Went blackberry picking yesterday and made 21 jars of blackberry & apple jam. Supposed to be going to the car booty this morning but it is raining and windy so we are in PJ's, me drinking tea and DD's eating raw carrots whilst watching Winnie the Pooh

Last week none of the blackberries around here were ripe, I'll have to go and have aother look sometimes soon. We have lots of little yellow plums, but they need de-stoning.

I am attempting to make something with the crazy yellow plums - how do you make jam? Boil fruit with sugar? I think I bought a bag of special 'jam sugar' once, I'll go look for it.

My mum made plum jam out of wild yellow plum, it is gorgeous and tangy, she also made blackberry jam, i have both in my fridge and am now craving jam on toast but i have fell out with crabs atm, they are not my friend grrr
