Sooo... what have we here then...

Hmm, interesting, I wonder if that poster I have never spoken to before will get her pics out later on?

TheWaxedNannyIsFab · 28/05/2009 16:52

Just nailing my colours to the mast, as they say...

KingCanuteIArnt · 28/05/2009 16:54

Oh Bella, I can't believe that nice KCIA person would want to say horrid things, I have read a few of her posts ad she seems really lovely. One of the nicest around here actually.

TheWaxedNannyIsFab · 28/05/2009 16:57

Hope the Blonde one is okay.

She is so nice and cares about her hammies and everything.

I hope he is ok blonde!

TheWaxedNannyIsFab · 28/05/2009 17:55

KC - Woofa will be okay, won't he?

KingCanuteIAm · 28/05/2009 17:58

He should be, bee stings are nasty though, especially in the mouth. They can cause reactions and so on.

Most likely he will be given anti-histamines and sent home as long as the reaction is not huge.

Blondeshavemorefun · 28/05/2009 18:02

christ!!!

what a fucking nightmare!!!!

how do you get the dog who hates going in the car, in the car

answer after 20mins of pulling/pushing etc - you dont

i gave up - was in tears - had visions of a dog dying on me as couldnt breath

i just couldnt get 10.5stone of him even near the car

he isnt daft and as soon as saw the car he ran in opposite direction - pulling me with him - he weighs almost the same as i do

anyway to cut long story short

his face was so swollen, and eyes shut, and he kept trying to rub is poor nose/muzzle with paw

both of our 2 local branches didnt have any vets free to come out

vet said to me to give piratin - which i did 20mls - dont forget he is a big dog - i normally give 5 to my 6yr who weighs about 4stone

anyway after about 30mins left eye is starting to open and he had eaten some sains best ham ( i had to make sure airway was open )

he is laying by me at the moment, with paw on my leg

rang mb and gave her the update - she is on her way home - and i feel a right pillock that I started to cry down the phone to her saying i couldnt get him in the car

she told me not to be silly, and its not my job to look after him etc, and that i did the best i could - she also cant get him into car - only one who can is db - fuck knows how he does

anyway - hopefully my gentle monster will be ok - can have more drugs at midnight and again at 7/8am tomorrow

thank god tomorrow i am not working - i am stressed and need wine!!

i am a fab nanny and can cope with children no probs, and even phone someone to sort out bees nest after i found it this am

just didnt expect dog to get stung and prob lots of time judging by the swelling

thanks bella and kc

I know - just horrid when it is a dog you know. At least he is a bruiser...

bella39 · 28/05/2009 18:04

x post - poor you, poor woofa. Glad he is okay though!!!

Blondeshavemorefun · 28/05/2009 18:11

yeah seems to be

breathing is better now

both eyes are starting to open

i did ring db and yell down the phone to him that he needs to get woofa to be able to get in car EASILY

OP posts:
bella39 · 28/05/2009 18:15

Is db woofa's owner then?

And yes, it's at times like this that these things become very apparent. Will he not go up a ramp at all?

Blondeshavemorefun · 28/05/2009 18:20

tech db owns our monster

but he sees more of mb and me

but he gets into car (apparently) for db with out a problem

no wont go up ramp - i thought i had said about that a few months ago

bloody dog refuses!!

OP posts:
bella39 · 28/05/2009 18:24

Yes, yes, all right - you did say he wouldn't go up the ramp but that was a while ago and I just wondered if he was still not going up at all and was maybe going to offer helpful ramp tips but you sound a bit tetchy sweetie obviously the stress so never mind

Blondeshavemorefun · 28/05/2009 18:28

im not techy

just wasnt sure if i had mentioned on mn that he didnt like the ramp - i am on several forums

any tips would be good, feel free to come and train him to get in car

are you near me?

he is now snoring on single bed matress on his cushion

vet said he may get sleepy - i said he is always sleeps

KingCanuteIAm · 28/05/2009 18:32

Glad he is ok Blonde, well done you for sorting him out. It is no joke is it when they do such stupid things and you can't do much to help.

I think db needs to put some serious hours in on gettting that dog to go in the car, first time every time. This situation it was ok but imagine he had severed an artery or something (which seems to happen quite regularly when at the furthest point from home on walks). You would have needed to be able to get him in the car and to the vet without delay.

So glad he is ok.
