i have problems with poo leaks, but they are so good for wee it out weighs it!!
im sure once poos are more solid it is less of a problem tho.

i have spare inserts that i bought for night time use, i put them in a MEOS and a wrap and they do up to 12 hours
imagine if you could get shaped nappies made of that material, would be totally bomb proof. they should branch out lol!

KirstyJC · 20/08/2009 11:08

Hello Ladies! I have been reading your thread for ages, trying to keep off it 'cos I'm buying too many nappies as it is, and I reckon you lot would egg me on to buy even more!!! (And then a wardrobe to put them all in!).

I just wanted to add my twopence-worth to the washing liquid debate - I do use Ecover liquid, but I have found that if you stick a bit of Ecover bleach powder in with it you get a lovely clean fresh-smelling wash. It even gets out blueberry-eating poos! (And those babies STAIN!)

Took me ages to find it, but when I did I stocked up and it is fab. I use it in whites and nappies washes, only takes a bit (1 tbsp) for a whole wash but I just chuck a random amount in each time! I also stick a few drops of lavendar oil in the conditioner bit and they all smell lush.

Scotia · 20/08/2009 11:27

Natty, did your tots bots arrive from Amazon then? And how many was it for that price? My Bamboozles came yesterday and they are lovely and soft. I've never had bamboo nappies before and I won't look back now

I've never had a leak from my ittis, although the wetness does wick through if I leave them on too long. Ds had a disposable on last night because I've not caught up with the washing since I felt ill, and he had a massive explosion right up the back of his babygro - yuk!

Tree, I hope things get better for you soon. Have you decided whether to use the tamiflu?

I use Ecover bleach powder too and it really does work well. I bought up all the stock of Bambinex nappy wash in my local Boots when they were recuced to pennies and I find it quite good too.

And for all of you selling puschairs - I'M NOT LOOKING, lol. Got my fingers in my ears and my eyes shut

And thanks for all the advice about my mastitis, it's well on the mend now

Hello Kirsty!

I actually feel totally gult free about using Bold. At least bold doesn't add to landfill. I did just use soap flakes for a while but the poop marks/stains just weren't touched but it - yuck.

Itti's look lovely but were an awful fit on Blake - terrible poop containment and builder's bum!

JennyPenny22 · 20/08/2009 13:09

FLUFFY POST!

I got - my 3 muttaquins which I haven't had a chance to even look at properly as ELouise took them out of the package and didn't want to give them back. She has now taken them to bed with her for a nap

I also got my Lollipop pop and grows! Yay. " nappies and a bag.
Anybody who uses them - do you use both lay in boosters? The nappy does look very big with them all in but haven't tried them on the babies yet!

I also got my storage ladder - meaning I can organise my nappies a bit better!

AND I got another flutterby dyed WNNL and the skulls UD fitted.

TheNatty · 20/08/2009 13:36

scotia:
tots turned up with just one nappy, have emailed to complain.

my bamboozles turned up today they are in the machine now.
even tho i dont need anything else.. cant stop trawling the for sale boards

4andnotout · 20/08/2009 13:38

Jenny I only use one booster in the pop n gros otherwise they gape at the leg.

I use bold and I'd rather use bio than have stinky children or a bin full of disposables

purplesal · 20/08/2009 13:40

JennyPenny - the pop'n'gros will need quite a few washes to get up to full absorbency. I don't know how old your LO is - did you not get a Pop'n'Gro user guide. 7-10lbs, probably no booster needed. 10lbs plus definitley need a booster which shold be placed more towrads the front of the nappy - can be doubled over. I would tend to use the bamboo one to get a slim fit and then both for overnight.

JennyPenny22 · 20/08/2009 14:06

Yes - prewashing today with lots of nappies! Lol

Octo - the bag that came with them - do you know if it is waterproof?

Another leak from an itti - this time wee and from a small. Maybe the smalls are too small now. Could only just get it on!

Off to organise my nappies!

swampster · 20/08/2009 15:09

Obviously missing you, 4, as I am here! Waiting for a hurricane called Bill.

eco-hell, Baron . I actually like Ecover but that's not what I'm here to talk about. I suppose MrsHolierThanThou has never bought any clothes that weren't eco-certified or anything mass produced? Or taken holiday abroad and travelled by plane? I bet she drives a car while wittering on about her carbon footprint. [doesn't drive but did fly here emoticon]

From Bonnie at Holden's Landing: use coupon code EMBROIDERY to receive off any instock item (there are 5 BedBugs and 1 pair of knit shorts that are already greatly reduced).

4andnotout · 20/08/2009 15:13

Jenny-what size is your stawberry fields itti?

Octo-my fluffy post has arrived and is fantastic would it be completely tragic to use the bag as a handbag? I will anyway!! The spray bottle is fantastic have already melted a soap piece in it and used it, the kids think it is hilarious having their bits sprayed but it is a lot easier to get the sticky poo off.

Natty-going to send your parcel to the p.o with dp when he gets back, have also got another parcel to send which is a swap.

BaronConker · 20/08/2009 15:42

rusmum, I am sellling a Jane Sonic, it's an umbrella fold thingie. A couple of people have asked for pics at the new and reduced price so am off to find my camera. Hope someone buys it, I've had a lot of timewasters recently for stuff I put on CNT. V annoying.

4andnotout · 20/08/2009 16:00

Natty-You should have fluffy post in the morning

newspaperdelivery · 20/08/2009 16:22

OOOO 4 what pattern you got? Boho? Glad the spray a success. Mine from Boots doesn't spray enough iyswim?
Good luck with sale Baron!

ROFL at Elouise taking fluff to bed.

I don't think I got a bag with pop'n'grow. I like them My one small thing is the insert isn't that soft next to her skin. But I'm a bit precious and want everything velour lined It's nothing a good big liner can't sort. I use one booster to avoid gapes.

Bamboo does take ages to get to full absorbency doesn't it?

4andnotout · 20/08/2009 16:27

Yes i got another clementine boho xl So that's my lot now as i have 2 xl (pink and clem boho) and 1 small (clem boho)

newspaperdelivery · 20/08/2009 16:36
Envy
BaronConker · 20/08/2009 16:56

Jenny, I only use the fluffy duvet-type booster - Jamie is quite a heavy wetter but even he doesn't seem to need both, and the nappy always lasts 3-4 hours. Tried it once with no booster, big mistake! Does take lots of pre washes so be warned...
I use the bamboo booster as an extra layer in my easyfits

newspaperdelivery · 20/08/2009 17:00

Oh God I'm talking about a different nappy! ROFL!!

I was thinking pop-in. Pop'n'gro booster could hardly be softer really could it? I use it in particular when she has a sore bot.

JennyPenny22 · 20/08/2009 17:08

LOL tree - I did wonder what you were on about! lol

newspaperdelivery · 20/08/2009 17:17

Grin Blush Grin

Octothechildherder · 20/08/2009 17:24

Jenny - have emailed you pop n gro instructions! I don;t think that bag is waterproof but the one the washable wipes come in is (drawstring bag).

Stocks on some bags are low already - please check drop down lists for availability!

BaronConker · 20/08/2009 18:03

Ooh, Octo, make sure you put one aside for whatever lucky lady wins the CNT review competition

Scotia · 20/08/2009 18:52

Octo and 4and, I've found you both on Facebook and requested you as friends

JennyPenny22 · 20/08/2009 19:23

Scotia - are you on my FB?
Octo - feel free to add me! Name comes up on my email. My picture is my 20month old sitting picking flowers. There are lots of people with my name!

Scotia · 20/08/2009 19:39
