I see what you mean now, I think it will not work because as you say, leaving them by the tent is risky cos they might get taken, but if you leave them in a car for a few hours they might die
Windows open or not. Fans not much use I'm afraid.

I think you need to either leave them at home or not go, really. Or take them everywhere with you while camping.

Notice I am not swearing. There is no need.

it sounds to me like babyjjbaby was only asking for help not for every one to start being horibal to her any way its fine to leave a dog in a car with the windows down as long as the car is well ventlated i only know this as my sisterinlaw works for the rspca its not as if she will be leaving them all night long or all day in the car then u could say it is crul but if its for a hour or so then it will be fine

Get a shoulder bag to put them in, zip it up and nobody will know

You can't seriously take them everywhere in case they get nicked. What a pain in the arse. I'm sorry they were taken once.

Who's been horrible to the OP? Are you the OP?

WonderingWhy · 02/06/2008 21:53

No one was horibal at all.

Nobody got what she was on about, that's all.

Dogs tied up on a regulated campsite with decent security (normally a gate pass) are fine. Leave them in shade, near the tent, on one of those cork screw dog tie up thingmajigs. Leave a good supply of water.

No one will nick them because only folk issued with a pass (and therefore registered with the site) will be allowed on and off.
