Great news about site Jenny - names are tricky ... make sure you get the email address aswell. Are you using DYOS? I am about to set up a new one for the bags - likely to be more static and will link into NappyWardrobe. You need something catchy - that people will remember - but also something that reflects who you are - you could call it pennypinchers! Then get someone to make nappies called pennypinchers! Where to start???!!!

JennyPenny22 · 21/08/2009 09:26

I am using "Mr site" Which cost me £35 for the year. Not sure if thats a good deal or not but it seemed an easy site to make! I am bad that once I get an idea in my head, I want to do it right now! Lol.

BaronConker · 21/08/2009 09:33

jenny how about 'spend a penny'?!
Where did you get your storage ladder from?

Octothechildherder · 21/08/2009 10:07

hello SkimbleMcSkimble - welcome to the nappy annonymous buyers thread!

I am Octo - run NappyWardrobe - have 3 boys, live near Bath and am trying to do the ironing, washing .... but totally addicted to the internet!

SkimbleMcSkimble · 21/08/2009 10:36

Hi Octo,

I had sort of picked up on your involvement with nappy wardrobe, have taken a look on several occasions, will admit to not buying anything as of yet.

I am also in the SW like yourself although I am in Bristol, have 4 kids 3 boys and a Daughter.

Unfortunately I am currently at work, but really bored and have very little to do, so taking advantage of having web access

Also a bit of a cloth addict although have not moved into the customs yet, I have plenty of itti's which are just lush, BG's, Blueberry, Little Lambs, Totsbots, coolababy, wonderoos and some others that I cant remember off the top of my head.

Octothechildherder · 21/08/2009 10:42

ooh very close by lol - you don't have to buy anything from me - I work locally as an advisor so most of my sales are through that! Nice nappy collection - you are in good company around here with your ittis!

4andnotout · 21/08/2009 10:43

Hi Skimble I'm a sahm in Norfolk, 4 dd's of 7,4,23mo and 10m.

Octothechildherder · 21/08/2009 10:44

ooh a girl.... (((pink withdrawal symptoms))

4andnotout · 21/08/2009 10:45

Oh and i love itti's too I only need the blue spot, strawberry fields and moo to finish my collection

twoclimbingboys · 21/08/2009 10:49

Hello Skimble!

jenny - the site sounds great. Stocking UD fitteds would be fab!

baron - my nappy storage ladder was from here on ebay £5.99 and free postage

SkimbleMcSkimble · 21/08/2009 10:51

Unfortnately no pink fluff though, i think at 13 she may dissaprove of being paraded in a pink itti

All mine is for my youngest who is 9 months the others are 10 and one is an Angel but still always counted.

Hi 4, 4 dd's now there is the opportunity for lots of pink

JennyPenny22 · 21/08/2009 10:51

Welcome SkimbleMcSkimble! What can we call you for short? SMS? Or Skimble?

I am just opening all my fluffy post! Then I am off to hang yesterdays fluffy post on the line to dry!

Today, the postman has brought me:

2 Brand new coolababy pockets - 1 pink 1 yellow. They look good. Was suprised it is chinesse writting on the logo so doesn't actually say "coolababy" except on the insert. But it was from babybots so I assume it is meant to be like that!

2 sets of brand new WN wipes (i thought I had ordered 3 sets but must have changed my mind which is goood as I have UD ones on the way too!). One is ooga booga with cotton velour on the other side and one is bamboo on one side, cotton velour on the other. Typical that I have just filled my wipes pot!

4 preloved ittis - red, fushia, jade, purple. Medium. That means I now have a fushia in every size. Shame the small is getting toooo small!

2 peppa pig toys from CNT but thats not fluffy post! LOl.

OOOOOOOOhhhhhhh I have sorted myself out a lovely WAHM to make cloth san pro for my site! Yay! I won't say who till its official but its all looking good! Stuff is all starting to come together already!

And kids passports just arrived! Thats good as its not long till we go to tennerife and was starting to worry!

Good day for me and post! Shame the kids have both been miserable! Both sleeping so going to get on with the housework now before they wake up.

Can't decide if I should just risk using the coolababys with no insert? I am desperate to get testing so I know weather or not to order them wholesale or not!

Octothechildherder · 21/08/2009 11:01

Put any insert in Jenny!

