in the Sheffield area, so if anyone can recommend a nice friendly welcoming church there, I'm sure she'd appreciate it! Ali has been very supportive for me, particularly when I was applying for reader training.

PandaG · 13/10/2006 22:26

Mary - I live in Sheffield! Happy to take Ali to our church - but it is big and happy clappy! tell me what kind of person she is and I will see if I know a church to fit! Also happy to meet her and be there for her, if that wouldn't freak her out, meeting one of your virtual friends!

When are you coming to see her so I can meet you Mary?

sleepysooz · 13/10/2006 22:45

Thanks for all your support, been to doctors, she was lovely and am being treated for depression/obsessional behaviour, just hope I've caught it before affecting twins life too much! bless, I'm so sad for them that they have a grumpy mummy, hope they can't remember the bad times I've had, I love them so much.

Please keep up the good work, this is my life line at the moment, so thank you from the bottom of my heart!

CaptainDippy · 13/10/2006 23:01

Evening all!

Just a quick catch up before I hit the hay!!

@ your yukky Virus weirdbird - every sympathy from DippyLand - we are "VirusCity" here - come and join the fun!! Praying that you would get over it soon and feel better - and that baby would move off your hernia too - ouch ouch ouch! Yey for DH though - glad he being so lovely and wonderful - long may it continue!!

Sooz - Good for you for going to the Drs - you've done a very brave and a very wise thing. It is never "too late" with God - trust in Him!! Hope the "help" starts soon so you can get cracking on letting God sort you out, my lovely!! Praying for you.....

Pleased exam went well Mars, guess you don't get results til Dec, right?? That's when my friend who did her OU exam today gets them anyway .... Long time to wait .... .....

MaryBS · 14/10/2006 07:17

CD - fantastic news!!!! About the bean anyway. Sorry to hear you're still all sick How is the "hot monkey" this morning?

Panda, I've emailed you. I think a visit would be a good idea, just need to find a spare weekend! Then I could come and visit you both! I've worked out you're about 120 miles away.

MaryBS · 14/10/2006 07:21

Sooz - I hit "post" too soon. So glad you've got a sympathetic Dr. Remember that whether you're grumpy or not, you're their mummy and they love you, unconditionally ( I always think of that as why we need to "become as little children" because they love unconditionally, rather than the theological reason I keep getting told that children had no status and hence we should humble ourselves.... sorry, off on a tangent ).

CaptainDippy · 14/10/2006 07:33

Hot monkey was my hot water bottle btw - - suddenly realised after I posted that you might think it was a poorly DD - fortunately not!!

He's a v.friendly monkey!!

MaryBS · 14/10/2006 08:04

Hello Ali!!!! Hope you're reading the link I just sent you

PandaG · 14/10/2006 08:52

Morning all

how are poorly dd's this morning CD? For that matter how are all our DC? Have a feeling mine are going to be tired today as DS had a friend here for a sleepover, and DD was at a friend's for a sleepover. The 2 here fell asleep late (well DS is usually asleep by 8 at the latest, and they were awake 'til 9ish) and were awake early, about 6.15 grumpy children methinks!

Sooz - how are you doing this morning honey?

Ali, if you are around, welcome

sleepysooz · 14/10/2006 09:26

Well that was awful. I took the tablets with food like suggested, and 3 hours later I felt all strange, heart went like the clappers, went all hot, then had an enormous pain in my tummy, rushed to the loo, had diarrhoea, was sick, nearly passed out, then had terrible shakes starting from my toes to my head, in spasms.

12 hours later I'm still shaking! Not going to take any more, can't run family and be ill, nobody to care for everyone!

I'm sure if I pray hard enough I can get through this depression myself!

CaptainDippy · 14/10/2006 09:28

Oh honey - go back and have your perscription reviewed NOW - no good for a mummy with children to care for. [hugs]

DD's still not right - off to see family today so gotta rush .........

Glad you liked my monkey!!!!

CaptainCavemansMummy · 14/10/2006 09:35

Morning all, I've come to join you on the prayer thread for some lovely fellowship!

CD fab news re scan, am really chuffed for youl.

SS what tabs did you take? I take Citalopram and they gave me a gippy tummy for weeks but this settled. Took prozac before this and it sent me INSANE, to the point where 10 days after taking it I was almost unable to speak.
Will pray for you.

sleepysooz · 14/10/2006 11:29

CCD - tablets are called 'Sertraline' but being ill is worse than feeling grumpy, and still doesn't help me with twins, just now my DD said 'are you fed up mummy' I could cry just thinking about how sensitive she is and how tuned in to me she is, DD a natural carer.

My DH had a nasty accident in the garden about 1 month ago (he's fine now) but DD sat with him with her arm round him, asking if he was alright, she sat there for 30 min, and when I was doing first aid at work, (had to take kids no childcare) she was doing resus with the dummies and bandaging, aw bless her!

CD - Thanks, yes I will ring Doctor on monday, I don't want to be taking tablets if I'm ill! I'm still shaky and feeling a bit nausea, another wrecked precious weekend! thats 3 on the trot. Poor DS still hasn't got a winter coat!

Plus its twins birthday on tuesday and I've a 1001 things to do! HELP

sleepysooz · 14/10/2006 11:39

CCM - Sorry not CCD, going crackers!

harrisey · 14/10/2006 12:28

Could you pray for all the harriseys?
We all have a reallly drippy coughy sore throatey cold. Plus dd2 has diahorrea and ds was sick all over his bed coughing last night. Mr Harrisey is working away this weekend and wont be back until sunday night - left last night - so I am here with 3 ill children, cant go anywhere cos I darent take dd2 out in case her bottom explodes again.
I was up every hour through the night with a child, changing beds, wiping noses, dosing out the calpol (had to write down who had what when!), and today I am feeling terrible, my throat is sore and I am losing my voice.
Ah, the joys of parenthood

harrisey · 14/10/2006 12:42
sleepysooz · 14/10/2006 14:34

Harrisey - thank you very much for your words of expertise, I am totally new to all this and have been in denial for years, but now I have twins I don't want them to suffer, to take anit-depressants is my only sensible way out this time.

I don't know how long it takes for efeect, but even though I'm rough today, I feel a sense of calm, perhaps its the release of tension actually admitting I had a problem.

Although I havent told my DH yet, thats another story!
