Evening all. Sorry have been a bit quiet here, have had 6 weeks with a jaw bone infection after a tooth extraction and the pain has been pretty hideous to say the least. I have been very down and struggling tbh. Have also had cold and Connor had d&v but all been a bit better today.
I have still been using all my lovely fluff though just havn't bought anything for a while. The postie must think I have moved house lol!
Myjob- photos on my profile now of wc nappy.

Hiya All, Only little old me!

Sorry im so busy not had chance to stop still.

Aww Mumface it sounds like you have had a really bad time of it! I hope you are on the mend and LO's feeling better too. Ds has had D&V here too was super nasty!

Good luck with the moves Jenny and swampster. and Wow too 400 nappies - I think if i had that many (for personal use) DH would use it as grounds for divorce! lol

Am trying to decide is Ds is well enought to return to toddlers this morning with the back end of a nasty cold now! Im sure they all pass these germs about on purpose.

Anyway all ive nothing clothy to talk about really. Lots going on with Babyboths though but im keeping stum for now!

Right im off to get sorted. - Have a good day all. BBL

Morning all, Connor still in dispos today, his poorly tum has made him so sore he has what looks like 3rd degree burns on his bum! So am using huge quantities of Sudocrem.
Other than that, all well hurrah!
Anybody know of some really newborn sized terries? Ones that will fit a tiny baby in the kite fold. I have Bright Bots but they are too bulky (reborn baby so absorbency not an issue!)

Babybots · 16/03/2010 10:10

Mumface, how about muslins? - not good with folds though so not sure! I know NB do some small terries though.

octothechildherder · 16/03/2010 10:46

large flannel??

Mumface - you sound like you are having a terrible time - hope stuff gets better soon xx

bagpuss · 16/03/2010 10:58

Oh mumface, much sympathy to you - hope you are all feeling better soon.

We used muslins in the jo fold on the dts when they were sub 5 lbs and they fitted great.

Am stalking the postman - was gutted when he didn't have a parcel for me . Quietly hoping that he comes back later though or that it will arrive in a van .

bagpuss · 16/03/2010 11:06

And just as I pressed post there was a knock at the door and they are here .

I am soooo pleased with them they are all gorgeous - will do pics later!

JennyPenny22 · 16/03/2010 11:16

mumface if these are any good you can have them FFP. I was about to list them for sale or add them in to the bundles I am selling. But for somebody on this thread I dont mind doing FFP. They were mothercare shaped terrys, so not folding, so might not be any good for you. They then had velco sewn on so basically they are now a fitted. Not sure if they will be too big, they are a bit bigger in size to XS sandys, but they are much thinner? They are also pink?
If these are no good to you then dont worry but the offer is there if you want them. Would be grateful if you were to get back to me asap though as I need to clear everything so would otherwise list them today.

mumface · 16/03/2010 12:10

Thanks a lot Jenny but I want old fashioned look of terries with a nappy pin, and I think they will be too big. She weighs 5lb and the terry nappy stops the dolls fabric body showing around tops of the legs as you can shape it around.

Babybots · 16/03/2010 12:15

Mumface how about a supermarket cheepie white towel and cut it to size. Now im intrigued?

Oh and poor little one with his sore bum - Ds was the same during his bug - Burns all over bum and not happy!

JennyPenny22 · 16/03/2010 12:35

I have some muslins you can have? They are coloured though?

mumface · 16/03/2010 13:04

I've got lots of muslins already thanks Jenny.

NappyShedSal · 16/03/2010 14:05

I have a newborn teeny tiny Tots Bots nappy that I had made for our local Maternity Unit - fits 4-8lb babies. I'm sure it would fit beautifully, and look super cute too!
Any good? If not Lollipop do newborn terry squares which are 40cm x 40cm instead of 60x60. They do up in a pretty neat fold too.

mumface · 16/03/2010 16:15

The lollipop ones sound nice and small Sal, I have tried some small fitteds on the baby doll and they look wrong because she doesn't have full legs and you can see the cloth body at the top of the legs.

bagpuss · 16/03/2010 17:06

Ah Rachel, you beat me to it .

Have put a pic of my new WN on my profile. Also some of the dts, especially for myjob .

salbysea · 16/03/2010 21:09

DS is snoozing away in cloth - 1st night in cloth, been using naturebaby sposies till now
he's in a WNNN (courtesy of myjob ) with a pair of fleece shorts under fleece jamies. Wasnt sure what to put over it, my BTP wraps didn't fit, not high enough.

am absolutely chuffed with how DS's nursery have taken to his cloth nappies - I get them back nicely rolled up in the appropriate wetbag (one for soiled, one for just wet) with the liners taken out

had a little panic today that now that I have settled on a stash that I am happy with, he is going to grow and they wont fit in 6 months time . He's already got all the front fold up poppers undone on his BTP nappies and he's only 11 months! is he going to have builder's-bum-itis by 18 months and need a whole new range of nappies?

gotta go torture myself by watching one born every minute now!

mumface · 16/03/2010 21:33

Yay a clothie on one born every minute! (wonders what she has bought)

JennyPenny22 · 16/03/2010 23:03

sabysea - he might slim down when he starts walking etc. They usually do. Your nappies were posted today too

JennyPenny22 · 16/03/2010 23:13

YAY there is starting to be a light at the end of the tunnel with the nappy situation! I still have a lot, but its starting to get a bit more manageable.

LackaDAISYcal · 16/03/2010 23:31

how about some oversized terry facecloths....like the ones that IKEA sell in a 10 pack for about £3? Are they big enough?

and lol at your 5lb baby.....never had a newborn that small myself!!!!

jenny, got your FB message, but it won't let me reply for some reason . Would love them, but my paypal account is suspended at the minute. Can I do a bank transfer instead? Realise you are busy with the move though, and am in no real hurry.

busy busy here too....can't seem to get time to pooter much at all! Changed days indeed, lol

salbysea · 16/03/2010 23:37

his tum has slimmed down (he's not walking but on his feet all day cruising furniture and dancing to music that I do NOT approve of like boyzone ), was on almost biggest waist setting before, now being poppered much tighter, so not worried about round the waist, more worried about height? am I just being silly?

Babybots · 17/03/2010 07:22

Morning all!

Salbysea my son was the same for a while but im pleased to say ive gone down a size in my one sizes instead of up and out! Ds's Bumg's etc are in the middle setting now at 16 months with lots of room, about 12 months i had them fully open. However He has slimmed down around the waist and thighs and slowed down in height a bit i think. Hopefully you wont have a problem.

Hmmm i keep missing one born every minute although in my current broody state its probably not a good idea anyway - mind you might put me off for a bit longer! lol

Hope everyone is well, i've picked up Z's cold so feel a bit naff but loads to do so havent got time to be ill!

Righty catch you all later
