Yes Lizzylou, I am originally from this area. My DH loves Canada, but is finding it very hard to settle in. We both are struggling a bit tbh. Time will hopefully help a little. And yes, Fall is Autumn. I keep getting tripped up on my Canadian-English vs English-English. I asked my mum if I could "bum a fag" and I thought she was going to have a stroke!! hehe

I loved BC, I'd love to take that train through the Rockies as well, and go to Vancouver Island and see Killer Whales. Mom was in Kelowna, we went to Vancouver as well (gorgeous place, but everyone is sooo healthy, all running up mountains at 5am etc) and we drove to Banff. It was lovely, very beautiful. My Mom would live in Kelowna, I think the vineyards swayed her . The people in Kelowna were very lovely and drank like fishes so Mom was in her element.

I have a Nigella book and it's good, How to be a Domestic Goddess, I think? She does good cake.
