NormaSknockers · 12/09/2010 09:27

I'm ok thanks Vinny, stopped crying at least though I have a very red nose!

bellavita · 12/09/2010 09:47

Norma a leather sleigh bed I think, but who knows when we get there, could buy something entirely different. Just waiting for MrB now to finish getting showered.

As Norma says Shiney, a full inventory please! Envy

NormaSknockers · 12/09/2010 10:03

Oooo sounds lovely Bella!

VinegarTits · 12/09/2010 10:13

Happy bed shopping Bella, make sure you test them all out first Grin

VinegarTits · 12/09/2010 10:14

i fancy a trip to ikea today but have no money, i could just go for the meatballs Grin

FiveGoMadInDorset · 12/09/2010 10:15

A leather sleigh bed sounds lovely Bella, we have a wooden one and love it. The job is going great, still two days a week at the moment but I reckon that will cut down soon as I am catching up with the stock.

TrillianAstra · 12/09/2010 10:26

I'm hoping for an Ikea trip once we have moved.

Will go to Gap today as DP needs jeans - I have a 30% off voucher if anyone wants but it is in store only and finishes today.

New bed sounds wonderful Bella - are you going to get nice new bedding to go with it?

OuchPassVodka · 12/09/2010 10:28

Vinny i need a trip to ikea to return picture frames that are too big. But no car. Could u go, eat meatballs and let ds run off a bit of steam in smaland? ds loves doing that. Grin

my head hurts but sleep depreivation rather then hangover.
Child no longer screaming but was earlier when the new weekend morning rules put very firmly reenforced.

I have put my foot down. no more being climbed on, no more being kicked, no more being yelled at and no more duvet stealing. well not until 8:30am anyway. For a child who fetches his own breakfast and wants nothing to do with you once you are awake, justs likes the novatly of annoying u first thing, i feel this is acceptable 2 days a week. especially as he had a digital clock in his room that he can read the time from. i am happy for him to be up, downstairs watching tv and making his own breakfast. Just i dont like mornings and am fed up with starting mornings at the weekend yelling at him to stop climbing and annoying me mean -mmummy--

Gad you feel a tiny bit better this morning. Norma even if it is chocolate induced. I has to be done. and tbh the only reason i am still fuctioning is due to all the caffine i have been drinking and these sodding steroids that are letting me breathe. I will be commotosed later and probably all day tomo.

Shiney - it would appear i am doing a good line in silly billy atm. BlushGrin

OuchPassVodka · 12/09/2010 10:31

bella enjoy the bed shopping.

wastingaway · 12/09/2010 10:50

Morning!!!
DH has taken DS to watch some Sunday League footie and I am crafting and watching Slacker, which I haven't seen since the VCR bit the dust years back.

Jaq, I am soooo glad you've got your tax credits. Hope everything else can slot into place now.

Norma, lovely Norma. Smile chocolate hugs for you.

Ouch, if he understands what he's doing, then it seems fair to lay the law down.

Trills and BoF, your hair is made for flowers.

Ikea! Oh Ikea! I have determined that the bookcase in the back room is getting close to terminal structural collapse. Having survived at least 9 house moves over 20 years and being excessively overloaded, we are going to get a replacement.
We are going to have to hire a car to get to Ikea, but it will happen. Grin

I've never been to a John Lewis. Is it like an even posher Debenhams?

OP posts:
TrillianAstra · 12/09/2010 10:53

It's a bit like that. But there is more stuff that is just "John Lewis stuff" than there is in a Debenhams. And the staff are helpful and knowledgeable. And the only outside brands they have tend to be more premium ones (no teenagery clothes bits in JL). And it's clean and tidy and airy and beautiful.

OuchPassVodka · 12/09/2010 11:03

jL has a habberdashery wasting. tis the only reason i end up in there. Grin

wastingaway · 12/09/2010 11:04

That sounds lovely.

Goats cheese is good. Avocado a bit boring - only nice when made into guacamole. Are you still on the super diet train?

Urgh...we've all woke up with stinking colds here. Felt it coming on yesterday but wouldn't indulge it due to the party.

Supposed to be the much anticipated/slightly dreaded meeting between DH2 and XH today. Might have to cancel if the paracetamol and decongestants don't kick in soon. Would rather get it over with though.

Jac, glad everything with the TC is finally sorted!

VinegarTits · 12/09/2010 11:47

i have 20 in my bank to last me till wed, there is food in the cupboards and petrol in the car though so i am thinking of going out for a cheapo lunch with it

have so much to do though, had to wash all the bedding this morning because ds2 had a couple of accidents in the night and i still havent washed uniforms yet Hmm house is a mess too, i need a cleaner

VinegarTits · 12/09/2010 11:48

sorry your all illing Yank you have my sympathy, we have sore throats here too

FiveGoMadInDorset · 12/09/2010 12:19

Sounds lovely Shiney.

bellavita · 12/09/2010 12:41

Am home!

new bed.

A bit of a mix-up as I went into the shop on Friday and saw it, then looked on website and saw it at a cheaper price. What I didn't realise was that the shop one has draws and the one I saw online hasn't, hence why cheaper. Then of course you have to buy the mattress too. Sooooooooooo anyway, MrB realised the mistake I had made, but it still didn't stop me from having a tantrum few words with the nice gentleman in the shop and I got the bed and mattress for a more reasonable amount - still went over budget, but not as much. (I still haven't told him I went well over budget on my ring yesterday). So as for new bedding, I had better wait a while....

Hi Wasting Smile - I am sure that Shiney would be able to talk you through every dept in John Lewis and then you could build up a picture of what it is like Grin

Shiney, £70 is loads!

Vinny, meatballs sound good.

bellavita · 12/09/2010 12:41

Sorry you are illing Yank Sad. Are you back at work tomorrow too?

bellavita · 12/09/2010 12:44

Not quite a sleigh bed Fanny, but when I had a good look, I preferred the one with straighter lines. Just gotta get the old bed down the stairs now... MrB has agreed (under duress) to work from home this Friday so he can take delivery of it even though he said he bets his new Macboo Pro will turn up at work on that day. Can you see there is a pattern emerging here... that I get my own way a lot! Grin
