Yes, prayers for everybody entering a new phase of ministry, including Clockface who does no longer post on MN

Greenheart hope your retreat is full of rest and refreshment and God's blessings. (And that the sun will shine and it be not too cold.)

Unique what a horrible situation and well done to you (and NV) for mending it. A colleague of mine once phoned me to say 'have I just sent you an email about Professor X?', which she hadn't, and had instead sent him the message (intended for my eyes only) which said 'OMG this guy's ego needs so much stroking!'. He never forgave her. Twas awful.

Just back from meeting the DDO to go through my BAP report -- not very comfortable, as it's a bit no holds barred about my shortcomings. I must try and focus on the nice things they said!

MHD how did you do those pictures then

UniqueAndAmazing · 26/06/2013 11:42

how did you do those symbols???? Shock

UniqueAndAmazing · 26/06/2013 11:43

The publisher was okay about it too, thankfully!
They emailed back and said they would be happy to send him the download for the book :)
And put "if he does want to review it then that would be great too"
They asked for his email address, I clicked reply, then thought "I'm not going through that again! Shock" and emailed him for permission to send them his email address Grin

I think I warned NV when he first started that I was a bit totally useless. I'm pretty certain I've got dyspraxia, but no diagnosis, so can't prove this. until that happens, I'm just unfortunately-mannered....

madhairday · 26/06/2013 14:34

Ooh niminy - it's hard, that whole BAP report thing...but in a way good that they give you a frank overview of things to work on. Hurts though!

The symbols are from here - they're basically html. Fun to be had...

madhairday · 26/06/2013 14:35

My DD has dyspraxia, nickel, so if there is anything you want to know/discuss about it, please feel free...have you done one of those online questionnaires about it?

niminypiminy · 26/06/2013 14:43

❇ ✿ ❤

niminypiminy · 26/06/2013 14:43

how come that didn't work? it did when I previwed ...

UniqueAndAmazing · 26/06/2013 15:36

mhd thank you :)
I've not done an online questionnaire, but I read the book Caged in Chaos and a lot of what she said resonated massively

MHD it's really reassuring to know that mine isn't the only no-holds-barred BAP report. That's made me feel loads better about it, and I just looked at it again and saw that they did mention one or two positive points Smile

madhairday · 26/06/2013 17:42

I bet it was more than one or two niminy, after all, they recommended you Grin Everyone I know who's been on a BAP have 'difficult' aspects highlighted to work on.

You have to put two square brackets at each end of the html - like you're doing a link.

niminypiminy · 26/06/2013 19:07

niminypiminy · 28/06/2013 12:44

Oh no! I won't be able to come to the meet-up after all! We get home from holiday on 16th and then I have to go away on 18th for a week long residential summer school. I think I'll probably have too much to do (most of it washing) on 17th. Sad Maybe next time...

Dutchoma · 28/06/2013 12:52

Oh Niminy, what a shame. But totally understandable. I wonder whether we should go ahead, so many have said it is not a good date? So far only Blue and Jayne have said they could come. Not Nickel, MHD, Faith and now you. Has anybody else any thoughts on the matter? I haven't heard much of the people that came last time either. I don't want to sit there by myself! Sad

niminypiminy · 28/06/2013 12:59

If we shifted it to another day that would be fantastic for me. Maybe early September might be better as fewer people are away and churches haven't quite geared up again?
