My pup has asked me to pass on a message to woofa - she says that she send him her sympathies for his plight, and would come and visit to bring him doggie chocs and flowers (to aid his recovery) because she knows from personal (or should that be dogonal) experience how traumatic such a stay at the vet's can be.

She also hopes that he will not have to wear the Collar Of Shame once he gets home - she herself is wearing a large sticky bandage round her middle, and a rather fetching t-shirt.

I wonder if when he wakes up he'll have learned how to yodel?

I was at the vets the other week for the yearly checkup and there was such a pitiful song coming from the back room - the vet said 'he's been castrated and is feeling a bit sorry for himself'. My dog looked quite concerned, and I was just glad it was me and not DH there, I think he'd have passed out in empathy.
