It is 5.08AM. Aillidh is with us still, with sats that have remained in the 70s for the night, even when moved, and a stable pulse, and pupils reacting normally to light stimulus.

Glaikit, I think there have been about 2 miracles so far. The bone marrow engrafting and recovery from infection. And a month ago I would have scoffed at the thought. This is bringing religion and faith into focus for me.

mrsalwaysawake · 06/07/2012 08:57

Keep calm, but keep fighting little A x

WynkenBlynkenandNod · 06/07/2012 08:58

I have just tried to sign up as a donor but am not eligible . Looking at the Anthony Nolan website has however just cleared up something from my childhood that I wanted to know.

When I was very little I remember playing with a little boy who was very ill and that there was a public campaign to help him. Was never sure what he had, we moved when I was 6 away from the area. But I never forgot him and always wondered what he had and whether he had made it, Mum was very vague when I asked her. Have just realised from reading the AN website that he was the first person to have a bone marrow transplant from an unrelated donor and he's alive, well and fairly recently turned 40.

Thank God! Quite literally today, not in some random way that people say when they are a bit relieved but really thanking God that Aillidh has made it through another night.

Thoughts and prayers with the whole family and their medical team who must be working so hard Aillidh. May they have the wisdom to do the very best for her.

Madsometimes · 06/07/2012 09:09

Please grant Aillidh strength. Heal her lungs so that she can breath fresh air. Give her family, friends, doctors and nurses many blessings.

hathorisaskingaquestion · 06/07/2012 09:11

SoftKittyWarmKitty · 06/07/2012 09:11

Just arrived at work and checked in again to see if there was further news from this morning. I'll keep sending positivity and hope throughout the day, and will check in again after work. Stay with us Aillidh, keep fighting angel. x

SoupDragon · 06/07/2012 09:11

I am not one for religion & prayer but I've just recalled this quote:

Suddenly all my ancestors are behind me. Be still, they say. Watch and listen. You are the result of the love of thousands.

We may not be Aillidh's ancestors but there is certainly the love of thousands backing her.

Kendodd · 06/07/2012 09:11

kendodd I believe that is being taken care of my some lovely mumsnetters in Glasgow. Giraffes and psycho are two I can remember off the top of my head, but there are more.

Good thanks Glaikit

My heart was in my mouth when I logged on this morning, and I am so thankful that she has made it through the night and the news is positive. I am on a journey towards faith at the moment, and, as others have said, the power surrounding Aillidh and her family is really affecting me and is an amazing testament to the strength of prayer and love. We have sparked up another candle and our thoughts continue to be with you all today.
