I'd forgotten but I met my DH in strange circumstances. My friends sister died on Christmas Eve 95 it was expected but still upsetting, anyway, we had tickets for a club on New Years Eve but she cancelled, understandably, I thought 'great stay at home on my own' then I had a call from a girl I was at school with and hadn't seen for 10 years saying she was in the area and could we go out on new years? I said yes and went and met dh. It's all planned out for us

juniper68 · 06/04/2004 13:23

No papillon, I'm still on 109. DH and I were talking last night so I didn't get chance and this morning I've been helping at DS2s pre school.
I'll get stuck in again this afternoon after cleaning and making an easter bonnet for ds2

Do you think we should start another thread now? this one's getting long too.

Helsbels · 06/04/2004 13:23

you can't lose reiki, Papillion, the energy is always with you, try simple self heals to regain some of the feelings. Just concentrate on your upper body chakras to start and feel the flow return.

Hello again

My dd is asleep on the setee with a poorly tummy so i'll write my first experience/coincidence.

I was living abroad and in a bar one night when this man i'd never met sat next to me and said,"you must be . He was a freind of a freind and just wanted to say hello.
The next day i saw him and sat and had a coffee and he had a parcel, he said,"you can open it if you want". I did and it was the Celestine Prophecies. I was quite down and depressed at this point in my life and he said i should read the book when he'd finished it. I did and it turned me round and made me appreciate life. I had always loved kids!(That is relevant to the story).
A few months later, i met a woman who was on on holiday where i lived and she saw me playing with tourists kids in the bar i worked in. She said she worked in a childrens home in London and would see if they needed any staff as she liked me!! It turns out that she was the woman who had sent the book to the man i'd borrowed it from!
The result was, i got a job in the home, fell in love with the boss and now we are together and have a wonderful daughter!!

Full circle!!

WOW that was long!

juniper68 · 06/04/2004 16:37

melsy · 06/04/2004 17:13

NEW THREAD STARTED PLEASE GO TO HERE. xx

SleepyJess · 04/02/2005 00:17

I know this thread got continued.. but as as a Jessie-come-lately to the site, I have to comment.. so bear with me..

Papillon and Melsy I know.. but are your other folks still around, Angeliz and Juniper..? And the others? I am thrilled to have read this thread. I was reading the James Refield stuff at the same time as you guys.. well as Juniper.. and that the discussion below was taking place. The only slightly less than positive thing I have to say is that I was a bit distracted by the 'plot', with it being in novel form and all. It's not the conincidences I had trouble more.. maybe more that the Un-named Narrator (why couldn't he have a name! I like to know people's names! ) seemed to 'forget' stuff he had learnt and was so sure about from one book to the next.. But then maybe we do that in real life.. I too see energy and in trees etc when I remember to look for it. Not between my fingers though. LOL I remember sitting at the pool side while DS was swimming laps with his club, reading the Celestine Prohpecy and trying to see energy from my hands!

Paps, I didn't know you have been Reiki attuned. Me too, level one only. I don't know why I haven't fone level 2 really. I haven't used it as much as I maybe should be. I the the key to keeping up with it is the slef healing, as Helsbels says, which my Reiki Master (although she didnt call herself that!) said you can do at night whilst falling asleep. I don't feel the heat so much from me.. is that the same from anyone else?

Re coincidences, there is a recent thread about them, which I posted on but I don't think many people have posted on this. They should read it because the conincidences are there constantly aren't they

I could rattle on forever about the subjects in this thread but I'll shut up

melsy · 04/02/2005 10:03

They are still around jess , not so much on this area.

There was a coincidences thread started in other subjects, but i think when it shows up ithis board , people seem worried to post on it. I think we are seen as a little tight nit here, which is shame as we are most welcome to others who have interest, or dont even but would like a good discussion on here about this area of life. Dont want to say you can only come in if your names on the list!! .

I will find the thread on general celestine discussions so that can be ressurected again for you to add to.

melsy · 04/02/2005 10:08

Space for insight 1

Space for general celestine thoughts

paps or Jess, I would really love to do level 1 reiki , does a master charge for such a thing , as Ive been told that doing it at a college is not the way really. Or is it part of a masters mastering to have apprentices so to speak?? may be i'll paste this into a new thread.

SleepyJess · 04/02/2005 10:48

Hi Melsy

I had a taster reflexology session at a fund raiser coffee morning.. and got chatting to the reflexologist about the health problems within my family.. and she got very animated and excited and said I simply HAD to get Reiki attuned! I couldn't help but believe her although I found it had to imagine that I would be able to 'do' it.. but I could straight away.. anyone can. She gave me the number of a lady. I'm sure if you are able to find out a place that provided Reiki healing, they will know who can attune you. There is also a link here but I don't know how useful it will be.

The lady that attuned my best friend and I charged fifty pounds each.. but when I hesitated over this (hadn't realised it would cost that much!) she immediately said that she would never want somebody to not get attuned becausewe couldn't afford it.. and to pay what we could afford so would fifty pounds for both of us be ok (half price.) So that's what we paid. I think there is some debate over charging.. but most of the people who do this, do so as their main occupation.. so need to earn something.

I will check out the links you have given asap.

Think any (decent) Reiki Master would have the same attitude.

My mum is now a Master. Think it cost her about £35 for level 1, £50 for level 2 and £70 for Master. All were for single one-to-one full day sessions.

Agree that college isn't really the way to go.