Puddlekins does fab sanpro.

4andnotout · 21/08/2009 11:04

OOH Jenny i will have to wait and buy some csp from you then

Skimble-yes everything in this house is either pink or lilac!

Scotia · 21/08/2009 11:09

Jenny, exciting news about the website - keep us updated

Well Kerr has a blue bum today! I used aone of my dyed nappies on him last night and the dye has run I guess I should have washed them a few more times before using them, lolol.

BaronConker · 21/08/2009 11:09

Hi Skimble and welcome. I too am guilty of using this forum as displacement activity when I should be working! How hard is it to work, when your work is on your laptop but your laptop also contains loads of fun stuff? It's just not fair!

Jenny, saw someone on CNT the other day selling her own WAHM nappies - maybe she could do pennypinchers nappies for you! I would think a fleece pocket like Minki or Lollipop rainbow would be a scoosh to make, and cheap, if you sold without an insert so people could use prefolds and terries. I say that, but I can't even sew on a button, so am basically talking out of my arse... Sounded good though, I almost convinced myself!

Ho hum, back to filling in spreadsheets, yawn...

SkimbleMcSkimble · 21/08/2009 11:45

Jenny - I think just Skimble should do, good luck with the website, I had a friend that set one up and it was extremely hard work, but rewarding or at least thats what she said. I use a variety of inserts in my coolababy infact anything that is to hand, just like I do with all my pockets. Apart from when I get a bit ocd and match them all up correctly.

Baron - The distractions are far to many, although boss has just given me a load of work to do today, Fridays are supposed to be my sit in office and not do anything day. (as well as Monday, Tuesday etc etc), as for spreadsheets I automate all of mine, leaves me more time for doing nothing.

JennyPenny22 · 21/08/2009 11:53

! I wrote that I was thinking of using the coolababy without an insert! Thats NOT What I meant! LOL. I don't know what made me write that as that isn't what I was thinking at all! LOL. What I was meant to say was "should I risk using the coolababys without a PREWASH"!! LOL. There is no way it would last 5 mins with no insert! LOL . Thats tiredness for you!

JennyPenny22 · 21/08/2009 12:39

one of the UDs I bought last night isn't coming . Aparently me and somebody else both took it through the checkout at the same time so we both bought one nappy. They said she was slightly quicker so have given it to her . OH well. I wouldn't have cared much if it was one of the mediums but it was the only large that was left and I only have one large! Oh well. Elouise does fit into mediums!

4andnotout · 21/08/2009 12:41

Oh no Jenny

I'm having a bad day today

Octothechildherder · 21/08/2009 13:33

Skimble - sorry to hear one of yours is an angel Hope you are okay x We're a nice friendly thread

4 - oh dear - are you okay?

Jenny - have mailed you again!!

4andnotout · 21/08/2009 13:46

Much better now as have a friend coming this afternoon to reasure me about mice in the loft!!

twoclimbingboys · 21/08/2009 14:47

4 - my sister had a similar issye. Borrowing ones of my mums farm cats for a few weeks sorted it out.

jenny - that is so annoying about the over order. At least they told you quickly though.

BaronConker · 21/08/2009 15:33

Thanks, 2CB, for the storage ladder thing. I have three climbing boys, btw, and the youngest is the worst - he's always getting into terrible pickles. His favourite at the mo is to climb up onto DS1's top bunk and then sit up there and yell 'mama! mama!' (which is what he calls me, DH, and his brothers) until someone rescues him. Also spends most of his time sitting on the kitchen table throwing stuff onto the floor. He is 16 months.

Sorry people are having crap days . Hate to be smug, but I am having a lovely day! DS1 and DS2 have gone to PIL's for a sleepover and much as I love them, it is SO MUCH EASIER with just one child! Isn't it funny how when you have one, you think it's really hard work, but when you have three and only one is home, it seems so peaceful and lovely? We went to Pizza Express for lunch (was supposed to be a picnic but totally pee'd it down), then my and my friend browsed clothes in John Lewis. NEVER do that with 3 boys, as the older ones just go mental with boredom, so it was really nice!

Also, am happy to say my pushchair sold! ONly for £40 in the end but the cash is now in my paypal account waiting to be spent! I say that, but I did just spend £89 in John Lewis so in reality it's already gone
