wonderful positive news to wake to....the girl has spirit and fight!! Long may she continue to astound us.

It is 5.08AM. Aillidh is with us still, with sats that have remained in the 70s for the night, even when moved, and a stable pulse, and pupils reacting normally to light stimulus.

Saw the FB update when I first woke up this morning, so I have been away doing RL with DH and DS until I got to work, safe in the knowledge that Aillidh remains settled.

Will catch up on the thread later but sending more positive thoughts and prayers for Aillidh, Expat, family and friends for today to be a good day.

Somebody on the last thread said that her DN was given the Last Rites aged 2 and survived. Hope is not lost.

Can these threads go somewhere safe so they don't get deleted? (unless Ailidh's family want them to be) not Classics though, they need a special place on their own.

I posted this on the last thread as well but, does anyone know this family in RL? Is there something we can actually do to help them, make it easier for them to support Ailidh? Bring them meals? take their washing home and do it for them? Put relatives up in spare bedrooms we might have? I really want to help but I live in Devon, maybe I can send something, or make phonecalls for them? Does anyone know if this stuff is all being taken care of for them?

I give blood regularly and am sure I'm on the bone marrow register too, is there a way I can check? If not I will sign on, better to be on twice than not at all.

Ailidh, I have signed up to the register as a donor today. I've been putting it off because it seemed scary but I realise now that it's not anywhere near as scary as what you and your family are going through. If you can be this tough and fight this hard then of course I can be a donor. I'm sorry I waited so long to do it.

kendodd I believe that is being taken care of my some lovely mumsnetters in Glasgow. Giraffes and psycho are two I can remember off the top of my head, but there are more.

I had a rough night myself, every time I woke expat and aillidh were on my mind. I have said before I haven't been religious for a long time, but to wake this morning to the news she is still with us fighting, it has made me think perhaps miracles can happen. I am going to light a candle and speak to my grandparents who are no longer here, in the hope they can watch over aillidh today.

A new day, a new hope. Thanks be to God.

What a clever, brave girl Aillidh is, and what fabulous, strong people she has around her. I'm checking from my computer at work, but as soon as I get home I will light a candle.

Does Aillidh like Finding Nemo? I woke up this morning thinking 'just keep swimming, just keep swimming.' I hope that doesn't come across as being flippant.
