This needs a bump. Having seen what has just happened in Scotland it is more important than ever that we get this ideology out of our schools.

We need 5000 more signatures on this one by the 18th January to get a response from the government, please spread the word about it over the festive season.

That’s great. I don’t think this is getting anywhere much on the petitions board unfortunately.

I’m not sure why, maybe it’s the title, maybe people don’t understand why we should remove all references to GI, rather if it were worded remove all references to being born in the wrong body from RSE, that any child might have the “wrong body” is more obviously wrong. I suspect many don’t understand the level of indoctrination into an ideology which is happening in schools. Many people don’t realise that gender identity is theory rather than fact and a highly contested theory at that which is being presented to children as fact and can result in children believing they need medication and surgery if they deviate too far from whatever current sexual stereotypes are dominant in the local culture.

And just by saying we all have a ‘gender identity’ which is not the necessarily the same as our physical sexes, the idea is laid in children’s heads that sex and identity may be mismatched i.e that you may be born in the wrong body.

This is why teaching the ideology of ‘gender identity* is so pernicious.
