Just walked to our local curry takeaway and had a pint at our local pub while they were making it. I love living in romsey town - which is what this area is called. The pub does romsey town t shirts, but I'm not a big wearer of t shirts.

I know how you feel about battery bella.

Shiney what exactly is it that you are getting in return for spending a potentially child free day with a 3 yr old? Hmm? It had better be something good.

wastingaway · 18/09/2010 21:48

Evening all!

Trills, I laughed all the air out of my lungs @ Ian. Grin How's the kitchen?
Sounds a lovely place.

Hells, so glad to see you back. Sounds like an exhausting holiday!

Mittz, I have a snuggly blanket atm. Smile

DS had an epic nap randomly today, so I didn't get to town, just Morrisons. Can't buy wedding outfit there. Hmm

The kitchen is e-fucking-normous. Well, quite big anyway. I have managed to put something in every cupboard, so it's definitely not too big.

bellavita · 18/09/2010 22:26

Evening Smile

I have been bad with food today, bad! Have just eaten a chocolate muffin on top of all the other stuff Blush.

Hello Wasting and Trills.

Trills, are you in your new house tonight?

Shiney, hope you managed to get some child free time tonight?

I am very Envy of Vinny visiting BoF.

Where is jet and jaq?

Right, am orf to bed - very tired as we were up at 6.00am. My new bed is very comfy btw.

wastingaway · 18/09/2010 22:35

Ooh, lovely big kitchen. Have you got some plans?

Ooh, lovely new bed Bella. Have you got lovely bedding too?

TrillianAstra · 18/09/2010 22:43

Yes Bella in new house tonight. Bed is too big to move so we are on the futon tonight.

I got a quite nice food processor for my birthday so no kitchenaid fir me.

wastingaway · 18/09/2010 22:51

Oh, shame. Grin My food processor is from 1989 I think. I should get a new one.

So, given that DP hadn't seen it Trills, what does he think?

Morning all Smile xx

bellavita · 19/09/2010 09:07

Morning Smile

Raining hard here, we chose the right day to go toe Silverstone yesterday!

Wasting, no new bedding. But I am going to buy some. My old fitted sheets are not quite deep enough for the new mattress (even though the old mattress was not a skinny minny). When I made the bed up on Friday night, DH said he thought we could do with a new duvet cover etc so I am going to take him up on that..

Going into York this morning. DH needs to get his haircut and poor DS2 has an infected finger. DH popped him to the dr's on Friday and they gave him antibiotics, but it has just got worse and it is making his arm hurt now. It needs popping - very very green under the skin and the finger is twice the size it should be. DS2 also needs a new school coat too. I was hoping to pick up my new ring today - they said it would take around a week to come back to the shop. I rang them yesterday as they told me they were expecting a delivery - but it didn't turn up. The next delivery is Tuesday.

How are we all?

bellavita · 19/09/2010 09:08

I should have said with DS2's finger - I am going to take him to the Walk-in Centre in town.

Lizzylou · 19/09/2010 10:15

Morning

I went to Blackpool illuminations so you didn't have to, it was pretty grim. Blackpool looks so tacky and shabby now, I used it love it as a kid/teen. And it is sooo expensive!

Don't do it.

Boys loved it though.

Bella, your DS's finger sounds very painful, ouch.

Trills, you sound very happy about new place.

NormaSknockers · 19/09/2010 10:21

Hello all,

I'll try not to breath my germs all over you, I have the joy of a lovely cough/cold & feeling like poop so slobbing on the sofa Grin

Ouch at DS's finger Bella that doesn't sound pleasent bless him, hope the walk in centre is a help :)

Lizzy at least you've ticked it off & never have to set foot there again Wink

hellsbelles · 19/09/2010 10:32

Bella - poor DS - that sounds really horrid. And Norma - I hope DH is taking over DC duty so you can do some proper illing!

