mintsauceandgravy · 29/06/2012 10:42

My thoughts and prayers are with you xxx

AllYouNeedIsAClickyBallpoint · 29/06/2012 10:42

I agree Stealth.

LemonBreeland · 29/06/2012 10:43

I wad thinking of posting vouchers or doing paypal stealth. I agree that stuff may be overwhelming.

psychomum5 · 29/06/2012 10:43

same stealth. I know Aillidh isn;t allowed anything in PICU with her at the moment.

it is so hard tho....there are so many people who want to help in some way, and with the distance involved, sending something is their best way of showing their love.

Agree Stealth - I think we send money/vouchers to be used whenever on whatever. A flood of stuff might be the last thing they need right now however well-intentioned. Money and vouchers can also be used later on when A. is recovering at home (please God) but they still need support.

psychomum5 · 29/06/2012 10:46

I do know food money is something they DO need. Leigh is losing weight as she has no access to decent food....giraffes is buying what she can but even that is limited and I have no idea what access they will be having to a kitchen right now?

I agree PayPal is probably best, although I was going to send some comics for the children. I won't if giraffes is going to inundated by the contents of John Menzies.

TheGashlycrumbTinies · 29/06/2012 10:49

Agree on Paypal donations, thanks for address.

nilbyname · 29/06/2012 10:49

op can I just ask one thing if you don't mind.

Which supermarket vouchers would be best? I have a tesco round the corner, but there is a Sainbos just a hop in the car. So both easy.

Is there a way we would be able to set up an account with M&S so we can all deposit money there? Would anyone be able to twitter this about thread? Just thinking M&S is great for ready meals, actual food, clothes, underware, toys, everything, but nice as well.

TantrumsAndBalloons · 29/06/2012 10:50

Contacting local m&s, sainsburys etc is a nice idea. If someone wants to give me the address I'll do it now. They may be able to deliver food and stuff to the hospital as well?

TantrumsAndBalloons · 29/06/2012 10:50

The address of the hospital I mean, I'll find the address of the supermarkets

BettySwollocksandaCrustyRack · 29/06/2012 10:51

Could I have the pay pal address please. Still praying for that remarkable little girl x

johnworf · 29/06/2012 10:52

Poor little one and her family Sad If there is a plan to send money/supplies, then count me in.

StealthPolarBear · 29/06/2012 10:52

It's yorkhill I believe

Geordieminx · 29/06/2012 10:53

Giraffes I'm not far away as you know. If there is anything at all I can do even if it's just offering lifts then please PM me

ExitPursuedByABear · 29/06/2012 10:54

Sending thoughts and prayers and love to Expat and A.

Bonsoir · 29/06/2012 10:58

The easiest thing would be for the local M&S to have an account in expat's family's name to which we could contribute directly by credit card over the telephone.

AllYoursBabooshka · 29/06/2012 10:59

That's a really good idea Tantrums.

M&S sponsor MN don't they? It's worth a try, People could send some e-mails.

sassytheFIRST · 29/06/2012 10:59

Still praying, still thinking of this most precious little girl and all those who love her x

mancbird · 29/06/2012 11:01

They are in my thoughts and prayers xxx

MyMamaToldMe · 29/06/2012 11:04

Precious, precious child - please fight for your life. Your name pops up in my head all the time, and each time it does, I say a little prayer for you. Be strong, be healthy.

psychomum5 · 29/06/2012 11:06

I don;t actually know the closest supermarket but I do know giraffes often mentions that she is buying food for them from M&S. Not sure if that is because it is the closest, or just that she wants leigh to have tempting food of good quality.

Madsometimes · 29/06/2012 11:08

Thanks for PMs.

Blatherskite · 29/06/2012 11:09

If you think Expat might not mind us doing it, I'm happy to e-mail M&S?
