Just listening to our's now on iTunes ... There is a Light that Never Goes Out, by The Smiths.

Luckily most of our friends share our sense of humour, but my Mum was a little perplexed, bless her!

We had Hollow Horse by the Icicle Works, no-one had a clue what it was, which made it all the more special for us!!!!

Chorus, " We'll be, as we are, when all those fools who doubt us fade away..."

Also had the theme tune to the film True Romance as we walked down the aisle......aaah, love that tune....

Iklboo · 25/07/2006 13:39

We are having 'You're the Love of My Life' by Carly Simon on Saturday.

Think she is talking about her on in it though as she says I loved you from the moment you were born but we are hoping no one takes note of that - is pretty mushy though and wanted something original that no one would know.

bobsmum · 25/07/2006 14:07

I had planned to have Runaway by the b'yyootifulll Corrs because the first dance is meant to be a waltz and it's 6/8 (I think?).
It was meant to be a surprise for dh because he really liked it.
But he's always a bit thrown by surprises and when the ceilidh band started playing it he panicked and asked them to just play a bog-standard waltz instead. All men are on the spectrum as my mum would say....

We waltzed away looking floaty and fab nonetheless - 7 years next months - sigh

ojsmum · 28/07/2006 12:27

We had queen of my heart by Westlife beacuse it was a waltz and the only one that me and my husband could agree on but it was really, really long
