So nauseous do they make me in fact that I cannot bring myself to open them or even post on them. Some are follow-on threads from ones that I really enjoy. I know it's unreasonable but it is a visceral reaction- I just expect them to be filled with barely literate tripe...

I have to confess to using the old bold treatment of posters' names when I'm feeling particularly passive-aggressive

I can't bear the long paragraphs, but especially those that are not punctuated.

Like this:

The wheels on the bus go round and round round and round round and round the wheels on the bus go round and round all through the town the wipers on the bus go swish swish swish swish swish swish swish swish swish the wheels on the bus go round and round round and round round and round the wheels on the bus go round and round all through the town ... and so on

The overuse of LOL gets me too: "My husband is trying to kill me LOL", "My mother is a horrid old bat who is suing for custody of my children LOL" etc etc...

I do have to resist the urge to tell people who announce boldly in their titles that they want to send their children to a "grammer" school or an "independant" school that they should bloody well learn to spell it first.