Lizzy - one of my good friends always dreamed of going to blackpool illuminations....and her DH's family was from near and she begged them to take her. They tried very hard to manage her expectations but she still talks about the disappointment now when she saw them in reality!!

Morning mitts.

Nothing to report here....just a lazy day ahead though I'm planning on doing a roast - it's DS's 'favourite meal in the world' so I'm duty bound!

NormaSknockers · 19/09/2010 10:37

Grin hells at it being 'favourite meal in the world' hard to resist when they say things like isn't it?

Oh yes, H is on his best behaviour at the moment, think it might have realised he was being an arse....finally! Grin

hellsbelles · 19/09/2010 10:58

good that DH is being suitably sympathetic Norma! I hope you manage to enjoy a chance to relax through the illing.

NormaSknockers · 19/09/2010 11:20

I'm currently having a DVD-a-thon with DD, she could do with the rest too as 2 weeks of school seems to have caught up with her so we're working our way through a stack, we're currently on The Secret Garden Grin

bellavita · 19/09/2010 11:28

Finally Norma! Long time coming eh? Slobbing out sounds good.

DS's finger pricked and most of the goo squeezed out. Funnily enough, i enjoyed watching the squeezing, very satisfying indeed!! Grin. Coat bought, DH's haircut and now on the way to the supermarket.

Lizzy, oh dear... I know now never to go.

Hells, a roast sounds good.

NormaSknockers · 19/09/2010 11:34

It certainly was Bella, beter late then never I suppose Wink

Grin at enjoying the squeezing, were you not tempted to have a go yourself? Glad it's sorted though, did they say you need to do anything else now?

Lizzylou · 19/09/2010 12:31

Have just got back from the gym, the man on the cross trainer next to me was very obviously sweating off a heavy night on the booze, ugh!

HELLS!!!!! How are you? So good to see you again Smile Roasts are the favouritest meal here as well, so we are having that today.

Bella, v productive day so far, I agree with Norma, I'd have been so tempted to pop the finger myself as well Grin

It's funny, the illumnations/Blackpool I remember from my childhood days was very different to the tacky bunch of lightbulbs and run down shops/tacky bars (what is liquid gold? There were lots of signs saying "we sell fags here" and "we sell Liquid Gold here"...) I used to think it was a wonderland type place...

Norma, so pleased all is good in the Norma household!

Where's Trills? Is she with Ian?

NormaSknockers · 19/09/2010 12:41

Urgh Lizzy that's gross!

It's funny when you go back to a place that as a child was full of wonder & amazement only to be disappointed. Do they still have the trams?

Me too Lizzy, me too, it was really rather unpleasent for a while!!

TrillianAstra · 19/09/2010 12:59

Where am I? I am moving house and have no
Internet, what do you expect, hourly updates?

Dp is pleased with the house. Some bits are not done to the same standard as our flat but there is so much more of it!

Should really get on and do some useful things...

hellsbelles · 19/09/2010 13:08

hellooo lovely lizzy.

Bella you are making me chuckle with your pus talk. I'm the same. What is it about oozing stuff that is quite so, what is the word, I guess - fascinating.

Norma - that sounds truly lovely. I can't wait to do the same with DD. Watching horrible histories on a loop with DS is fun but I long of a little bit of schmultz.

I've persuaded DH to do guitar practise with DS. I've done the Ocado shop and now the papers beckon. Proper sunday.

Trills - good luck with moving...and yes we do expect hourly updates Wink

Iggi999 · 19/09/2010 13:35

Is it some kind of popper Lizzy? I have just wantonly consumed a club. One thing I must say for MIL, she feeds me up Grin
I am jealous of you getting bigger house Trills. Am picturing you dancing round the big rooms in your floaty dress!

Trills OMG I'm so sorry I totally forgot about your house move! Are you pleased? Settling in ok?

Hells I have to say it's really lovely being able to just snuggle up with DD & get stuck into some good DVDs. She loves climbing into bed with me when DH is on nights too & watching TV with me Grin
