Stalemate over what to call our new dog

We are getting a Chocolate Labrador puppy in 4 weeks. We met the breeder yesterday and picked out our gorgeous little girl puppy. Our issue is what to call her. She is our first family pet.
The kids love the name Moona, I love Maggie and DH loves Maple. Any views on these names or how we can break the deadlock?

Put all 3 onto folded pieces of paper into a hat/bowl whatever and ask a neutral party to pick one out?

Maggie is easiest for her recognition IMHO when calling each of them out loud...

Who will be doing most of the grunge work, the get the final say I reckon.

You can't call a chocolate brown dog Maple anymore than you could call her Snowy or Ginger.
So that's DH out.
How old are the children?

Compromise - as you all want M's call her Maureen.

I like Maple but agree that for recall etc Maggie would be best.

Channeling Milly Molly Mandy, you could call her Maggie Moona Maple.
We often call our dog extended versions of his actual name either a fun one or a full version including surname when he's in trouble.

Third vote for Mabel. Maple doesn't work for a chocolate brown dog, Moona and Maggie just don't feel like doggie names. Though we did have a Moomin but she was white.

Also Moona is a pokemon. 😂 spelt Munna but pronounced the same.

Maggie Moona Maple is great. My dog's got a short name but quite often it gets lengthened to ridiculous proportions on account of the fact that we share the same sense of humour...

Here is the girl in question.
DH's argument for Maple is that it's from maple syrup- so it's brown like her (think that's a bit of a stretch) and from Canada like Labradors...
I do like Mabel and Martha- they were both in the list - but I can't throw any more options into the mix!!

I like maple. Our chocolate lab was a very light choc, very golden brown. It would’ve suited her. She was called Honey ironically, we didn’t name her, she was a rescue.

Have you tried yelling potential names? Sonething to bear in mind. Also, how will you feel if people think you’ve named her after margret that her?
