My dog (chihuahua but I'm sure its a cat) brought back what we thought was a dead baby bird last night from her walk.

When I had a closer look at had 3 long legs with claws at the end and then a lump at the top!

So gawd knows what that was.

sparklygothkat · 15/07/2007 21:16

One of them brought in a stewl (sp??) last week, I thought it was a mole...

We had a frog once. Spent ages trying to catch the darn thing while it hopped about and the cat yowled at us, complaining about being kicked out of the room while we played with HER frog.

When we managed to get hold of it, it then spent the rest of the evening sitting on the step just outside the conservatory, glaring at us as if to say 'let me back in, you swines'!

MamaMaiasaura · 15/07/2007 21:17

lisa - my cat bought in koi carp (twice) First time I thought it had mauled a onion.. curly gold bits on floor (fish scales) second time it wasnt even properly dead.

calordan · 15/07/2007 21:19

mine brought in a blackbird last week, finally found the corpse buried in my ironing pile, aagghh

southeastastra · 15/07/2007 21:19

Biglips · 15/07/2007 21:20

i saw a cat carrying a dead scarlet on top of our fence

MamaMaiasaura · 15/07/2007 21:21

not likely southeast.. they would have been really pissed off. Had to kill the 2nd one.. beyond saving.

We've had lots this year including a crow left laying at the bottom of the stair case with its legs stuck up in the air. Also had a rat dropped at my feet whilst on a conference call with some very senior people at 1 of my clients. We've had loads of mice and birds. usually find the entrails or the kidneys and a pair of legs and feet as proof.
