I am not hugely techie.

But I would have thought to get in the list of active threads, you would just have to be active. Which this is. Because we are posting in it. Actively.

I wonder if just posting 'bump' doesn't work with the algorithm? And actually works against it?

Sometimes it works as it should. Sometimes it appears in Active but disappears abruptly without working its way down the list. Sometimes it doesn't appear at all. It's a mystery.

I do not do social media so chipped in a couple of quid - no idea whether 80 views will make a difference or not but that poor woman deserves closure.

I remember this happening to a thread once before. I reported it to MNHQ and the reply came back 'Fixed for you now' - it did then appear in Active as it should - so it should be fixable.

To reassure posters about the one deletion overnight, a regular and very supportive poster had simply posted a photo by mistake and so their post was deleted at their request. Nothing nefarious.

I don't know. It gets out in a quiet part of the site then struggles to appear in active. Frustrating at least. Especially, given the subject matter.

Despite being very active at the moment.

The last couple of posts didn't make it appear in Active. There are very quiet threads still in Active, and last posted on at 10.44. This thread was last posted on 10 times since then, only sometimes appearing in Active.
