FFS, you really want me to hold your hand while you read a simple sentence in English Hmm

I asked "What does it mean for everyone to have an ability that nobody is aware of?". As is clear to anyone who knows the difference between the words "everyone" and "you", I am asking what bumbley means by all humans having an ability but nobody being aware that they have it.

The ability in question is humans sensing the earth's magnetic field. Not you thinking you talk to dead people in your dreams. And "everyone" in my post refers to human beings in general, as does "us" in bumbley's post

Here is the exchange in question:

Wasn't there also something about us actually having an ability to sense the earth's magnetic field in the same way as birds/insects but we aren't aware of it?

What does it mean for everyone to have an ability that nobody is aware of? Confused

It would be good to have a sign that you finally understand before you go hoop-dee-da changing the subject.

After you made me spend all that time explaining and copy/pasting old posts, that is Hmm

A simple acknowledgement like "Oh sorry, I've misunderstood".

Or even "I'm sorry I banged on about this and then called you rude on multiple occasions, but now I understand that it was only that you don't suffer fools gladly" Wink

I think I have woo in my heart and sceptic in my head. I have had a few, unexpected moments that make me believe there is woo in the world. On the surface though I am very pragmatic and very unwoo.

Actually, it's fairly important to speak out against woo, because it can be dangerous. Individual woo-heads are just a bit silly, on the whole, but it's about as big a deal as a friend/relative having shit taste in music/books/art; you smile politely and agree to differ. But things like NHS funding being wasted on con artists such as homeopaths, that's not so good. People being encouraged to refuse medical treatment for their sick DC on the grounds that some woo-peddler can cure them instead. Mediums, clairvoyants and other fucking vultures who take advantage of the bereaved and charge them vast sums of money at a point in their lives when they are unhappy and confused.
