There's a kitten in my house!

It's not mine. I've knocked all the neighbours and left notes through those that aren't in letter boxes. It looks well cared for but doesn't have a collar. We're just hanging out until someone comes and knocks for it.

Clicked on the thread to see if the missing kitten was mine Blush we have now located him under the wardrobe! Hope you can reunite cat and owner soon.

TitsalinaBumSquash · 19/07/2018 16:25

I can't believe they're still not back' they must have gone on holiday and left this wee kitten by itself 😡

Well he's yours now...

Wellfuckmeinbothears · 19/07/2018 16:34

Kitty is yours now! Congratulations on being selected as human slave for a feline master. ‘‘‘Tis an honour you know!

noselimit · 19/07/2018 16:42

Congratulations Grin

Lancelottie · 19/07/2018 16:46

Are you sure there isn't a slightly frantic friend popping round to look after their house and wondering where on earth the kitten has gone?

One of our cats used to abscond every time we went on holiday - do stick a note through the door in case.

CrabappleBiscuit · 19/07/2018 17:06

Yes, it could well be that someone is supposed to be looking after him...

TitsalinaBumSquash · 19/07/2018 17:19

We put a note through yesterday saying that the car had jumped out the loft window and was now at number x, please knock at anytime to get him back.

Oh good!

I don't know whether to say I hope they call you or I hope you have a permanent resident.

TitsalinaBumSquash · 19/07/2018 17:23

I don't even know for sure he's a boy! I have spent too long googling cats genitals 😭

If you can get a picture of your kitten's bum we might be able to help!

ScreamingValenta · 19/07/2018 20:45

^ (sentences you'd never imagined yourself writing)

Beaverhausen · 19/07/2018 21:19

Lol Valenta we might all be banned for looking at pics of kitties bum lol

ThinkOfAWittyNameLater · 20/07/2018 19:40

So ... still have a kitty @Beaverhausen ?

ImAGoofyGoober · 20/07/2018 19:42

He’s yours now!!

TitsalinaBumSquash · 20/07/2018 20:53

He's still here. Owners aren't back although I looked through the window and there's a sink full of dirty dishes and a sofa and an old looking fridge and that's it. I think they might have moved. SadAngry

The Dog is terrified of the kitten after it swiped his nose and left a large wound. DH says we can't keep him, he's vair noisy.

OP posts:
acatcalledjohn · 20/07/2018 21:18

But it's not up to your DH. A cat picks its slave, the slave doesn't pick the cat.

Don't worry OP, it's a learning curve.

I hate people who abandon pets.

Beaverhausen · 20/07/2018 21:18

@TitsalinaBumSquash contact your local CP and see if they will take kitty in, you might have to hang on until they have a space spare which could take a week or two but better than the poor might being left to its own devices.

You are probably right, poor kitten has probably been abandoned, unfortunately there are people in this world who do that.

Beaverhausen · 20/07/2018 21:19

If you have an old teddy and a hotwater bottle or those heating bean bags might be an idea to put it in his bed with him so that he thinks he is with mommy.

NetofLemons · 20/07/2018 21:32

I once heard of a friend of a friend who moved house and (completely planned and on purpose) left their two cats behind in the garden. What a horrific thing to do. I can’t even imagine what kind of arsehole moves out and leaves their cat inside the flat. Sad

sagasleathertrousers · 20/07/2018 21:37

Please keep him. It's so sad that he was abandoned to die but he got out and now he wants to live with you!

sorry for guilt trip

DaftCat · 20/07/2018 21:44

Aww. He’s gorgeous. The dog will come round. What are you going to call him? 😃

dun1urkin · 20/07/2018 21:48

Congratulations!!! Everyone will come round to the idea, your DDog will forgive your new furry overlord and you’ll soon catch DH cradling the kitten and singing to him like a baby.

littlebillie · 20/07/2018 21:48

He has chosen you probably because you are lovely. Heat and a cozy blanket and it will settle down. Poor little mite

littlebillie · 20/07/2018 21:49

Ours was feral when she arrived and she is the loviest if cats now. Initially we had a quiet warm room and plenty of food and it calmed right down
